IN DETAIL: Summer is on the horizon, and Mohegan Sun is celebrating with the 3rd Annual Summer Kick-Off on Saturday, May 24th. This all-ages event is free to attend and offers something for everyone, from flavorful bites by local food trucks like Whey Station, Rubino’s Full Scoop, Chompers and Hungry Lion, to activities like yard games and more. Guests can also get their faces painted, and spin Cyber Quest’s prize wheel for a chance to win. Southeastern CT’s own Wild Nights is ready to keep the crowd dancing into the night with the best Dance, Party, and Rock hits around. Seating by the fire pits will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
The first 50 guests to arrive at the Summer Kick-Off will receive a complimentary ticket to Six Flags (redeemable at any location), courtesy of Coca-Cola, and the first 100 guests (age 21+) to visit the Sun Patio Bar will get one complimentary Tropical Red Bull Margarita, courtesy of Red Bull. Refreshing summertime mocktails will also be available for purchase.

IN DETAIL: The Sun Tequila Tasting is back at Mohegan Sun, and this event is home base for the ultimate Cinco de Mayo experience! Guests are invited to step onto the Sun Patio and sample an impressive selection of top-shelf tequila and margarita samples, providing bold flavors and even spicier vibes. Fiesta del Norte is setting the tone with traditional Mariachi music and DJ D-Ave will keep the party going all night long. Plus, Niantic’s own La Mesa is serving up delicious bites.
Tickets to Sun Tequila Tasting are on sale now via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. A ticket purchase includes drink samples and bites from La Mesa. A portion of proceeds will benefit the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut Young Leaders. Guests must be 21+ to attend the Sun Tequila Tasting.

UNCASVILLE, CT (October 1, 2024) – This past Saturday evening, on September 28th, Mohegan Sun’s revamped outdoor Sun Patio venue played host to an all-ages event featuring a popular Taylor Swift tribute band. A crowd of more than 2,150 enjoyed the special evening of their favorite hit songs, fun activities, and food trucks by way of Philly’s, Supreme Hot Dogs and NoRA Cupcake Company.
“We made some major improvements to the outdoor space known as Sun Patio ahead of the summer and with that, Mohegan Sun successfully hosted a variety of events, including 30+ free concerts,” -said Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun. “This Taylor Swift celebration was a tremendous showcase of what we envisioned for this unique outdoor amenity, and it became the largest ticketed event yet hosted on the new Sun Patio, with more than 2,150 enjoying the special event!”
Officially billed as “Are you Ready For iT? A Musical Tribute,” a talented tribute band based in Connecticut hit the stage just after 6:00pm. Using costumes, choreography and signature elements from Taylor’s performances, the band captured the thrill of one of the most iconic acts in music today. In addition to a night filled with chart-topping renditions, the event featured group seating around fire pits, delicious bites, a photo booth and a friendship bracelet station.
“This was a truly memorable event for Mohegan Sun and our guests,” -said Kim Noto, CMO for Mohegan Sun. “The Sun Patio at Mohegan Sun has had its best season yet both in terms of visitation and in variety – and there is still more to come this year and in 2025 as well.”
Additional events coming up on the Sun Patio include the recently announced “Moonlit Movies” on Friday, October 18th, where an all-ages showing of the movie Hocus Pocus takes place at 6:00pm, and a showing of the Us (18+ recommended) begins at 8:30pm. The weekend of October 25th also brings the return of Mohegan Sun’s annual Sun BrewFest – and on Friday, October 25th, the kick-off event is Seltzer Social on the Sun Patio, featuring endless seltzer flavors, fall-inspired spirits, food from House of BBQ & Bacon and live entertainment by DJ Jay R One! IN DETAIL: On Friday, October 18th, guests can enjoy the revamped Sun Patio in a brand-new way! As the leaves turn and the air becomes crisp, Mohegan Sun is inviting guests to cozy up under the stars for a night of fall fun. The night kicks off at 6:00pm with a classic family-friendly movie, Hocus Pocus (rated PG), followed by Jordan Peele’s Us (rated R), starting at 8:30pm. Throughout the night, delicious plates from food trucks, autumn-themed cocktail specials and cozy fire pits will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to gather their friends and family and dress in their warmest sweater or favorite costume for an autumn night to remember.
Guests will be able to reserve a fire pit in advance for up to eight guests. Each reservation will include the choice of a complimentary cocktail or a pizza slice with a soda or water, seating for up to eight people, prime viewing of the movie screen and cocktail service. All seating will be reserved on a per movie basis. Additional seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

UNCASVILLE, CT (August 8, 2024) ––Entertainment at Mohegan Sun is getting a boost during select Saturdays in August and September with jam-packed live entertainment all evening inside Mohegan Sun Arena, the freshly renovated Sun Patio, and the Wolf Den. This can’t miss entertainment at Mohegan Sun is set to include Dierks Bentley, Buckcherry, Childish Gambino, Meghan Trainor and more! Doors open for concerts outside at The Sun Patio at 6:30pm before the action kicks off at 8:00pm, while shows at Mohegan Sun Arena start as early as 7:00pm. On select weekend nights starting at 10:30pm, the Wolf Den continues its late night concert series with popular bands like Wicked Peach, BRANDED and Fusion taking the stage!

Bentley’s unique 21st-century career has had a rare consistency fueled by longevity. Over the course of two decades, Bentley has achieved success with eight more albums that reached the top of the Country sales charts, resulting in 22 No. 1 songs, eight billion streams, three CMA Awards, 15 GRAMMY® nominations and membership into the Grand Ole Opry. Buckcherry| Sun Patio |8:00pm

The Sun Patio features free live entertainment every Friday through September 27th. Guests can enjoy a rotating lineup of food trucks for a quick and tasty bite, complimented by an incredible beverage and cocktail menu. The featured food trucks on August 10th are Philly’s and House of Barbecue and Bacon. Food trucks will not be serving during the concert from 8:00pm-10:00pm.
All guests must be 21+ and have a valid ID to enter the Sun Patio. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, guests are welcome to bring their own chairs! Guests are not permitted to bring coolers or outside food/beverages. Bands and food trucks subject to change.
BRANDED| Wolf Den |10:30pm
Branded Country That Rocks, has been the foremost party band for 18 years entertaining Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Vermont, and New York. Bringing new music from country, pop, hip hop and rock & roll, Branded Country That Rocks, is a family-oriented band that regularly plays fairgrounds, baseball stadiums, campgrounds, casinos, Big E, and countless other entertainment venues all over New England.
