“Can’t Stop Rockin’ Tour” takes over the Arena on July 1st

Three powerhouses of Rock are teaming up for an unforgettable night at Mohegan Sun Arena.  Styx, REO Speedwagon and .38 Special will perform live on Wednesday, July 1st at 7:00pm.

All tickets for this incredible lineup are $45.00 and go on sale Saturday, April 11th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.  Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge by Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.  Tickets may also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Sunday, April 12th subject to availability.

Styx began as an Art/Progressive Rock band in the early 70s and scored a hit single with “Lady” in 1975.  It wasn’t until after the release of their 1977 album, The Grand Illusion, that Styx became an arena headliner.  Some of the band’s biggest hits include “Come Sail Away,” “Renegade,” “Babe” and “Mr. Roboto.”

REO Speedwagon’s constant stream of chart-topping albums and hit singles distinguished the band’s output in the late 70s and early 80s.  Their most recent album, 2007’s Find Your Own Way Home, is their first CD of completely new material since 1996.

.38 Special formed in the mid 70s, becoming a household name with such hits as “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You” and “If I’d Been The One.”  The current lineup features guitarist and co-lead singer Don Barnes, rhythm guitarist and co-lead singer Donnie Van Zant, guitarist Danny Chauncey, bassist Larry Junstrom, keyboardist Bobby Capps and drummer Gary Moffatt.
