Hot Summer Fun Returns to Mohegan Sun for 26th Year
Feel the heat all summer long with exciting entertainment, fun-filled promotions, exclusive offerings, special events and more
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 20, 2023) – 26 years of Hot Summer Fun and it’s only getting hotter! The festivities get started on Monday, June 26th, where guests can take advantage of daily Momentum member promotions, special events, exciting live entertainment in Mohegan Sun Arena and the Wolf Den, Party on the Sun Patio and more through Friday, September 1st.
HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property. When a friend of an existing Momentum member signs up for a new Momentum account any weekday during Hot Summer Fun, both guests will receive $10 in Free Slot Play!
On More Money Mondays, Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash! Every Monday from June 26th – August 28th, one Momentum member will be randomly selected every hour between 10:00am – 7:00pm to win $1,000 cash. That’s 10 winners every Monday! To enter, Momentum members can play their favorite slots, tables, stadium games or in the Poker Room. All Momentum members must be present to win.
During Catchin’ Rays Tuesdays, from 10:00am to 7:00pm, one winner playing slots or table games will be randomly selected at the top of each hour to spin the wheel in The Shops concourse for a chance to win up to $500,000! Must be present to win. All prizes are cash!
Momentum members can double down on the Momentum earnings during Wild Winning Wednesdays. Every Wednesday from June 28th – August 30th, Momentum members who play their favorite slots from 6:00am – Midnight will receive double Momentum Dollars. Momentum members can also earn double Status Points while playing their favorite table games, including Poker, stadium gaming and wagers placed in the Race Book.
With Thrills & Chills Thursdays, Momentum members can go head-to-head with other members in their Status Level for up to $1,000 Momentum Dollars! Momentum members can play their favorite slots, table games, stadium games or wager in the Race Book and Poker Room from 6:00am – 10:00pm every Thursday from June 29th – August 31st. Five winners per Status Level will be selected each week, and the Momentum members who earn the most Status Points will win a Momentum Dollar prize! Momentum members must be a Core, Ignite, Leap, Ascend or Soar member to participate.
Momentum members can start their weekend off right with Fun in the Sun Fridays. Starting at 10:00am, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Play+ Event Center (located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth) will receive a commemorative, free Hot Summer Fun t-shirt. New colors will be offered every Friday from June 30th – September 1st and Momentum members will have the chance to collect all 10! All participants must present their Momentum card and a valid photo ID to participate. Limit one shirt per Momentum member, per Friday.
Let the winning continue with a special Hot Summer Fun session of our $100,000 Jackpot Celebration! From June 4th – September 2nd, Momentum members who hit a jackpot of $1,200 or more on their favorite slot machines will receive one entry form and have the chance to be one of the 50 winners who will win their share of $100,000 cash and Free Slot Play prizes! Jackpot winners must activate their entries at the Play+ Event Center between the hours of Noon and 7:00pm on Saturday, September 2nd. Entry forms must be deposited in the barrel at the Guest Assistance Center. Lucky winners will be chosen at 7:30pm on Saturday, September 2nd (there will be no live drawing). KIOSK PROMOTIONS
One lucky Momentum member will win a custom solar installation for their home from Momentum Solar, courtesy of Mohegan Sun’s Running on Sun Giveaway! Guests can swipe their Momentum card once a day at any promotional kiosk from June 26th through September 1st for a chance to win Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or entries into the grand prize drawing for state-of-the-art solar panels. Those looking to double their total entries can swipe their Momentum card at any promotional kiosk on Friday, September 1st from 6:00am – 4:00pm. The grand prize drawing takes place on Friday, September 1st at 4:00pm. Momentum members can visit any Player’s Club booth for official details.
Momentum members who are looking for a quick cool down can pick up a complimentary Hot Summer Fun Neck Fan at the Play+ Event Center on Saturday, July 1st. The giveaway begins at 10:00am, and the Hot Summer Fun Neck Fans are limited to the first 1,000 Momentum members. All guests must present their Momentum card as well as a valid photo ID. Limit is one neck fan per Momentum member.

Get ready to make summer nights unforgettable! Mohegan Sun’s popular live outdoor entertainment series Party on the Sun Patio is back and takes place every Friday from June 30th – September 1st from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. The former Summer Entrance has transformed into a breezy outdoor area called the Sun Patio, where guests can gather to enjoy incredible drink specials, play classic yard games and dance to music provided by some of the best tribute bands around! A rotating lineup of amazing food trucks like Whey Station and Munchies Food Truck will also be on-hand for guests looking for a tasty bite. The Hot Summer Fun doesn’t stop there! The 4th Annual Sun Tequila Tasting returns with an explosion of flavor and a wide variety of drink samples. On Saturday, July 22nd, salt, sugar, and limes will come together to complement a selection of delicious tequila and margarita samples at up to 20 mixology stations. Plus, indulge in savory Mexican fare provided by Hot Taco. Capture memories at the photo booth, dance to the high-energy beats of DJ Rico and shimmy to Fiesta Del Notre’s one of a kind Mariachi band! The Premier Patrón Patio is also back with an exclusive twist. From 6:30pm – 7:30pm, guests can take advantage of a ticketed VIP happy hour where they can access a limited reserve of Patrón Gran Platinum, Gran Piedra, Gran Burdeos and El Cielo poured by expert brand ambassadors. Immersive experiences at the Premier Patrón Patio happy hour include Patrón’s custom VR set and pedaling the one-of-a-kind blender bike to mix up a refreshing margarita.
