Oakland Soul, R&B, Funk and Jazz greats to perform and be placed alongside Wolf Den’s best with special ceremony
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 16, 2015) – Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the next Wolf Den Hall of Fame inductee will be none other than the legendary Tower Of Power. The Oakland, CA band will be live in concert on Saturday, April 18th at Mohegan Sun. The longtime Wolf Den performers will kick off at 8:00pm and early into the show, Senior VP of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, along with Mohegan Tribal Chairman, Kevin Brown, will take the stage to present Tower of Power with their well-deserved Wolf Den Hall of Fame honor.
About Tower of Power:
Tower of Power’s musical odyssey began in 1968 when tenor saxophonist/vocalist Emilio Castillo met baritone sax player Stephen “Doc” Kupka in July of that year. Originally named The Motown’s, the guys paid homage to the R&B sound that influenced them while adding their own personal twist. In 1970, the now renamed Tower of Power landed its first record deal with Bill Graham’s San Francisco Records. Superstar siblings plan all-new tour due to fan demand; Mohegan Sun Arena welcomes the dance pair back for two shows on July 12th
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 2, 2015) — On the heels of their sold out 2014 tour, superstar siblings Julianne and Derek Hough will team up once again, dancing their way across stages all over the country, in their new MOVE LIVE ON TOUR 2015. The pair stopped by Good Morning America to announce MOVE LIVE ON TOUR 2015 which will kick off on June 12th in Phoenix, AZ and hit over 40 cities including stops at the famed Radio City Music Hall in NYC, Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT for two shows on Sunday, July 12th, set for 3:00pm and 8:00pm.

The Houghs are promising MOVE LIVE ON TOUR 2015 will be bigger and better than ever. “We had such a fun and high energy show last year. It was amazing to see such a great reaction from our fans the first time, and we can’t wait til they see what we have up our sleeves now! Our goal then, and our goal now is to have it feel like a Rock concert for dance and I think we have and certainly will accomplish that again,” said Julianne Hough.

JULIANNE HOUGH is known to audiences around the world for her success in film, television and music. She was a two-time professional champion on ABC’s top-rated Dancing with the Stars, before making a seamless transition to award-winning recording artist and her feature film debut in Burlesque. She starred in the update of Footloose and the all-star film adaptation of the musical, Rock of Ages.
