The Wolf Den Takes You Back
Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den will feature special acts that will take you back with two mid-day performances on select Mondays throughout September and October taking place from noon to 12:45pm and 1:15pm to 2:00pm.
Guests can join us on Labor Day, September 6th when the Bronx Wanderers will play a wide selection of Rock & Roll hits from yesterday. On September 13th and October 18th, Rick K. and the Allnighters will take their classic Rock & Roll show to the Wolf Den stage. On September 20th, The Main Street Cruisers will play their ‘’retro’’ Rock & Roll oldies. Phil Dirt & The Dozers head into town on September 27th and October 25th with a full set list of vintage Rock & Roll songs mixed with a new twist for today. The very talented band, Next Movement, will be performing their R&B, Soul and Pop in the Wolf Den on October 11th.

Hit The Slots…Tournament Style
With a minimum-guaranteed prize pool of $7,500, Mohegan Sun is adding even more excitement to Forever Young Mondays with two exclusive Slot Tournaments. On Monday, September 27th and Monday, October 25th, guests can buy in for just $10.00 for a chance to win. Registration is from 8:00am – 4:00pm across from Birches Bar & Grill in Casino of the Earth. Sessions will run every fifteen minutes starting at 9:00am.

Airfare, Las Vegas accommodations and $1,500 in cash to the grand prize winner of Mohegan Sun’s “Las Vegas Bone-nanza!”
Beginning on July 31st, handicappers can head to Mohegan Sun’s Race Book for a chance to win accommodations to The Orleans Hotel & Casino, $1,500 in cash and an entry to the Horse Player World Series Handicapping contest in Las Vegas. Greyhound and Thoroughbred race enthusiasts will have a shot each week to earn a spot into the final championship qualifier on September 11th.
Guests can earn entries in qualifying contests which will be held on July 31st, August 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th. The contests will be live money wagers on Palm Beach Kennel Club and Saratoga Race Course events with an entry fee of $40.00 per participant. The player who accrues the most money in each contest will win a cash prize and a spot into the final championship qualifier.

Player’s Club members can earn double points on their favorite slot machines on Saturday, August 7th
On August 7th, Mohegan Sun will have guests seeing double. Player’s Club members who play their favorite slot machines between 6:00am and 6:00pm will earn double Player’s Club points on any slot, any limit.
Guests will earn double points at any slot, any limit, just by having their Player’s Club card inserted into their favorite slot machines. Each point earned is equal to one dollar and can be used at Mohegan Sun’s hotel, The Shops at Mohegan Sun, restaurants, Mohegan Sun Travel, Mohegan Sun Mobil Gas Station & Convenience Store, tickets to shows and events, and the world-class Elemis Spa.

Special summertime tournament will be held from July 16th – 20th
As the weather heats up, so does the action in the Poker Room at Mohegan Sun as they get ready to kick off the second annual Summer Showdown Poker Tournament. This four-day event begins Friday, July 16th in the Convention Center and will feature various events with affordable buy-ins.
“The Summer Showdown will include various buy-ins that are tailored to all levels of players,” said Bruce Dixon, Director of Poker for Mohegan Sun. “We are coming off our largest and most successful tournament, the PokerStars.net North American Tour (NAPT) and we look to sustain that momentum.”
This year’s Summer Showdown begins with $250.00 No-Limit Hold’ Em event on Friday, July 16th, followed by, a $1,100 No-Limit Hold’ Em event on Saturday, July 17th. Various Hold’ Em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud and Bounty tournaments will also be held on July 18th and 19th.
Weekly Satellite Qualifying Tournaments for Mohegan Sun’s Summer Showdown Poker Tournament begin on Tuesday, July 6th and run throughout the month of July until the tournaments kick off on July 16th. On July 1st, multi-table poker tournament and daily cash game participants will be entered into a top player program
On July 1st, the battle to become Mohegan Sun Poker’s Player of the Year begins. The promotion, exclusive to Player’s Club members, will have tournament and cash game poker players bluffing, calling and raising their way to the top of the leader board each month.
In order to claim this top honor, players who participate in Mohegan Sun daily poker tournaments (major and special tournaments not included) will receive 1 promotional point for their participation in each tournament. The player who accumulates the most promotional points and the cash game player who accumulates the most hours from July 1st through December 31st will be awarded Mohegan Sun’s Poker Player of the Year. Players can climb the leader board monthly by placing on final tables. The following promotional points will be awarded for top ten finishes:
- 1st = 15 Points
- 2nd = 9 Points
- 3rd = 8 Points
- 4th = 7 Points
- 5th = 6 Points
- 6th = 5 Points
- 7th = 4 Points
- 8th = 3 Points
- 9th = 2 Points
- 10th = 1 Point
Mohegan Sun’s Player of the Year will receive luxurious overnight accommodations at Mohegan Sun, a complimentary seat into a poker tournament and additional prizes.
Cash players will earn hours towards the promotion, each hour will have players on their way to Player of the Year.
On the way to the top, Mohegan Sun will also award Player of the Month. Each month the player who accumulates the most promotional points in tournaments and the most hours played in cash games will be named the players of the month. The winners will each receive a $75.00 comp to one of Mohegan Sun’s restaurants. Player of the Month promotional points and hours will be accrued beginning the first of the month and ending the last day of the month.

On June 26th, Player’s Club members will have a chance to earn Double Points and Cash
June 21st marks the first day of summer and what better way to spark the season than with a chance to rake in Double Points and instant Cash. The promotions, exclusive to Player’s Club members will reward guests from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday, June 26th.
Early birds can get a jump-start on the action and take advantage of Mohegan Sun’s Double Points Player’s Club promotion from 6:00am to noon. Guests playing their favorite slot machines will double their point earnings on any slot, any limit. Player’s Club members can simply insert their card in their favorite slot machines and earn double points by playing.
The fun continues as guests who insert their card and play their favorite slot machines will have a chance to win instant Cash with the $100,000 Under The Sun Giveaway. From 1:00pm to 5:00pm, hourly drawings will award players Cash prizes equaling up to $15,000 in Cash. The action doesn’t stop there. At 6:00pm, the final drawing will have players taking home a share of $25,000 in Cash. Ten winners will be awarded each hour.
