UNCASVILLE, CT – Things are heating up this summer at Mohegan Sun with the launch of Hot Summer Fun. Now entering its 17th year, the celebrations, which kick off June 23rd and run through August 31st, will feature over one million dollars in prizes, car giveaways, fireworks displays, as well as the hottest entertainment and nightlife.
Special Events
Mohegan Sun is making a bang this summer with Hot Summer Nights with their biggest rooftop events of the summer. Open to all ages, the fun kicks off at 6:00pm and includes games for kids of all ages and carnival food favorites, as well as an area for guests 21+. These special parties will be hosted on Saturday, July 26th and Saturday, August 30th. NOTE: Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Other various events will be taking place throughout the summer including Mohegan Sun’s Signature Events series. Confirmed events to date include Winning Authors with Sherrilynn Kenyon, author of Born of Fury, on Tuesday, July 1st and Brad Thor, author of Act of War, on Thursday, July 17th.
Mohegan Sun will also be home to the 2014 Connecticut Reebok Spartan Race on Saturday, June 28th. This is the first time the Spartan Race has come to Connecticut. Over 5,000 participants have already registered. Spots are still available; to sign up, visit spartanrace.com.
On The Ball Mondays
Starting June 23rd, guests can test their luck on the Skee-Ball® PowerPlay Bonusing game by simply playing their favorite slot machine. From 10:00am to 8:00pm, each time a guest earns three Status Points, they will receive a Skee-Ball® game. Winners are guaranteed to win up to $1,000 in Free Slot Play instantly. Guests must have their Momentum card properly inserted while playing any slot machine in order to be eligible.
Take Two Tuesdays
Mohegan Sun will have you seeing double every Tuesday throughout the summer. Beginning Tuesday, June 24th, Momentum card holders playing their favorite slot machines will earn double points from 6:00am to Midnight. Not a gamer? Not a problem. A number of restaurants and retailers will be offering various discounts including, but not limited to, Seasons Buffet, Todd English’s Tuscany, BALLo Italian Restaurant, The Lansdowne Irish Pub, Bluwire, Sunglasses USA and more. Ca$h Dash Wednesdays
Cure the midweek blues with Ca$h Dash Wednesdays at Mohegan Sun. Each Wednesday beginning June 25th, 10 lucky Momentum members will have the chance to walk away with their share of $50,000 weekly. Every half hour from Noon to 2:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, one lucky Momentum card holder playing their favorite slot machine will have a chance to enter the Cash Cube containing $5,000 cash! Throughout the summer, Mohegan Sun will be giving away up to $500,000 with Ca$h Dash Wednesdays!
Guests can also enjoy Wine Wednesdays. Held on the terrace of Todd English’s Tuscany each Wednesday at 5:00pm, guests can enjoy Wine Pairing Dinners, or at 7:00pm, Tasting & Tapas for just $20.00. Plus, every Wednesday, Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain will be offering special discounts on certain wines.
Free Ride Thursdays
What’s better than a car giveaway? How about 10! Throughout Hot Summer Fun, Mohegan Sun is giving away a car each Thursday beginning June 26th. Each week, one lucky Momentum member playing their favorite table or slot machine from Noon to 8:00pm will randomly be selected to receive a new Fiat 500C valued at $25,000! In addition, guests playing at the same slot machine bank or table will receive a $50.00 Mobil Gas Gift Card.
On Thursday nights, things heat up with the return of GLO. Dance the night away underneath the stars to the hottest DJs, enjoy the outdoor poker tables, warm up by the fire pit or rent out one of the VIP cabanas complete with bottle service. Festive Fridays
Each Friday morning throughout Hot Summer Fun, Mohegan Sun will also be giving away free t-shirts for the first 3,000 Momentum members. Shirts will be distributed at the Summer and Riverview Coat Checks starting at 9:00am. A different color shirt will be given each week. Collect all 10 during Hot Summer Fun! Then start the weekend early with the Party on the Rooftop. This 21 and over event allows guests to live music and food trucks. Sultry Saturdays
Add a little spice to your life with Sultry Saturdays starting June 28th at Mohegan Sun, where the premier party spots in the region are all under one roof. Dance under the stars at GLO – the only nighttime pool party in New England, enjoy a drink under the world’s largest indoor planetarium dome at VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock or party the night away at MIST, a steamy, contemporary venue that sits beneath the water wall in Casino of the Wind.
Livin’ Large Sundays
Starting Sunday, June 29th, you could Win For Life® at Mohegan Sun! Each Sunday at 9:00am, Mohegan Sun will be giving away CT Lottery $3.00 Win for Life® scratch tickets for the first 2,000 Momentum members who stop by the Summer Coat Check. Take a chance at winning $5,000 a month for life!

The Wolf Den, which is open seven days a week, free and for guests 21 and over, will see such acts as Ambrosia with John Ford Coley, Austin Webb, Hoobastank, Warrant, The Bacon Brothers, among others.
