At Mohegan Sun Arena on May 23rd with special guest Jesse Ahern
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 20, 2020) – This May, Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will hit the road together for the first time since 2017, for the co-headlining Boston To Berkeley II Tour with special guest Jesse Ahern supporting. On Saturday, May 23rd at Mohegan Sun Arena, Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will end the night on stage together for a joint encore. As was the case on the original From Boston To Berkeley run in 2017, the final band of the night will vary by date, with either Dropkick Murphys or Rancid as the closing act.

Rancid and Dropkick Murphys have a long and important history together. Back in 1997, Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen came across a copy of Dropkick Murphys’ original EP at a friend’s house. He turned it over to his bandmate and Hellcat Records president Tim Armstrong, who quickly snatched up the band for his new label.

Emerging from the blue-collar swamps of Berkeley, California, Rancid has now been a living, breathing Punk Rock band for over a quarter century. Back in 1991, after the demise of their much beloved first band, Operation Ivy, founding members Tim Armstrong (vocals, guitar) and Matt Freeman (bass, vocals) decided to do the impossible – start an even better band. Thus, Rancid. Signing with Epitaph Records, the band released their first album Rancid in 1993. Shortly thereafter, Lars Frederiksen (vocals, guitar) joined the band, because…well, are you going to tell him he can’t? The result, in 1994, was Let’s Go. In 1995, Rancid released the classic platinum-selling …And Out Come The Wolves. You still remember when you first heard it. They followed with the even more ambitious Life Won’t Wait in 1998, and in 2000, Rancid released another album entitled Rancid, just to see if anyone was paying attention. After Indestructible in 2003, Branden Steineckert (drums) joined to solidify Rancid’s current lineup. They subsequently released the albums Let The Dominos Fall (2009) and Honor Is All We Know (2014). And out now is another immediate classic, Trouble Maker (2017).

The Weeknd at Mohegan Sun Arena rescheduled for Sunday, July 4, 2021 has been postponed to Sunday, February 6, 2022. Tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.

UNCASVILLE, CT (February 18, 2020) – Mohegan Sun Arena regrets to announce that Ozzy Osbourne’s 2020 North American “No More Tours 2” date set for Saturday, June 20th is cancelled. The “No More Tours 2” North American dates are cancelled to allow Osbourne to continue to recover from various health issues he has faced over the past year. This decision was made to accommodate fans who’ve been holding tickets for rescheduled shows and have been asked to change plans, some multiple times. Following promotional obligations for his new Ordinary Man album (out February 21st), Osbourne will head to Europe for additional treatments.
“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a s— year,” Osbourne said. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six [to] eight weeks.”
“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”
Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. All refunds, including fees, will be returned directly to the credit card used. Additionally, ticket holders who purchased “No More Tours 2” tickets will have first access to tickets when the next tour is announced.

The groundbreaking show that pulls back the curtain on the hospitality and entertainment industries is honored with Platinum and Gold

September of 2017 at the Tribeca Film Festival, and now reaching more than 5.5 million views, the original online TV series, Back of House, has been honored with top awards from HSMAI (Gold Adrian Award) and AVA (Platinum Award).

Since 1927, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has been committed to business success for hotels and is the industry advocate for intelligent, sustainable hotel revenue growth. The Association provides hotel, travel and tourism professionals with expertise to drive sales, inspire marketing and optimize revenues. HSMAI’s annual Adrian Awards competition recognizes the best marketing in the industry. They have now honored Mohegan Sun’s Back of House digital TV series, Season 2, with the Gold Adrian Award for Digital Marketing Innovation.

Mohegan Sun has now won its first ever Platinum AVA Award for its Back of House digital TV series, Season 3.

Judges for HSMAI consider “innovation” a new idea, device or method that impacts new markets. An original idea that could disrupt an industry. Approximately 200 industry experts are invited to serve as members of the Adrian Awards judging panel.
