The Love Tour comes to Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, October 21st and Saturday, October 23rd
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 14, 2021) – Grammy Award®-winning global superstar
Harry Styles is back on stage this Fall as he announces his updated set of US tour dates today. For the first time, the multi-platinum singer will perform all the hits from his double platinum album FINE LINE in front of fans from around the country. The tour heads to Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on Thursday, October 21st, in addition to an already sold-out October 23rd performance. This new date has been added by overwhelming demand, and tickets go on sale on Friday, July 23rd.
Love On Tour was set to begin next month but due to COVID-19 restrictions varying by state, all dates have been rescheduled for later this year. The tour will now kick off on September 4th in Las Vegas with Special Guest Jenny Lewis, who will be opening at the Mohegan Sun Arena concerts too.
Tickets to the October 21st Harry Styles performance at Mohegan Sun Arena are $236.25, $186.25 and $86.25 and go on sale Friday, July 23rd at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com.

Temporary Retail Sportsbook to Open in September at Mohegan Sun with Signature Lounge Set for This Winter

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) announced plans to bring America’s #1 Sportsbook to the state of Connecticut pending all licensing and regulatory approvals. FanDuel Group will partner with Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment to bring retail and online sports betting as well as iGaming and daily fantasy sports to MGE’s flagship property, Mohegan Sun, in Uncasville, Connecticut.

expanded shuttle service for guests traveling to New London, Connecticut by AMTRAK, Cross Sound Ferry and Shore Line East / CTrail. Passengers who are looking to visit Mohegan Sun simply have to show their qualifying ticket to the Mohegan Sun shuttle driver for access. This Mohegan Sun Shuttle serves the Transportation Center in New London, CT, which is roughly 20 minutes from Mohegan Sun. The shuttle will run on a two-hour loop, starting at 8:40am out of New London.

Mohegan Sun Arena’s first public concert since winter 2020 is also scheduled, when Soft-Rock duo, Air Supply, plays on Sunday, July 18th. More exciting upcoming concerts planned in Mohegan Sun Arena include Lady A on July 29th, Dustin Lynch on August 5th, Straight No Chaser on August 8th, Deftones on August 21st, Tom Segura on August 27th, Toby Keith on September 3rd and back-to-back Sebastian Maniscalco dates on October 1st and 2nd. A Hall of Fame Tip-Off NCAA Tournament is also being planned at Mohegan Sun Arena for the start of College Basketball later this year. North Carolina, Villanova, Purdue and Tennessee are expected headliners.

Former UConn Women’s Basketball Star and Current Assistant Coach of the USA Women’s Olympic Basketball Team to Lead Mohegan Tribe owned WNBA Franchise
Mohegan Sun is excited to announce today that Jennifer Rizzotti has been 
named President of the Connecticut Sun (CT Sun). In this role, Rizzotti will be responsible for the overall business operations and marketing strategies of the Mohegan Tribe owned WNBA franchise that plays its home games in Mohegan Sun Arena.
“I am so honored to rejoin the WNBA family in this leadership position with the Connecticut Sun,” said Rizzotti. “This league employs the very best women’s basketball players in the world. But more importantly, the WNBA is an inclusive and diverse community of women that inspire, lead and in their own words, “provide a voice for the voiceless.” I am proud to have won two championships as a player in the WNBA and will work tirelessly to help bring a championship to the Sun franchise.”

Jennifer Rizzotti had a storied career for the UConn Huskies from 1992 – 1996, where she helped lead a 1995 team to a 35-0 season that ended in a Division 1 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship. She finished her college career with 637 assists and nearly 350 steals, while averaging just over 11 points per game. After playing eight seasons of professional basketball following college, which included two championship seasons with the Houston Comets (1999 & 2000), Rizzotti embarked on a coaching career that led her to the University of Hartford (UHart) where she spent 17 seasons. During her tenure with UHart, Rizzotti became America East Conference “Coach of the Year” in 2006, 2007 and 2010. Rizzotti has also been an integral part of USA Women’s Basketball, and she currently serves as an Assistant Coach for both the Women’s USA Olympic team and the USA AmeriCup Team. In 2011, she was named USA Basketball “Coach of the Year.”

Rizzotti was also head coach of the George Washington Women’s basketball team for five years, that began with a 20-10 season in 2016-17 and a share of the A-10 regular season title. A trip to the NCAA Tournament would come in 2018 as well, after coaching George Washington to an A-10 Tournament title. Rizzotti was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013, joining fellow UConn legends, Coach Geno Auriemma (2006 inductee) and Rebecca Lobo (a 2010 inductee).

The Connecticut Sun recently announced their schedule for the upcoming 2021 season, which starts on the road against the Atlanta Dream on Friday, May 14th. 2021 marks a historic year for MAO as the nationally recognized nonprofit celebrates its 100th anniversary this fall. The milestone competition will continue to highlight a diverse group of young students and professionals who are advancing the message of female strength, independence, and empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact. MAO looks forward to returning to the big stage and providing a national platform for each talented candidate to share their voice with viewers around the country.

In addition to the epic one-night finale, other exciting events and preliminary competitions will take place in Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center, which includes the 125,000 square foot Earth Expo center. To commemorate the organization’s centennial anniversary in September, MAO and Mohegan Sun hope to host iconic celebrations and community events, as well as bring back the beloved “Show Us Your Shoes” parade, in its new home state of Connecticut this year.
Leading up to the nationally broadcast event in Mohegan Sun Arena, the Mohegan Sun leadership team and MAO will lean heavily on guidance from the Mohegan Tribal Health Department as well as local and state COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
