Bellator MMA Welterweight World Champion Douglas “ThePhenom” Lima (26-5), one of the most talented and well-rounded 170-pound fighters on the planet today, puts his title on the line against Russian knockout artist Andrey “Spartan” Koreshkov (17-1) on Friday, July 16th, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
Tickets are $195.00, $95.00, $70.00, $45.00 and $25.00 and go on sale Friday, April 24th through Ticketmaster at 10:00am. “Douglas Lima is an incredible champion who is in for one of the toughest fights of his life against Koreshkov,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “When the rest of this card is announced, we’ll have put together one of the greatest showcases of welterweight talent ever assembled on one night.”
The two elite combatants headline the newly announced “Bellator MMA: Lima vs. Koreshkov” event, which airs live and free on Spike at 9:00pm.

The 27-year-old Lima is a Brazilian-born athlete who now makes his home in Atlanta. Fighting under the Bellator MMA banner since 2011, Lima is an impressive 8-1 in the promotion and an incredible 14-1 in his past 15 overall appearances. Lima earned his way to the Bellator MMA Welterweight World Title with an eight-man tournament victory that included knockout wins over Ben Saunders, Bryan Baker and Michail Tsarev. Lima then claimed the title with an April 2014 knockout win over Rick Hawn. Overall, Lima boasts five consecutive knockout victories and now looks to defend his belt for the first time.
Koreshkov is also fresh off an eight-man tournament win, claiming a decision victory over Adam McDonough after previously registering knockouts of Justin Baesman and Nah-Shon Burrell. The 24-year-old Koreshkov is a Russian national medalist in both pankration and hand-to-hand combat and has lost just once in 18 professional MMA appearances. He owns 10 wins by knockouts and three by submission and also owns a 2012 victory over former Bellator MMA Welterweight World Champion Lyman Good.
Expect fireworks when Lima and Koreshkov collide.

Additional Tesla Model S charging stations to become available summer 2015
UNCASVILLE, CT (April 22, 2015) – Starting summer 2015, guests will be able to charge their Tesla Model S vehicle at Mohegan Sun. In addition to the six standard electric car charging stations currently operating, eight new Tesla chargers in total will be added.
Quick charging, High Power Wall Connectors will be available for use at Ascend and Soar parking areas for Mohegan Sun guests to utilize. The Model S offers 270 miles of range on a single charge, so the High Power Wall Connector, which adds 58 miles of range each hour, can easily top off the Tesla in just a few hours. Universal electric vehicle charging stations will be installed for use at the Summer Valet and Hotel Valet as well.
Mohegan Sun currently has six standard electric car chargers installed and operating on property. Two standard chargers are available for use on the third level of the Indian Summer Garage. The Hotel valet is equipped with one standard electric car charger and one High Power Tesla charger. Both the Sky Valet and Summer Valet feature the same High Power Tesla charging unit.

Uncasville, CT (April 21, 2015) – Get fired up for some finger-lickin’ fun during Sun BBQFest. On June 13th & 14th, savor the flavors of the best barbeque around with festivities featuring live music, a beer trailer, barbeque battles, local vendors, food trucks and so much more you can sink your teeth into!

UNCASVILLE, CT – Mohegan Sun – encompassing their flagship property in Connecticut and Mohegan Sun Pocono in Pennsylvania – was recently named one of “America’s Best Employers, 2015” by Forbes. The company was also named 12th nationwide under the Travel & Leisure category – joining iconic brands such as Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and Marriott International – and was the second highest performing gaming company within the category.
Mohegan Sun, which owns and operates the two facilities noted above, also manages Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. Combined, the three properties employ over 10,000 workers.

The results for this ranking were compiled from an independent survey conducted by Statista of American employees, one of the leading statistics companies on the Internet.
In addition to the Forbes announcement, Mohegan Sun was also honored on April 15th for the 2015 Steps to Success Award by Disabilities Matters for their partnership with Community Enterprise. Back in 2011, the two companies formed the Industry Specific Training and Placement Program – a ten week program including classroom and on-the-job training. Upon completion, participants could be hired for open positions within the company. To date, over 120 people have completed the program with a success rate of over 80%.
