UNCASVILLE, CT (June 10, 2024) – On Sunday, June 9th, Mohegan Sun Arena celebrated another milestone. A sold-out show with legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks marked 3,000 Arena events since opening the award-winning 10,000-seat venue in October 2001. As part of this celebration, Mohegan Sun selected two lucky concert goers for a special upgraded prize package!

Over its 23-year history, Mohegan Sun Arena has hosted entertainment powerhouses Bruce Springsteen, Matt Rife, Billy Joel, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Pink, Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, and many more. Top comedians including Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Kevin James, and Sebastian Maniscalco have also graced the stage. The Arena will also present a three-night run beginning August 16th starring popular actor and comic Shane Gillis and continue to host the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun. The CT Sun made their debut at Mohegan Sun Arena in May 2003, and are currently the #1 team in the league with a 9-1 record. Mohegan Sun Arena has also had the honor of hosting WNBA events like the WNBA draft, All-Star games, and the WNBA Finals.
This year has been busy for Mohegan Sun Arena as the venue reached the 15 million total guests’ milestone in February. Other accolades include being awarded the 2024 Newsweek Readers’ Choice award for “Best Casino with Live Entertainment in America” and being named “Best Casino/Resort Venue of the Year” at the 35th Annual Pollstar Awards.

One of comedy’s biggest acts is heading to Mohegan Sun Arena for a night of laughs. Here Comes The Boom star Kevin James will perform on Saturday, September 13th at 8:00pm.
Tickets are $45.00 and go on sale Friday, April 4th through Ticketmaster at 10:00am. Kevin James, producer, co-writer, and star of the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) and Zookeeper (2011) can be seen in his latest film, Here Comes The Boom. James also starred in Columbia Pictures’ blockbuster Grown Ups (2010) along with Adam Sandler; previously, James and Sandler worked together on I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007) and they were back together recently for Grown Ups 2 (2013).
James broke into the film world in 2005 in Columbia Pictures’ Hitch starring opposite Will Smith, but his comedy career started well before that as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom which became the enormously successful The King of Queens. The show enjoyed an 8-season run through 2007 and continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world.
In 2001, James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. In 2005, Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach; a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy.
Aside from his on-camera work, James’s voice has been featured in the animated films Barnyard (2006) for Nick Movies, as well as Monster House (2006) and Hotel Transylvania (2012) for Sony Pictures Animation.

Hilarious stand-up comedian is back at Mohegan Sun Arena on December 30th
