Restaurant Week Returns to Mohegan Sun

Enjoy delectable dining specials between January 21st – 25th at select restaurants across property

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 28, 2023) – Mohegan Sun’s annual Restaurant Week is back, and guests can enjoy mouthwatering dining specials for a five-day stretch from Sunday, January 21st through Thursday, January 25th.  Restaurants including, but not limited to, BALLO Italian Restaurant, Michael Jordan’s Steak House, Todd English’s Tuscany and TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge will be getting in on the Restaurant Week action by offering can’t-miss dining specials.

Guests can enjoy Restaurant Week at BALLO Italian Restaurant with a three-course meal option for $45 per person. For the first course, guests can choose either a Caesar Salad with Parmigiano and croutons, an Arugula Salad with pine nuts, shaved Parmigiano and lemon, or Meatballs made with Pomodoro, pecorino, basil and mozzarella. The second course gives guests the option of Chicken Francese made with sautéed spinach, roasted garlic, grilled lemon and white wine, Campanella alla Vodka served with stracciatella, Salmon served with roasted Brussels, butternut squash, almonds and Calabrian honey or Eggplant Parmigiana made with mozzarella, pomodoro and basil. For the third course, enjoy a Vanilla and Chocolate Chip Cannoli.

The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House’s Restaurant Week specials include an Irish Trio consisting of house made shepherd’s pie, corned beef & cabbage, banger sausage and soda bread for $36 and Corned Beef & Cabbage Spring Rolls made with corned beef, cabbage, carrots, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing for $16. Additionally, guests can enjoy a 20 oz. Guinness for $15.

The featured specials over at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill include a $19 3-Pointer featuring a half garlic bread, half-pound wings and two spring rolls. Other specials include a 14 oz. BBQ Rubbed Prime Rib served with mashed potatoes, smoked onion jus and horseradish cream for $42 and a $6 23 oz. Bud Light Draft.

At Michael Jordan’s Steak House, guests can dig into a 42 oz. Tomahawk Steak served with steak sauce and fries for $99 or Beef Satay served with Crying Tiger Sauce for $16.

Sol Toro is getting in on the Restaurant Week action with Mix & Match Tacos where guests can choose two or three tacos for $4.50 each; taco options include Fried Cod Fish with Aji mayo and slaw, Pork Carnitas with Sol Toro salsa, cilantro and onion, Fried Chicken with Habanero tomatillo salsa, cilantro and onion, Mexicali Chicken with Guacasalsa and pico de gallo and a Bean Taco made with pinto beans, tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese and cilantro line crema. Additionally, Sol Toro will feature a Chicken Fried Rice Bowl made with Chipotle chicken, soy chili, roasted garlic and a fried egg for $22 and a Frozen Margarita Flight for $10.

Jasper White’s Summer Shack will offer a three-course meal for $55 per person. For the first course, guests can choose either a Mixed Greens Salad with House Vinaigrette, a cup of New England Clam Chowder or a cup of Spicy Bermuda Fish & Crab Chowder. For the second course, dive into either a 1 lb. Pan-Roasted Lobster served with butter, bourbon, white wine, chervil, shallots and corn on the cob, a Seafood Fra Diavola with Linguini, lobster, shrimp and squid in a spicy red sauce or Grilled Tenderloin Steak Tips served with sautéed mushrooms, garlic broccoli, mashed potatoes and peppercorn cream sauce. For the third course, guests can enjoy a house made dessert.

Sushi Koya is set to offer a special three course meal for $40 per person. For the first course, guests can choose between a Kani Salad or Seaweed Salad. Options for the second course include Dinosaur Eggs consisting of spicy tuna wrapped in avocado, a Sushi Appetizer featuring five pieces of raw fish (Chef’s choice) served with rice or Pork Gyoza. The third course features a selection of one the following: Chef’s Special Roll, Dancing Eel (spicy lobster topped with eel and avocado and kabayaki sauce), Black Samurai (spicy tuna and avocado topped with black pepper tuna, scallion, tobiko and kabayaki sauce), Mermaid (Kano, shrimp and avocado topped with seared spicy salmon, tobiko and spicy mayo), Koya Roll (shrimp tempura and cucumber topped with spicy tuna, kabayaki sauce and tobiko), Volcano Roll (spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado and tempura crunch with kabayaki sauce and spicy mayo) or Salmon Lover (spicy salmon and mango with spicy mayo sauce and crunch).

At Todd English’s Tuscany, foodies can enjoy Restaurant Week with a three-course meal for $50 per person from 5:00pm – close on Monday, January 22nd through Wednesday, January 24th. For the first course, guests can pick among an Autumn Salad consisting of Arcadia mix, double smoked bacon lardons, dried cranberries, Granny Smith apples, pecans, gorgonzola cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette or a Caesar Salad featuring Little Gem lettuce, Tuscan croutons and eggless Caesar dressing or lastly, a house made Lobster Bisque consisting of Maine lobster meat, roasted fennel and chives. For the second course, choose a house made Butternut Squash Ravioli with brown butter, sage and toasted pepitas or a 6 oz. Bone-In Pork Chop served with braised Napa cabbage and Granny Smith apples, silk potatoes and apple butter or a 4 oz. Salmon Florentine served with roasted root vegetables, parsnip puree and lemon butter. For the third course, guests can enjoy a selection of Sorbet Gelato with Chocolate Biscotti or Tiramisu with Coffee Ganache and Chocolate-Covered Espresso Beans.

Restaurant Week at Tao Asian Bistro & Lounge will take place from 5:00pm – close on Monday, January 22nd through Wednesday, January 24th with the featured special being a Pu-Pu Platter consisting of one piece of Crispy Tuna, one piece of Satay Bass, one piece of Chicken Satay, one piece of Gyoza and one Lollipop Wing for $30.

Available from 5:00pm – 8:00pm during Restaurant Week, Johnny Rockets will offer two burgers, one side and two shakes for $30.

Head over to MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill and indulge in a three-course meal for $34. Start with a Broccoli Salad appetizer of Charred Broccoli, Arugula, Pumpkin Seeds, Orange Vinaigrette, and Pomegranate Molasses. The main entrée consists of juicy, Braised Short Ribs with creamy Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli Rabe, and Mushroom Leek Sauce. SolToro is offering a three-course meal for $34. Enjoy Tuna Tostada with Tuna Tartare, Guacamole, Cabbage, Crispy Corn Tortilla, and Soy Chile Dressing for the first course. The main course features Birria Tacos with Braised Beef with Consommé and Monterey Jack Cheese inside a fresh Corn Tortilla. Beauty & Essex Restaurant to Open new Location inside Mohegan Sun

This Marks Tao Group Hospitality’s Second Partnership with Mohegan Sun and the Fourth opening of the Unique and Popular Beauty & Essex Restaurant

The renowned dining experience at Beauty & Essex will elevate what is already an incredible and wide-ranging dining lineup at Mohegan Sun and will be located in Casino of the Sky near Starbucks.

19th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest at Mohegan Sun Returns on January 26th

Fans of fine wine and food  can indulge their appetites for both during the 19th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest (SWFF) beginning Thursday, January 26th and lasting through Sunday, January 29th. Sun Wine & Food Fest is one of the largest and most popular wine festivals in the Northeast, treating guests to a vast selection of wines and no shortage of delicious food pairings. Across the four-day SWFF 2023 there are 14 total events, including the return of the Grand Tasting, Celebrity Chef Dine Around, and Vintage Cru. Sun Wine & Food Fest kicks off on Thursday, January 26th with three incredible events. First up is the TAO Japanese Whisky Dinner at 5:00pm and 6:30pm. Guests can enjoy top-shelf Japanese Whisky paired with a succulent three-course meal at TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge.

At 8:00pm, Clay Pipe Cigar Bar will feature the Ferrand Cognac & Cigar Pairing where guests can enjoy an exclusive tasting of Pierre Ferrand paired with a Macanudo cigar, and a great time!

Also taking place at 6:30pm inside Tuscany will be The Todd English Experience where Chef Todd will take on hosting duties for an evening that kicks off with a craft cocktail hour followed by a seated dinner. Chef Chad Rosenthal, Chef Mike Puma and Gotham Burger Social Club are teaming up with Beam Suntory, Inc. to provide juicy variations of scrumptious burgers that pair perfectly with top-notch whiskeys. This event will feature live entertainment and a complimentary cigar.

Beam & Burgers presented by Beam Suntory, Inc. takes place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, January 27th. Tickets are $100 in advance of the event, or $125 on the day of the event.

Grand Tasting Preview
Guests can get a sneak peek of the Grand Tasting, one of Sun Wine & Food Fest’s signature showcases. This preview is held at the Earth Expo Center, and guests can sample a variety of wine, beer, and spirits while pairing their favorites with delectable dishes from some of the region’s top restaurants. The Grand Tasting Preview offers the opportunity to experience an exclusive preview of SWFF’s largest event while also getting an early peek at celebrity chefs showing off their skills.

On Friday, January 27th from 8:00pm to 10:00pm the Grand Tasting Preview will take place. Ticket prices are $100 in advance and $125 at the door. Tickets for designated drivers cost $40.

Grand Tasting
Sun Wine & Food Fest’s main event features over 1,000 different types of wine, beer, and spirits for guests to sample inside the 125,000 square-foot Earth Expo Center! Foodies can also taste dishes from award-winning restaurants throughout the region and select bites from elite chefs. Two culinary stages will be set up for guests to take in a variety of celebrity chef demos from the likes of Michael Symon, Robert Irvine, Marc Murphy, Maneet Chauhan, Nyesha Arrington, Richard Blais, and more!

The Grand Tasting is Saturday, January 28th and has a VIP hour from 11:00am to Noon, with General Admission from Noon to 5:00pm. Tickets are $150 for regular admission and $160 on the day of the event. Designated driver tickets are available for $40.

Vintage Cru

Industry heavyweights Chefs Rocco DiSpirito and Christian Petroni will be on hand to host the Vintage Cru in the Earth Ballroom. Here, taste the “best-of-the-best” vintages from around the world and meet the winemakers and principles behind them. Wine is available for purchase with shipment directly to your home! Each guest in attendance will also receive a $50 iGourmet gift card at the conclusion of the event!

Vintage Cru is from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday, January 28th. Public on-sale tickets are $150, or $165 on the day of the event.

Exclusive Pappy Van Winkle Tasting

Clay Pipe Cigar Bar, located in Casino of the Sky, joins the SWFF fun with an exclusive Pappy Van Winkle Tasting! Taste one of the most sought-after bourbons of Pappy Van Winkle, including a tasting of 10 Year, 12 Year, 15 Year, 20 Year, and 23 Year. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an in-house Macanudo cigar that has been infused with Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year. Tickets to this event are in limited quantity so be sure to reserve your seat today!

Exclusive Pappy Van Winkle Tasting is from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, January 28th. Tickets can also be purchased during the public on-sale at $500, or $525 the day of the event.

Celebrity Chef Dine Around

The Celebrity Chef Dine Around is where SWFF fans will see some of the most talented chefs at work during Mohegan Sun’s trademark walk-around event in the Uncas Ballroom. Over 20 famous chefs including Esther Choi, Amanda Freitag, Chris Santos, and Michael Symon will each personally serve a distinctive meal paired with a wine, beer, or spirit. DJ Irie will set the vibe for what is one of the most thrilling events at Sun Wine & Food Fest every year.

Celebrity Chef Dine Around is from 8:00pm to 10:30pm on Saturday, January 28th. Tickets can also be purchased during the public on-sale at $250, or $275 the day of the event.

Bloodys & Brunch With Buddy

Join Buddy Valastro inside Mohegan Sun’s luxury lounge novelle for the Bloodys & Brunch event to finish off Sun Wine & Food Fest 2023 in style! Guests can book their tickets now for $90 or for $100 the day of the event. The famous Buddy Valastro will serve up sweet and savory options while guests sip on premium, crafted Bloody Marys.
