Meet New England’s own boxing great, Micky Ward, on Saturday, November 14th in Bow & Arrow Sports Bar as he takes part in a free Signings & Sightings event.  The junior welterweight, whom the movie The Fighter was based, will be signing autographs for fans beginning at 9:00pm.
ABOUT MICKY:
Micky captured both the WBU Intercontinental Light Welterweight title and the WBU Light Welterweight title during his career in boxing.  He also won the respect and admiration of many fans worldwide.  The song “The Warrior’s Code” by the Punk Rock band Dropkick Murphys is dedicated to Micky Ward and his photograph appears on the cover of the album.  Ward’s trilogy with Arturo Gatti, the first of which took place at Mohegan Sun Arena, would become the cover of the video game Fight Night Round 3, on both the PlayStation 2 and XBOX versions of the game.  To top it all off, the movie The Fighter starring Mark Wahlberg as Micky Ward and Christian Bale as Dicky Eklund recounts Ward’s climb to fame.  Ward is managed by the Prince Marketing Group.

Mohegan Sun’s Signings & Sightings Presents Boxing Great Micky Ward

WHAT: Mohegan Sun is excited to announce that the pride of Lowell, Massachusetts and former Welterweight division champ, “Irish” Micky Ward is set to take part in a free Signings & Sightings event. Ward will be greeting fans and signing autographs in The Shops at Mohegan Sun at 8:00pm on Friday, April 13th.

*Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis for this signing. Due to time restrictions, only headshots will be signed; no memorabilia of any kind.
