The 36th Annual Connecticut Cancer Foundation Celebrity Dinner & Auction will take place inside the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun at 5:30pm on February 16th. Beginning at 3:00pm on the afternoon of this star-studded fundraising affair, the one-and-only Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo will bring a live broadcast of his SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio Show to Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den venue. Russo will also MC the celebrity dinner and auction which has tickets and sponsorship opportunities currently on sale through February 8th. These annual celebrity dinners feature delicious food, unique auction items and an exciting fundraising appeal through a lively Q&A with the special guests.
This celebrated event, founded by the late John Ellis who was a professional catcher for New York, Cleveland and Texas and was born in New London, CT, has raised millions since its inception in 1987. The tradition continues on Friday, February 16th for another incredible event set to feature special guests that include 7x Cy Young Award Winner & 11x All-Star, Roger Clemens; 5x All-Star & 4x Champion, Bernie Williams; 8x All-Star & 3x Champion, Darryl Strawberry and All-Star pitcher, Champion, and current sports commentator in NY — Ron Darling. Each of these remarkable athletes will also spend some time with Mad Dog Sports Radio as hosts Chris Russo and Steve Torre broadcast live from the Wolf Den. Mohegan Sun President, Jeff Hamilton, will also stop by to update guests on other exciting events and openings coming soon to Mohegan Sun.
Seating for the live broadcast of SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio will be on a first-come first-served basis on the afternoon of Friday, February 16th.
