Brian Scalabrine will host a viewing party for the Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets game taking place on Wednesday, November 28th
WHAT: Hoops season is underway and on Wednesday, November 28th, Celtics fan favorite and current Celtics Analyst Brian Scalabrine will be on-hand to host a viewing party at Bow & Arrow Sports Bar on November 28th as the Boston Celtics take on the Brooklyn Nets in an Eastern Conference show down. The event starts at 8:00pm and tip-off of the game is at 7:30pm. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to meet, mingle and grab an autograph from Brian, as well as enter to win tickets to an upcoming Boston Celtics game!

ABOUT BRIAN SCALABRINE:
Brian Scalabrine is a former professional basketball player who played the power forward position and whose career spanned 11 years. His longest tour with one team was with the Boston Celtics from 2005 – 2010 where he was beloved by fans with hard play and defensive abilities. Scalabrine also played for the New Jersey Nets and ended his long career with the Chicago Bulls. A standout with the USC Trojan’s men’s basketball team before being drafted in the NBA, he led the team in scoring and rebounds. Scalabrine is now a Celtics analyst on Comcast SportsNet.

On November 29th, celebrate the return of holiday décor inside our own winter wonderland
Dust off your holiday cheer and join Mohegan Sun in saying “season’s greetings” to the holidays! On Thursday, November 29th at The Shops at Mohegan Sun, come celebrate the return of Mohegan Sun’s World of Holiday Marvels as the property turns into a winter wonderland this November and December. Don’t miss out on our four-foot tall ornaments, “ice” creatures, Christmas trees and our newest “marvel,” a tree scene in the Hotel Lobby!
Starting at 6:00pm on Thursday, November 29th, holiday cookies, hot cocoa and hot cider will be available at the Gingerbread House located in the center of The Shops concourse. Bring the family and walk through this life-size, 28-foot masterpiece that includes a fireplace and 7-foot soldiers at each doorway. After, enjoy as Nutcracker ballerinas put on a performance for the crowd!
Then, at 7:00pm, watch on screens throughout The Shops concourse as the outdoor tree gets lit up for the first time this season!
During the night, let our labeled maps, available in The Shops concourse, take you on a self-guided tour of all of Mohegan Sun’s World of Holiday Marvels.
Throughout the month of November, Mohegan Sun will serve as a drop-off location for the “One Warm Coat” coat drive. Clean out your closets and drop off any unused coats at the Summer Coat Check throughout the month.

Mohegan Sun announced that The Smashing Pumpkins have rescheduled their Mohegan Sun Arena show on Sunday, November 4th at 7:00pm to Sunday, December 2nd at 7:00pm.
The new rescheduled date is set for Sunday, December 2nd. Tickets for the Sunday, November 4th Mohegan Sun date will be honored at the rescheduled date. In the event you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, refunds can be made at point of purchase.

Mohegan Sun regrets to announce that Green Day has postponed their Mohegan Sun Arena show on Saturday, January 19th at 8:00pm and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The Saturday, January 19th performance at Mohegan Sun Arena is POSTPONED. A new rescheduled date is to be announced. Tickets for the Saturday, January 19th Mohegan Sun date will be honored at the rescheduled date. Refunds can be made at point of purchase.
Green Day also announced they would move up the release date of Green Day ¡Tré! to December 11, 2012 from its original date of January 15, 2013.
“We feel bad we have to delay our tour, so to make up for it we want to give our fans the music earlier than we had planned,” said Tré Cool. “If we couldn’t be there to play it for you live, the least we could do was give you the next best thing.”

Bowzer will return to Mohegan Sun to spin a great collection of hits from the 50s and 60s during his latest installment of Bowzer’s Ultimate Doo-Wop Party Volume XII in the Arena on Sunday, January 20th at 3:00pm.

2013 North American Tour comes to Arena on February 22nd
Following the release of their best-selling new album, Overexposed, Grammy-winning recording artists Maroon 5 have announced details of their 2013 North American tour presented by Sony Xperia™ Smartphones. Maroon 5 will be joined by Neon Trees and Owl City as they take the Mohegan Sun Arena stage on Friday, February 22nd at 8:00pm.

This past summer marked the debut of Maroon 5’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album, Overexposed. Recorded in Los Angeles, CA, the release is a rich, Pop-infused collection that Rolling Stone referred to as “their best yet” and People Magazine called “sweet Soul kissed Pop.” The release of the album quickly reinforced the group’s status as a powerhouse in popular music. Overexposed features a series of chart-topping singles including “Payphone” which immediately shot straight to #1 on both the Top 40 and Hot Adult Contemporary charts and “One More Night” which has been at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for five straight weeks. The third single off of the album “Daylight” is scheduled to impact radio this November. Maroon 5 will debut the song on The Voice on November 8th.
