Free, Family-friendly Fall Event Featuring Outdoor Screenings of The Goonies and Halloween 2007
WHAT: Moonlit Movies is back on the Sun Patio and guests are invited to enjoy two fall flicks under the stars. Event doors open at 5:30pm and admission is free for all ages.

IN DETAIL: On Friday, October 3rd, guests can enjoy a double feature evening on the Sun Patio, where crisp autumn air meets cozy community vibes. Settle in for two back-to-back films starting with The Goonies at 6:00pm and Halloween (2007) at 8:30pm. Enjoy being surrounded by the glow of fall festivities like pumpkin decorating and face painting and the scent of something delicious in the air from food trucks such as Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ and Philly’s. This free event is open to all ages, with doors opening at 5:30pm. Guests are encouraged to gather their friends and family and dress in their warmest sweater or favorite costume for an autumn night to remember.
Fire pit seating is available to reserve for $25 per seat, which includes a complimentary beverage or a slice of pizza with soda or water. All seating will be reserved on a per movie basis. Additional seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, guests can feel free to bring their own chairs.

The Iconic Group joins the Sun Patio Concert Series lineup for a night of Unforgettable Music and Summer Fun
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 18, 2025) – Get ready to shake things up as legendary group, Village People, bring the ultimate Disco revival to the Sun Patio at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, July 12th, as part of the high-energy Sun Patio Concert Series launched on June 14th with crowd favorite Rock band Buckcherry. The series continues throughout Summer with more details available HERE.
The show kicks off at 7:30pm and is open to fans of all ages, making it a perfect summer night out for the whole family. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster, and the Mohegan Sun Box Office. All Sun Patio Concert Series shows are general admission and take place rain or shine! This premier outdoor event space at Mohegan Sun also features a full bar and deck for guests 21+.
The Village People are one of the most talented and well-known Disco groups of their era. Their music is part of the international songbook and their debut album, released in 1977, featured the hit singles “San Francisco (You Got Me)” and “In Hollywood (Everybody’s A Star).”
Village People at that time consisted of only Victor Willis and session singers. Eventually, a group was assembled around Willis to perform on American Bandstand. Thus began the creation of Village People.
The guys were soon an international phenomenon with release of the second album titled Macho Man, once again recorded by Victor Willis with use of session singers. Auditions were held for performers to join Victor however prior to the release of the Macho Man album and many answered the call. Village People were finally a bona fide group.
Next was the five-time platinum album Cruisin which featured the blockbuster hit “Y.M.C.A.” After that was the Go West album, and finally Live and Sleazy. Victor Willis then exited the group but not before leaving them with such smash hits as “Y.M.C.A” “Macho Man” “Go West” “In the Navy” “Magic Night” and “Milk Shake.” Village People have sold over 100 million records worldwide!

Mohegan Sun launched The Crafty Slice last summer near The Sun Patio in Casino of the Earth, and is excited to announce a second Crafty Slice location in Casino of the Sky has officially opened. Mohegan Sun will also open a vibrant tropical themed Tiki Bar Pop-Up in the Sky Tower hotel lobby, offering guests even more ways to enjoy summertime drinks and a great vibe. Additionally, Mohegan Sun’s Sun Patio offers guests a relaxing and sleek outdoor bar open Thursday through Sunday!
The new Crafty Slice eatery expands on the popular concept’s signature offerings — a variety of pizza, craft beer, and other delicious food options on the go. The second location features an expanded menu, additional seating, and exclusive summer specials. Highlighted menu options include pizza by the slice starting at $5, from cheese to vegetarian to pepperoni and combo slices with sausage, bacon and meatball. Other grab-and-go offerings include churro bites, Sabrett’s Hot Dogs and the famous Walking Taco.
Complementing this launch is the introduction of an all-new summertime Tiki Bar, located in Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower lobby. Opening on Thursday, June 26th, The Tiki Bar will play island-influenced tunes and serve exotic cocktails like the Lava Flow (Bacardí Coconut, Fruitful Strawberry, Fruitful Banana, Pineapple & Orange Juice) and The Pineapple Upside-Down Cake (Jim Beam Pineapple Whiskey, Orange Juice, Lemon Sour, Cherry Float). The wine list includes though is not limited to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir and highlighted beers include Kona Big Wave Golden Ale and Allagash. Non-Alcoholic options include the Social Mai Tai and Töst (Sparkling White, Cranberry Ginger).

Mohegan Sun’s second Crafty Slice location is now open in Casino of the Sky, located near The Cabaret Theatre. Hours are Wednesday – Thursday, 5:00pm – Midnight; Friday and Saturday late afternoon through 3:00am and on Sundays, Noon to 9:00pm.

A brand-new festival set to Feature Coastal Cuisine, Entertainment, Cultural flair, and more arrives on the Sun Patio this August
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 29, 2025) – Mohegan Sun is excited to announce another brand-new festival, Taste of the Mediterranean, slated for the revamped Sun Patio on Saturday, August 23rd! From 2:00pm – 6:00pm, guests can let the flavors of the Mediterranean transport them – no plane ticket required. From artisan charcuterie spreads to hand-filled cannoli, Taste of the Mediterranean at Mohegan Sun brings together regional favorites for a one-day celebration of coastal cuisine, entertainment, and cultural flair. Additionally, attendees can take in the sights and sounds of the Med with a live DJ and dance performances celebrating the cultural traditions of the coast.
Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased via ticketmaster.com or the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. Ticket includes event entry only. Food and beverage options will be available at the event for purchase. Taste of the Mediterranean is open to all ages.
At Taste of the Mediterranean, guests can stroll through a vibrant open-air culinary experience, where local restaurants and vendors offer authentic signature bites and $5 tapas alongside full-size options, sip craft cocktails from the Sun Patio Bar while discovering new favorites as they vote for the best bite in the People’s Choice competition, and indulge in the “Charcuterie Corner”, where they’ll be able to fill their own charcuterie cup with cured meats, cheeses, and Mediterranean accompaniments. Party on the Sun Patio returns for 14-week concert series, plus the Sun Patio Concert Series offers legendary entertainment for all ages
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 25, 2025) – The Sun Patio at Mohegan Sun is the hot spot for outdoor entertainment, with the return of Party on the Sun Patio and the Sun Patio Concert Series. With favorite tribute bands like The Journey Tribute Show and Zac N’ Fried, plus electrifying acts like Buckcherry, Lupe Fiasco and The Roots, guests are invited to enjoy their summer soundtrack – played live, under the stars.
At the ever-popular Party on the Sun Patio, guests can dance into the summer nights to top local tribute bands while sipping on refreshing drink specials and exploring the bold flavors of a rotating food truck lineup. Those looking for the best seat in the house can reserve a fire pit, complete with a complimentary bucket of beer and cocktail service for up to eight guests.
