John Fogerty’s Celebration Tour continues at Mohegan Sun Arena

Tickets On Sale Friday, March 15th

UNCASVILLE, CT (March 11, 2024) –– Announced today, legendary Rock musician John Fogerty continues his Celebration Tour this summer including a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, June 16th at 7:00pm.  Joining in the party as special guests are fellow ‘bad to the bone’ music icons, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, and Rock band, Hearty Har.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 15th at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Rock fans can purchase tickets at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Saturday, March 16th, subject to availability.

As founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty’s career spans 50 years and he is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in Rock history. As the writer, singer and producer of numerous classic hits including “Born on the Bayou”, “Green River”, “Proud Mary”, and “Bad Moon Rising”, Fogerty is a Grammy winner who has been honored as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers by Rolling Stone.

Earning induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music. In January 2023, he regained control over his works, acquiring majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord. Currently on a worldwide Celebration Tour, Fogerty is now performing his classic songs, with his two sons, for the first time since owning his catalog of songs which have resonated with fans for over five decades.

In December of 1973 at The University of Delaware’s Lane Hall, a guitarist, a drummer, and their rhythm guitarist set up on the small bandstand. Though the three-piece band had barely rehearsed, guitarist George Thorogood and drummer Jeff Simon had been bashing out covers of songs they loved. Five decades, 15 million albums and more than 8,000 performances later, few bands can still rock the house like George Thorogood & The Destroyers. And for Thorogood, Simon, and long-time Destroyers, Bill Blough, Jim Suhler and Buddy Leach, their Bad All Over The World – 50 Years of Rock Tour will be a celebration like no other.

Led by brothers Shane Fogerty (guitar/vocals) and Tyler Fogerty (guitar/vocals), the Los Angeles Rock band Hearty Har formed in 2012 and quickly became known for their exciting and raucous live shows. Backed by Jesse Wilson (bass), Richard Millsap (drums), Nick Stratton (guitar) and Douglas Lamothe (keys), the band blends modern psychedelia with classic Garage Rock and Roll. Imagine a neon lightning bolt extending from the stage and reaching deep into your heart, down to your feet, then through the ground to the Earth’s core. Now you have an idea of Hearty Har’s live show.

John Fogerty Celebrates His Songs at Mohegan Sun Arena

Tickets on sale Friday, February 24th

Legendary Rock musician and songwriter John Fogerty is celebrating his music with The Celebration Tour.  Fogerty returns to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 27th.

Tickets are $99.50, $59.50, $49.50, and $39.50, and go on sale Friday, February 24th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, February 25th, subject to availability.

John Fogerty is a true American treasure. As leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own — equal parts Blues, Country, Pop, Rockabilly, R&B, Swamp Boogie, and Southern Fried Rock N’ Roll all united by his uniquely evocative lyrical perspective. Fogerty is a Grammy winner and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is the only musician to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for his song “Centerfield,” a staple at baseball stadiums across the country.

Among Fogerty’s many hit songs, both as a solo artist and as the leader of CCR, highlights include “Centerfield,” “Proud Mary,” “Susie Q,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” among many others.

In 2019, Fogerty celebrated 50 years in music with a worldwide tour including a return appearance at Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Theater. His most recent show, “My 50 Year Trip,” a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, features a collection of Creedence Clearwater Revival hits, including songs from the set list of this performance at the legendary Woodstock music festival in 1969. An album, 50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks, was released on November 8, 2019.

In April 2020, while quarantining with the Fogerty Family, John with his sons Shane, Tyler, and daughter Kelsy gathered in their home studio to play some music together. A weekly video series began and became so popular that a digital EP Fogerty’s Factory was released on Fogerty’s 75th birthday. An extended Fogterty’s Factory full album was released in November 2020.

In 2023, Fogerty, the composer of iconic songs that have inspired generations acquired a majority interest of the worldwide publishing rights to his historic song catalog from Concord. The compositions have been both a decades-long dream and a personal mission for John. For years, the copyrights to Fogerty’s classic songs were the property of Saul Zaentz, the owner of Fantasy Records, who sold the label and its publishing portfolio to the former Concord Music Group in 1995. Fogerty, who extricated himself from Fantasy in 1974, re-signed with the label upon its purchase by Concord. Even so, he was not able to gain ownership of his songs – until now.

“As of this January, I own my own songs again. This is something I thought would never be a possibility. After 50 years, I am finally reunited with my songs. I also have a say in where and how my songs are used. Up until this year, that is something I have never been able to do. I am looking forward to touring and celebrating this year! I want to thank Concord for helping to make all of this happen. And, I am excited for new ideas and a renewed interest in my music … like a revival,” John Fogerty said.

Tickets are $44.50 and go on sale Friday, April 3rd through Ticketmaster at 10:00am.  Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.  Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, April 4th, subject to availability.
And, coming October 6, 2015, from Little, Brown and Company, is the long-anticipated memoir by John Fogerty, titled FORTUNATE SON: My Life, My Music. With John Fogerty writing hit after hit, Creedence Clearwater Revival burst on the music scene with an energy so bright, his songs outsold The Beatles in 1969. Then, just as quickly, that CCR fire burned out in a series of internal band struggles that left the music world without the influence of one of its brightest stars for over two decades.
“I’m excited to share my story and my life with you,” said Fogerty.  “You’re going to hear where it all started, my passion to become the best musician I could be.  You’ll travel down some rough roads, but that road leads to something beautiful.  My book won’t be sugar coated!  It’s all in there.”
Creedence Clearwater Revival is one of the most important and beloved bands in the history of Rock ‘n Roll, and the story that John Fogerty’s memoir tells will keep music lovers and avid readers captivated.  Fogerty wrote, sang and produced the iconic classics “Born on the Bayou,” “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising” and so many more. Now he reveals how he brought CCR to the top of the charts and how, one year later, CCR was falling apart. Their amazing talents and culturally-prophetic songs, however, have endured for decades despite the series of personal and legal issues. FORTUNATE SON takes readers from Fogerty’s northern California roots, through Creedence’s success, his retreat from music and public life, to Fogerty’s hard-won revival as a solo artist who finally, through it all, found love.
John Fogerty was songwriter, lead singer and lead guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival and is one of Rock’s most influential musicians and writers. Fogerty has been named one of the 100 Greatest Singers and one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists by Rolling Stone and his most recent album was named one of RS’s 10 Best Albums of 2013.
