Touted as ‘the comedian’s comedian” by People, Maniscalco finds himself “at the vanguard of a live comedy revolution” according to Pollstar. And the man NBC Nightly News called “comedy’s new superstar” is showing no signs of slowing down.
“There’s nothing like going to a live show and seeing it in real life,” Maniscalco says in a recent interview with Forbes, who named him as one of the Top 10 highest-grossing stand-up comedians in the world in 2019. “Is there a comedy bubble that’s going to pop soon? Yet to be seen, but as I’ve been in this business, it has gotten progressively better each year and I don’t see it slowing down.”
Not only has the star power of Maniscalco rocketed upward in the past few years thanks to shows described by Billboard as “devastatingly full force comedy,” but also due to his high energy Netflix Original special, Stay Hungry. The special, which was taped over a span of five sold-out shows at the legendary Radio City Music Hall, had Maniscalco playing for a total of 28,312 long-time fans and early believers in his unique comedic voice.
Vulture recently said of the entertainer’s journey to success, “Maniscalco, without a breakout TV or film role, built a tremendous fan base the old-fashioned way: one joke at a time, one audience at a time.” Although he may not have started his career in film, Maniscalco’s loyal fans will continue to see more acting roles from him with a performance opposite Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. The fall leg of the tour comes on the heels of an already incredible year for Maniscalco. In February he released his first book Stay Hungry, for Simon & Schuster making the national best-sellers list. He also hit the road on the Stay Hungry 2018 Tour with 50 shows in cities including Montreal, Canada, where he was dubbed “Stand Up Comedian of the Year” at Just For Laughs Festival, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Toronto, Canada, where he sold out (19,000 tickets) Toronto Air Canada Center all culminating with five sold-out shows at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.

Some of the special services and activities include Hiring Our Heroes, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, over 100 Veteran Service Organizations and workshops – all free! Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2018 will begin with an opening ceremony at 10:00am in The Shops concourse, hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH-TV. Join us as we salute to veterans and present a check to the beneficiary organizations during the National Anthem, with FDNY Bagpipers and a performance by the USO Show Troupe.

From 10:00am to 6:00pm, guests are invited to take part in the Vets Rock Expo occurring in the new Earth Expo and Convention Center. This year’s Vets Rock Expo gets underway with special services and activities for veterans and their families such as a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes that will feature 100 employers throughout the region, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, workshops including Prime Lending which will offer free mortgage consultations, free health screenings and more.

Ranking amongst top concert venues in the world with major U.S. tours, sellouts and national awards
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 11, 2017) – Mohegan Sun Arena recorded yet another successful year of A-list national tours and national awards in 2017. Two major awards were “Prime Site” and “Casino of the Year,” bringing the total to 15 national awards for the Arena over nine years. Named in Connecticut Magazine as “Best of Connecticut 2017” for large entertainment venue, Mohegan Sun Arena continues to be one of the busiest venues in the world, and surpassed 11 million guests this year as well.
“I am blessed to have so many talented people who help put our entertainment brand on the world stage – they are the reason we have a world-class venue sitting right in our backyard,” said Tom Cantone, Sr. VP of Sports and Entertainment.
Along with recognitions, 2017 brought in multiple Grammy winners, Billboard chart toppers and Top Hot 100 artists with a record of 39 sellouts, as well as two major sport franchises, CT Sun and Black Wolves Lacrosse who both made the playoffs, filling in some of 165 dates drawing some 800,000 fans.
