Singer set for a Friday, October 17th concert at Mohegan Sun Arena; Christina Perri and MKTO join

Multi-talented, platinum-selling recording artist Demi Lovato announced yesterday the North American dates for her all-new World Tour that kicks off on September 6th and make its way to Mohegan Sun Arena on October 17th for a 7:30pm show. Produced and promoted by Live Nation and sponsored by the Tampax and Always Radiant Collection, the tour will make stops in 25 cities across the United States and Canada with additional cities to be announced soon. Christina Perri and MKTO will join Demi’s World Tour as special guests. Tickets go on sale starting Friday, June 6th through the Live Nation mobile app and at www.livenation.com.

Uncasville, CT – The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority is pleased to welcome Thomas P. Burke as President of Mohegan Gaming Advisors (MGA). In this role, Burke will be responsible for overseeing all management contracts, seeking various business opportunities and supporting the planning efforts relative to future operations being developed for MGA.

Burke has over 35 years of experience within the gaming industry. He started his career at Resorts International Casino Hotel, before taking on multiple promotions and opportunities with such organizations as Tropicana, Trump and Majestic Star, among others. In 1996, Burke was named General Manager of Ameristar Casinos where he managed their Kansas City property.
Most recently, Burke served as Senior Vice President of Regional Operations for Penn National Gaming where he oversaw operations for eight properties in Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Kansas.

For the first time ever, the Wolf Den has won for “Casino of the Year” for small capacity venue. Mohegan Sun Arena has also won “Casino of the Year” for medium capacity venues. Industry Awards are presented at the annual ACM Honors event to be held in Nashville on September 9th, 2014 and aired on CBS. The Industry Awards are a part of the 49th Annual ACM Awards and are recognized in the annual program book handed out during the award show in Las Vegas on April 6th.

MOHEGAN SUN TO BE THE PRESENTING SPONSOR AND VENUE HOST FOR THE FIRST SPARTAN RACE HELD IN CT ON JUNE 28TH
UNCASVILLE, CT (MARCH 07, 2014) – Mohegan Sun announced today it will be the presenting sponsor and venue host for the Connecticut Reebok Spartan Race on June 28, 2014. This will be the first event for Spartan Race, the world’s leading global obstacle race series, held in Connecticut and pairs one of the fastest growing lifestyle sports with a world leader in entertainment and gaming.
The Connecticut Spartan Sprint presented by Mohegan Sun will stretch 3+ miles through the breathtaking Connecticut woodlands, combined with 15+ obstacles that include a spear throw, barbed wire crawls, rope climbs, and fire jump. The Mohegan Sun landscape offers everything from single-track trails to running along the scenic Thames River. Those who fail to complete an obstacle are required to perform 30 burpees, Spartan Race’s signature exercise.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced 15 new tour dates in the US starting
with April 8th in Cincinnati, OH and will close out the tour with back-to-back concerts at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th. Both shows begin at 7:30pm. The dates come on the heels of concerts in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
