UNCASVILLE, CT (February 27, 2024) –– Stand-up comic and podcaster, Andrew Schulz is set to make his Mohegan Sun Arena debut as The Life Tour hits Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, July 27th for a 7:30pm show.
Tickets to see the New York native go on sale Friday, March 1st at 9:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Subject to availability, Fans of hilarious and unfiltered Comedy can purchase tickets at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Saturday, March 2nd.
In addition to 150,000+ fans who came out to Schulz’s most recent tour, his stand up and podcast content receives 12 million views across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok per week.
After rejecting creative notes on his recent special by the streamer, Schulz purchased the project back himself and distributed it through his own website and subsequently put it up on YouTube. 16 million views later, it is the most viewed comedy special on YouTube. In the podcast sphere, Schulz’s wildly popular show, Flagrant, is viewed by 2 million devout fans per week. He also co-hosts Brilliant Idiots with legendary radio & television personality, Charlamagne tha God.
Recent projects with Schulz as an actor include the remake of the classic streetball comedy White Men Can’t Jump, which has him sharing the screen with Jack Harlow. He also appeared in Netflix’s romantic comedy You People, toplined by Eddie Murphy, Jonah Hill and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Grand prize winner of this special music competition will receive $5,000 and a headlining show at the Wolf Den
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 25, 2023) – Local bands and musicians will have the chance to turn dreams into reality during Locals Live! Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications will host another exciting four-week competition where local talent battle for a $5,000 grand prize. The Locals Live champion will also get the opportunity to headline their own show in the award-winning Wolf Den, where acts like Thomas Rhett, LL Cool J, Barenaked Ladies, and last year’s Locals Live winner Nick Bosse based out of North Stonington, CT have graced the stage. Submissions can be made from Monday, September 25th to Wednesday, October 25th through the WCTY website.
Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications will select nine bands/musicians plus two alternates, and three acts per week will compete live every Wednesday from November 15th – December 6th (excluding November 22nd) from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. A live vote from the crowd will determine who will advance on the path to the most epic musical showdown in town, the final competition, on Wednesday, December 13th. At the finals, guest and celebrity judges will play a pivotal role in deciding the official Locals Live champion.
Admission to attend Locals Live is free, and guests can enjoy $4 Michelob Ultra and Bud Light specials. Guests may line up no sooner than three hours before the show. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. One guest can hold four spots in line, but seats will only be given to those present at the time of seating. All guests must be 21 or older to enter the Wolf Den.
For the purposes of this competition, talent is defined as musicians, bands, or singer-songwriters only. All talent must be 21 years of age or older and from CT, RI, MA or NY. Performers must adhere to all Mohegan Sun rules and sign a guidelines contract prior to performance. Talent must be able to set up by 5:00pm on date of performance for sound check. All rules subject to change/management interpretation.

is excited to announce that business development expert, Stephanie Zapata, will join its meetings & conventions sales team, led by VP of Exhibitions and Sales, John Washko. Zapata will be based in and dedicated to the Northeast market, and driving business opportunities from this key area to Mohegan Sun. Zapata was recently the National Sales Manager for New Business Development for Tarrytown House Estate in New York.
As the new Director of Business Development, a newly created role at Mohegan Sun, Zapata will lead the outbound sales effort through a combination of digital, phone, and face to face engagement.
Stephanie Zapata is a graduate of Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY and soon after became the National Sales Manager for Tarrytown House Estate in New York, where she led business development across a portfolio of 35 properties. In 2011, Zapata would go on to a National Sales Manager role with Flik Hotels & Conference Center in New York, where she oversaw all Flik conference centers and mentored sales managers on brand values, customer experience, policies and sales techniques. Her career in hotel sales and business development also took her to Denver Colorado, where she became National Sales Manager for the Hilton Denver Inverness. Zapata then returned to Tarrytown House Estate in 2017 to become the National Sales Manager, New Business Development.
Zapata, who is an iPEC Certified Coach, has also served as a Lifestyle Health Coach in the United States since 2013, helping clients create better habits and techniques that guide long term goal setting and successes. Her accolades also include 2018-2019 Starz Awards, a 2010 President’s Club Recipient award for having achieved an exceptional sales goal and a 2005 SPOTY (Sales Professional of the Year).
