Longtime Mohegan Sun performer adds his name to the Walk of Fame
Mohegan Sun is pleased to announce that Tony Orlando, one of the most renowned entertainers, has be
en inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. This places Tony among an elite group of entertainers with stars in front of Mohegan Sun Arena. His induction took place Saturday, September 11th in The Shops concourse in front of a large crowd of faithful fans. Tony Orlando is the 21st star to be inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. Orlando was extremely honored and gracious as he accepted his star on the Walk of Fame and said to fans, “Mohegan Sun has been the most beautiful, finest and wonderful place to work in show business.”
Tony Orlando hit superstardom when he formed the Pop group Dawn with Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson. Their first big hit was the timeless “Tie A Yellow Ribbon (Round The Ole Oak Tree),” followed by classics like “Knock Three Times” and “Candida.” Throughout his prolific and versatile career, Tony has had five #1 hits, sold millions of records and has even starred in a Broadway show.

IN DETAIL: Prior to his performance in Mohegan Sun Arena on September 11th, Tony Orlando will be the 21st entertainer inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. Tony Orlando has entertained in all three venues at Mohegan Sun including an amazing run in The Cabaret Theatre selling over 17,500 tickets alone in his stretch of shows from 2002 through 2008. He played the Arena in September of 2007 and is excited to take the Arena stage again on Saturday, September 11th at 8:00pm. This special induction ceremony will take place in The Shops concourse at Mohegan Sun.
This award seeks to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All of the individuals inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena.

Legendary Rock band KISS adds their name to Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame
Mohegan Sun is pleased to announce that KISS, one of the
most iconic and recognized Rock bands of all time, has been inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. This places KISS among an elite group of entertainers whose stars will now lie beside theirs. Their induction took place Thursday, August 19th in The Shops concourse in front of a crowd of excited fans. KISS is the 20th star to be inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. Upon receiving their star band member, Paul Stanley, jokingly asked fans “Why aren’t you in the Arena for the show, are you waiting for us?”
KISS has been rocking out arenas for the last four decades and has become one of the most renowned Rock bands in the history of music, with popular songs like “Rock And Roll All Nite” and “Calling Dr. Love.” They have sold over 100 million albums worldwide and have continued their incredible success with the release of their latest album, Sonic Boom, just last year.

Singer/songwriter celebrates his 36th performance at Mohegan Sun by adding his star to the Walk of Fame
Mohegan Sun is pleased to announce that one of Rock music’s most prolific performers, Aaron Lewis,
has joined the elite list entertainers who have become a part of Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. His induction took place Friday, February 5th in the forecourt of the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Accepting his honor before a very large crowd of excited fans, a grinning Lewis said, “Thank you all so much for coming out here today! I really am honored to join the list of great performers on Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame”
As the co-founder and lead singer of Massachusetts-based Alternative Rock band Staind, Lewis is the innovator behind some of the most memorable songs of the past decade, including the #1 single “It’s Been a While,” which spent sixteen weeks on Billboard’s Modern Rock chart.

Rocker Aaron Lewis To Be Inducted Into Mohegan Sun Walk Of Fame On February 5th

IN DETAIL: Prior to his Arena solo acoustic show, the lead singer from Staind, Aaron Lewis, will be inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. Lewis has played over thirty shows at Mohegan Sun, a combination of solo acoustic shows and as the front man for Staind. During his solo tour last year, Lewis sold more than 8,000 tickets at Mohegan Sun. This special induction ceremony will be held outside the main entrance of the Arena, near the Mohegan Sun Box Office.
