UNCASVILLE, CT – February 9, 2022 – The first legal sports bet ever placed in Connecticut occurred at Mohegan Sun on September 29, 2021 at the Bow & Arrow Sports Bar. Now, just across from this area, the permanent Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook is slated to have a soft-opening tomorrow (February 10th) at 9:00am, just ahead of football’s biggest Sunday. The new Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook, located in the old Race Book, stretches 11,000 square feet, and is home to a 140-foot video wall, 30+ additional hi-res flat screens, a mezzanine level, a full bar, and more. Fans heading to Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook for the big game on Sunday, February 13th (kick-off at 6:30pm ET) can take advantage of a free bet of up to $50, as well as a Big Game Buffet for $29.95.
Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook will feature multiple live teller windows, as well as 39 easy-to-use betting kiosks. One of those betting kiosks will be located on the all-new mezzanine level that has 22 luxury seats. In total, this new sportsbook offers up 222 total seats and a full bar that is centrally located. The showstopper is the 140’x14’ hi-definition video wall, where incredible viewing experiences are possible, especially thanks to the uniquely high ceilings in this venue. “The King’s Jester” will be Minhaj’s first show in Uncasville on April 9th
Comedian Hasan Minhaj will make his Mohegan Sun Arena debut this spring as part of his brand-new one-man show, “The King’s Jester.” Minhaj returns to his storytelling roots four years after the global success of his Netflix comedy special, Homecoming King, which garnered rave reviews. Minhaj takes the stage at 7:30pm on Saturday, April 9th at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Critically acclaimed tour stops at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 15th
As part of his “My Songs” world tour, seventeen-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sting returns to Mohegan Sun Arena at 8:00pm on Sunday, May 15th at Mohegan Sun Arena. Sting will be accompanied by an electric, Rock ensemble, along with special guest Joe Sumner.

Brown stops at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, June 4th
Today award-winning entertainer Kane Brown announced additional tour dates for his nationwide Blessed & Free Tour, kicking off with his first-ever stadium show in his hometown of Chattanooga, TN. Special guests Walker Hayes and Raelynn will join Brown at 7:00pm on Saturday, June 4th at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The news was announced this morning ahead of the Kane Brown Live from the El Rey Theatre, Brown’s global livestream concert with Amazon Music. Fans can tune in tonight at 10:00pm on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, on Prime Video and within the Amazon Music mobile app via Twitch, using the Amazon Music livestreaming functionality. The show will also be available to watch for a limited time on Prime Video following the livestream.
The initial run of the Blessed & Free Headlining Arena Tour included all NBA basketball arenas, making the “breakthrough entertainer” (AP) the first Country artist to headline every NBA basketball arena in a single tour.
Noted as the “future of Country” (Billboard) and one of “31 People Changing the South” (Time), the chart-topping entertainer first broke through the Country charts with his No. 1 self-titled debut. The album spent a record-breaking 13 weeks at the top of the chart and made Brown the first artist in Billboard history to top all five Billboard Country charts simultaneously. Special guests Trivium and In Flames join the co-headliners at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 13th
Following the enormous success of their 2021 co-headline U.S. tour, Metal titans Megadeth and Lamb of God have announced the second U.S. run of their aptly named “Metal Tour of the Year.” Joining them will be special guests Trivium and In Flames. The Metal Tour of the Year makes a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:00pm on Friday, May 13th.

The first leg of the Metal Tour of the Year was one of the first national amphitheater tours to hit the road in summer 2021, and co-headliners Megadeth and Lamb of God hit 29 cities across North America.
“The Metal Tour of the Year is exactly what it sounds like – a night of some of the best Heavy Metal bands in the world – live and loud. Mustaine founded Megadeth more than 30 years ago and pioneered the sound that would become known the world over as Thrash Metal in the process. Megadeth have taken their place as one of metal’s most influential and respected acts – not to mention among its most successful. They have gone on to sell more than 38 million albums worldwide, earning numerous accolades, including a 2017 Grammy Award for “Best Metal Performance” for the title track “Dystopia,” 12 Grammy nominations, and scoring five consecutive Platinum albums. Megadeth are slated to release their 16th studio album, “The Sick, The Dying … And The Dead,” this spring.
Lamb of God propelled Heavy Metal into the new millennium two decades ago with the prophetically titled New American Gospel. They followed with 2003’s As the Palaces Burn, which made the Rolling Stone list of the “Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.” Ashes of the Wake, released in 2004, was the first Lamb of God album to be certified gold by the RIAA, as was 2006’s Sacrament, which also made a Top 10 Billboard 200 Chart debut. In 2009, Lamb of God released Wrath, their first with Josh Wilbur as producer, and earned the No. 1 album spot on Billboard’s Hard Rock, Rock, and Tastemaker charts, with a No. 2 position on the Billboard 200.

Trivium’s 10th album, In The Court of the Dragon, arrived in 2021. Trivium released the now-canonical album Ascendency in 2003. It was recognized as Kerrang’s “Album of the Year,” achieved a Gold certification in the U.K., and eclipsed sales of 500,000 worldwide. Since helping create Sweden’s legendary “Gothenburg Sound” three decades ago to their current status as melodic metal monoliths, the act has constantly eschewed trends in order to forge their own musical path. Bowzer’s Rock ‘N’ Doo-Wop Party – The 20th Anniversary has announced the postponement of the Mohegan Sun Arena performance that was originally scheduled for 3:00pm on Sunday, January 16th. This decision has been made following tour safety protocols, CDC and Tribal health guidelines. The Uncasville show will now take place on Sunday, February 20th.
