Pop superstar Katy Perry has officially announced dates for her upcoming California Dreams World Tour, in support of her platinum-selling sophomore album Teenage Dream. Katy will kick off the California Dreams tour on February 20th in Lisbon, Portugal, traveling throughout Europe, the U.K., Australia and Japan before hitting Canada and the U.S. The North American leg of the tour sponsored by Schick® Quattro for Women® will start on June 7th in Atlanta, GA and will run through August 14th with two shows in Katy’s hometown Santa Barbara, CA. The tour is making its way to Connecticut for one night only in Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, June 25th at 7:30pm with special guest Mariana & The Diamonds.

Katy is planning on interacting with fans through social media networks throughout the California Dreams tour. Using Facebook Places/Deals, fans will be able to check in to the venues each night to receive special treats. In addition, Katy has also partnered with I Love All Access to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, pre-show parties and more. As announced last week, Katy will perform at this year’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Feb. 13th. Six-time nominee, Katy is up for four awards this year including the coveted “Album of the Year,” along with “Best Pop Album,” “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” for “Teenage Dream” and “Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals” for “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg. Katy has also been nominated for two BRIT awards for “International Album” and “International Female Solo Artist.” The BRIT awards will be handed out live on February 15th at the O2 Arena in London.
Teenage Dream was released in August 2010 and has since sold 5 million copies worldwide. The album’s first single, “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg was the biggest selling song of 2010 according to Soundscan with 4,398,212 tracks scanned. After “California Gurls” spent six weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Katy scored two follow-up #1’s with “Teenage Dream” and her current single “Firework,” making her the first female artist in 11 years to score three Billboard #1 singles from the same album.
Katy is gearing up to launch the album’s 4th single “E.T.” which will impact radio next month. She will soon shoot the video with director Floria Sigismondi (Marilyn Manson, Bjork, David Bowie, Christina Aguilera, Muse, The White Stripes).
Earlier this month, Katy won two People’s Choice Awards for “Favorite Female Artist” and “Favorite Online Sensation” — awards voted on by fans. The Heart & Soul 2011 North American Tour stops in Uncasville on March 27th
Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks have joined forces for one of the most anticipated musical events of the year, The Heart & Soul Tour. First induction class includes mainstays Little Anthony & The Imperials, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Jay Black, Eddie Money and America
Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den, the 400-seat venue which has offered free nightly entertainment for guests 21 and over since its opening in 1996 and has helped catapult the careers of some of the biggest names in music including Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Zac Brown Band, has announced the creation and first inductees of The Wolf Den Hall Of Fame. This exclusive club recognizes a distinct class of performers who have made a significant contribution to the continued success of Mohegan Sun.
The first induction class includes Little Anthony & The Imperials (performing in the Wolf Den on January 8th), John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band (performing in the Wolf Den on February 5th), Jay Black (performing in the Wolf Den on March 11th), Eddie Money (performing in the Wolf Den on April 30th) and America (performing in the Wolf Den on May 28th).

Elton John and his band will appear in concert at Mohegan Sun Arena performing their “Greatest Hits Live” concert, featuring number one chart hits and classic album tracks from throughout Elton’s incredible five-decade career.
