The Holiday Marvels Classic returns to Mohegan Sun for multiple performances at The Cabaret Theatre beginning December 12th
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 18, 2014) — A holiday staple at Mohegan Sun, The Albano Ballet Company production of The Nutcracker will celebrate its 13th season at Mohegan Sun, thrilling audiences old, young and in-between. One of the most magical ballets in the region will have a run of shows between Friday, December 12th through Sunday, December 21st. Full schedule and details are below.
Tickets are $38.00, $35.00 and $32.00 for adults and $32.00, $29.00 and $26.00 for children and are sale now through Ticketmaster. Lavish costumes, theatrical scenery, incredible cast of over 100 stars hailing from the likes of Italy, Greece, France, Japan, Hong Kong and New York City bring to life the best Nutcracker in Connecticut! The ballet performance is joined by a live orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Daniel Lee, who has been on the podium for Gottingen Symphony, Hartford Symphony, Yale Philharmonia and Julliard Orchestras. And the scenery on stage is designded by Robert O. Moody, Professor Emeritus at Brandeis University and recipient of the United States Institute for the Theatre Technology Distinguished Achievement Award.
The story of the Nutcracker embraces Christmas and its symbolic tree that grows to huge proportions. Giant mice with blinking eyes and an exploding cannon are part of the dazzling stage theatrics.

Prince hits Mohegan Sun Arena beginning December 27th
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 25, 2013) — The legendary and prolific Prince is bringing his epic live show to Mohegan Sun Arena concerts kicking off on Friday, December 27th followed with a Saturday, December 28th performance and finishing on Sunday, December 29th. All shows will begin at 8:00pm. Janelle Monáe will be a special guest for the Sunday, December 29th show! This will mark Prince’s first ever performance at Mohegan Sun.
Tickets for all three shows are $195.00 and $125.00 and go on sale Friday, December 6th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Todd English’s Tuscany will host a very special Mother’s Day Brunch from 10:00am – 2:00pm featuring some great options at the Raw Bar with Littleneck Clams, Oysters & Shrimp, an Omelet & Eggs to order station, a Pasta Station with Short Rib Ravioli, Seafood Fettuccini Fra Diavolo and Torchio with Prosciutto, Artichoke, Peas & Alfredo and more.
Carved items will include Rack of Lamb, Prime Rib and Brown Sugar-Glazed Ham. Some hot offerings will include Classic Eggs Benedict, Stuffed French Toast with Vanilla Sauce, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Lobster Cream & Fried Leeks and Sage Brined Chicken, Goat Cheese Spiked Potato with Garlicky Spinach, Hunter Sauce and Breakfast Sausage. A dessert station will also be available with a great selection of gourmet Pastries & Desserts.
This special Mother’s Day Brunch is available for $38.00 per person which includes a complimentary glass of champagne or Mimosa.
For dinner, Tuscany will also have a special four course meal available. It begins with Caprese Salad assembled with Heirloom Tomatoes, Burrata Italian Cheese, Crispy Prosciutto, Pesto, Olive Oil and Sea Salt, followed by Lobster Ravioli with Old Bay Brown Butter and Parmesan Foam. Next up is the main course, a Pastrami-Rubbed Duck with Pea and Mint Risotto and Duck Jus, topped off with a serving of Grasshopper Pie and Red Velvet Ice Cream for dessert. Guests can get this all for $55.00 per person ($90.00 with wine pairings). Dinner hours at Tuscany on Mother’s Day will be from 4:00pm – 10:00pm.
Over at Birches Bar & Grill, guests can enjoy a three-course special beginning with Soup Du Jour or Garden Salad with Sweet Herb Vinaigrette or a traditional Caesar Salad. Stuffed Salmon with Crabmeat & Lobster Meat finished with a Chardonnay Dill Cream Sauce served with Asparagus Spears and Rice Pilaf. An Orange Chiffon Bombe with a Grand Marnier Cheesecake center served with an Orange-Vanilla Sauce and Edible Flower completes the meal which is available for $32.00 per person and will be served from 11:00am – 10:00pm.

Mohegan Sun’s culinary team will offer a selection of gourmet entrées and desserts for the holidays. Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Porcini-Crusted Halibut and Stuffed Chicken Breast are highlights of the signature dishes to be served for December 24th and 25th.
Wednesday, December 24th
Todd English’s Tuscany will offer Sweet Potato Zuppa, Tuna Puttanesca and New York Strip with Foie Gras Spaetzel with Cocoa and Doughnuts for dessert. The meal will be offered at $60.00 per person. Dinner will be served from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
Bamboo Forest offers Filet Medallions with Chive Flowers and Baby Bok Choy followed by Cheesecake with warm Cherries Jubilee Sauce. Each meal will be $18.00 per person. Bamboo Forest will be open from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
