The Heart & Soul 2011 North American Tour stops in Uncasville on March 27th
Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks have joined forces for one of the most anticipated musical events of the year, The Heart & Soul Tour. The tour will feature both artists performing all Rock & Roll sets from their incomparable catalogs of hits, backed by an incredible band of musicians and stage production. The tour will be stopping at Mohegan Sun Arena for one night only on Sunday, March 27th at 7:30pm.

Singer returns to the Arena on March 16th. Tickets go on sale Friday
Janet Jackson has announced that her “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal World Tour” will be stopping at Mohegan Sun Arena on Wednesday, March 16th at 7:30pm.

Jackson said she will also recognize twenty young people whose lives and work “have enriched their communities in a major way.” Fans can submit individuals to be recognized through Jackson’s website. IN DETAIL: Just days prior to the 10th anniversary of Bowzer’s Ultimate Doo-Wop Party in Mohegan Sun Arena, star of the hit show and band of the same name Sha Na Na, as well as lead singer/co-founder of Bowzer & The Stingrays, Jon “Bowzer” Bauman will be inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. Bowzer has hosted an incredible twenty-two shows at Mohegan Sun since the Arena opened its doors in 2001. This special induction ceremony will be held outside the main entrance of the Arena, near the Mohegan Sun Box Office.
The award seeks to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All of the individuals inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena. Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den, the 400-seat venue which has offered free nightly entertainment for guests 21 and over since its opening in 1996 and has helped catapult the careers of some of the biggest names in music including Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Zac Brown Band, has announced the creation and first inductees of The Wolf Den Hall Of Fame. This exclusive club recognizes a distinct class of performers who have made a significant contribution to the continued success of Mohegan Sun.
The first induction class includes Little Anthony & The Imperials (performing in the Wolf Den on January 8th), John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band (performing in the Wolf Den on February 5th), Jay Black (performing in the Wolf Den on March 11th), Eddie Money (performing in the Wolf Den on April 30th) and America (performing in the Wolf Den on May 28th).
As some of our most celebrated performers, these artists have shown loyalty to fans at Mohegan Sun and have helped shape the Wolf Den into the successful venue it is today. Elton John and his band will appear in concert at Mohegan Sun Arena performing their “Greatest Hits Live” concert, featuring number one chart hits and classic album tracks from throughout Elton’s incredible five-decade career.
Public on-sale will begin Friday, January 7th at 10:00am.
Elton John’s band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums and Kim Bullard on keyboards. Jenny Tseng will be celebrating the Year of the Rabbit in Mohegan Sun Arena. The show will have two performances on Sunday, February 6th; the first at 2:00am and the second at 2:00pm.

Jenny Tseng, commonly known in Cantonese speaking regions as “Yan Nei,” is a Macau-born singer who has been based in Hong Kong for much of her performing career. With her outstanding singing talent, Jenny first achieved mainstream success throughout the Chinese region during the early 1970s. Her powerful voice has made her a memorable diva with a career that spans over three decades. Her repertoire includes both Cantonese and Mandarin songs. She was awarded “Most Popular Artist Award” in 1984 at the Jade Solid Gold Ceremony, the first singer to receive this honorable award. In addition to singing, Tseng is a successful entrepreneur and has also acted in several films during the 1970s and 1980s.
In recent years, Tseng has performed all over the world and embarked on her Farewell World Tour in the fall of 2009, making the end of her performing career and saying goodbye to fans all over the world.
