WHAT: Who’s in for a salty good time? The Sun Tequila Tasting returns with an explosion of flavor and a wide variety of drink samples! On Saturday, July 22nd, salt, sugar, and limes will come together to complement a selection of delicious tequila and margarita samples at our mixology stations.

IN DETAIL: Prepare for a tequila-filled night at Mohegan Sun’s 4th Annual Sun Tequila Tasting! Pedal a one-of-a-kind blender bike to mix up a custom margarita at an exclusive Patrón-sponsored happy hour. Plus, indulge in savory Mexican fare provided by Hot Taco. Tickets to Sun Tequila Tasting are $75 and are on sale now via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available for $80 on the day of the event. Additionally, guests can purchase tickets at the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to support the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. Guests must be 21 years of age of older to attend. Valid ID and ticket are required upon entry.
The Premier Patrón Patio is back this year with a special twist! Guests can enjoy an exclusive ticketed happy hour at the Earth Terrace before the party gets started at the Sun Tequila Tasting. Attendees will get VIP access to Patrón Gran Platinum, Gran Piedra, Gran Burdeos and El Cielo poured by expert brand ambassadors. Patrón’s custom VR set will also be available for guests to fully immerse themselves in the grand hacienda and explore. Mohegan Sun’s Party on the Patio is the best spot for over-21 fun every Friday night from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. The Summer Entrance will transform into a space where guests can enjoy drink specials like $5 beer and Grey Goose cocktails, fire pits, food trucks, and so much more while listening to some of the best tribute bands around.
All guests must be 21 or older and have a valid ID. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, feel free to bring your own chairs! Guests are not permitted to bring coolers or outside food/beverages. Bands and food trucks subject to change.

This year’s Hot Summer Fun welcomes the return of live outdoor entertainment with a new twist! Party on the Patio takes place every Friday from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. The Summer Entrance has transformed into a space where guests can enjoy an 80 foot bar, fire pits and food trucks, all while listening to some of the best tribute bands around. Anticipated acts include 7800 Fahrenheit (a tribute to Bon Jovi) on July 9th, Parrot Beach (a tribute to Jimmy Buffett) on July 16th, Big Eyed Phish (a tribute to Dave Matthews Band) on August 27th, B Street Band (a tribute to Bruce Springsteen) on September 3rd and more. Guests looking for a more low key live entertainment experience can enjoy novelle’s Acoustic Hideaway every Thursday from 6:00pm – 10:00pm, and every Friday & Saturday from 7:30pm – 11:30pm.
ADDITIONAL HOT SUMMER FUN
Momentum members who have a need for speed will have the chance to test drive a Tesla at the Summer Valet on Saturday, July 17th and Sunday, July 18th. Guests can experience a 15-minute test drive of a Tesla Model 3 or a Tesla Model Y from 10:00am – 6:00pm. A Tesla representative will also be on-hand to discuss each model in detail. This event is exclusively for Momentum members. Those who are interested in participating are asked to reserve a time slot in advance. All participants will be required to fill out a demonstration drive agreement form, and provide a valid driver’s license along with their Momentum card.

BBQ lovers rejoice! Mohegan Sun’s annual Sun BBQ Fest returns to wrap up Hot Summer Fun on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Guests can gather in the Winter Parking Lot to taste the best in barbecue, cold beer and handcrafted cocktails, all while enjoying live entertainment. Full plate vending will be provided from nationally acclaimed BBQ teams. Sample bites will also be available through the “People’s Choice Competition”, and guests are also welcome to participate in the annual Wing & Rib competition. Over $25,000 in prize money will be given out over the course of two days! Saturday’s festivities will also conclude with a special fireworks show. Ticket and vendor information are forthcoming.

UNCASVILLE, CT (June 22, 2020) – Hot Summer Fun is back at Mohegan Sun! This year’s celebration may look a little different than past years, but there are still endless ways to enjoy the season under the Sun – including fun-filled promotions, exclusive offerings, big giveaways and more!
HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members won’t want to miss Hot Summer Fun’s daily giveaways! Prizes include Momentum Dollars, Free Slot Play, thousands of dollars in cash giveaways, free t-shirts and a pontoon boat from Petzold’s Marine Center.
Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash by playing their favorite slots or table games during More Monday Mondays. From June 29th to August 31st, one Momentum member will be selected every 30 minutes from 10:00am – 7:30pm and win $500 cash. That’s 20 winners every Monday! All winners must be present with valid ID to win.
On Status Showdown Tuesdays, Momentum members will have the chance to compete against fellow status level members for up to $1,000 Momentum Dollars every week from June 30th – September 1st. Momentum members can play their favorite slots or wager in the Race Book from 6:00am – 10:00pm and the members with the top five scores per status level will win Momentum Dollars. Momentum members must be an Ignite, Leap, Ascend or Soar member to be eligible. More Momentum Wednesdays are back from July 1st through September 2nd. Momentum members can play their favorite slots from 6:00am – Midnight to receive Double Momentum Dollars. Double Status Points can be earned while playing table games including stadium gaming and placing wagers in the Race Book. Also, with Bring-A-Friend Free Slot Play, any Momentum member who brings a friend to create a new Momentum account during More Momentum Wednesdays will receive $10.00 in Free Slot Play for themselves and $10.00 in Free Slot Play for the new member!
Win All Day Thursdays take place from July 2nd through September 3rd. From 11:00am – 9:00pm, Momentum members can win a share of prizes including incredible gifts and experiences! During Fun Fridays, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Uncas Ballroom (located next to SolToro in Casino of the Sky) will receive a free t-shirt. Guests can sail away on a Sylvan Mirage 8522 LZ pontoon boat from Petzold’s Marine Center by participating in the Go With the Float Giveaway! All guests have to do is swipe their Momentum card once a day at any promotional kiosk to score Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or entries into the grand prize drawing! Momentum members can double their total entries by swiping their Momentum card at any kiosk on Friday, September 4th from 6:00am – 4:00pm, right before the final drawing that evening at 7:00pm. Momentum members can cool off during Hot Summer Fun with some cold hard cash, courtesy of Mohegan Sun’s $50,000 Jackpot Celebration! Momentum members who win a jackpot of $1,200 or more on any slot machine now through July 17th will receive an entry form for a chance to win a share of $50,000 cash and Free Slot Play prizes! To participate, all entries must be dropped into the drawing drum at the Guest Assistance Center in The Shops at Mohegan Sun by Friday, July 17th.
