Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge – will be continuing their “voyage” on The
Voyage Continues: Timeless Flight tour, with new U.S. dates announced for their upcoming summer 2014 schedule. The tour, which begins in Syracuse, New York on August 1st, will continue through September and heads to Mohegan Sun Arena for a Wednesday, August 6th show beginning at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $39.50 and go on sale Friday, May 9th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, May 10th subject to availability.
The upcoming dates follow their recent sold-out U.S. tour in March and their highly successful second band cruise in early April — The Moodies Cruise — which returned to the Isle of Wight with alums Roger Daltrey of The Who, Carl Palmer of ELP, Lighthouse and Shawn Phillips; The Zombies, The Orchestra starring ELO, Starship, Little River Band and more. The summer tour will also tie in with the recent issue of their 17 and 4-CD box sets Timeless Flight, on Universal Music Enterprises.
The band will be going on five decades strong as of May 5, 2014. Says The Dallas Morning News: The band showed in its performance why it has endured almost half a century…the harmonies between John Lodge and the band front man Justin Hayward created soaring drama punctuated by the interplay between smoke and light ray. Adds, The St. Louis Post Dispatch: “It all came down to the melodies, which ranged from gorgeously seductive to simply catchy and punchy…the Moodies depend on nostalgic memories of their fans’ youth, but they also know that in the present, these songs can still move the listener.” The Toronto Sun says: “One of the biggest strengths the band has is knowing what they do and doing it extremely well.”

Get ready for an audio-visual extravaganza courtesy of The Australian Pink Floyd Show. Fans can expect a million dollar light show, multiple inflatables and stunning laser effects, all coupled with note perfect renditions of Pink Floyd’s biggest hits. This show already seen by 4 million people is simply the best. Mohegan Sun Arena welcomes the memorable show on Saturday, October 18th for an 8:00pm concert.

Taking its tour title from “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun” from the A Saucerful Of Secrets album, The Australian Pink Floyd Show will be performing Pink Floyd classics such as “Another Brick In The Wall”, “Comfortably Numb” and “Wish You Were Here”, as well as a few surprise tracks.
This tour is unique in that audiences are able to vote for the songs that they would like to hear live by visiting the band’s website and taking part in the online poll. The top songs will then be played each day.
Lorelei McBroom will be appearing on this tour. Lorelei’s credentials are staggering; she toured with Pink Floyd on the “Momentary Lapse of Reason” and “Delicate Sound of Thunder” tours, appeared in the videos for “The Dogs of War,” “On The Turning Away” and the “Pink Floyd Live In Venice” TV broadcast. She also performed “The Great Gig in the Sky” with Pink Floyd, a song she will now perform with TAPFS.

Thriller writer John Saul celebrates Halloween with his book House Of Reckoning with a Winning Authors event on October 30th
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 1, 2009) – Mohegan Sun’s Winning Authors welcomes one of the most impressive horror novelists of our time. John Saul, author of Faces Of Fear and the upcoming House Of Reckoning will host a live discussion on Friday, October 30th in The Cabaret Theatre at 7:00pm to be followed by a book signing in The Shops at Mohegan Sun, Spring Gateway at 8:00pm.
John Saul is a remarkably prolific author who for thirty-three years straight has placed gripping horror and psychological thrillers on the New York Times National and International best-sellers list. His recent books include the best-sellers Faces of Fear, The Devil’s Labyrinth, and In The Dark Of The Night. Saul returns with another hair-raising thriller titled House Of Reckoning set to hit shelves this October. Saul is also the author and creator of The Blackstone Chronicles which is a serial novel published monthly for six months that has also been turned into an award-winning computer/video game. Over 200 million of Saul’s books are in print worldwide. John Saul’s upcoming release House Of Reckoning puts readers in the shoes of the outcast teenager Sarah Crane as she is sent to live in a foster home. A permanent limp from an injury handed to her by her biological father makes it difficult to make friends at her new school. However, an art teacher by the name of Bettina Phillips becomes fond of Sarah and realizes the young girl’s potential in art. Sarah would begin painting stirring and unveiling images in Bettina’s mansion which formerly served as Shutters Lake Prison. Before too much of Shutters dark history is uncovered though, things start to turn terribly awry for Sarah and company.
