The band will be live in Mohegan Sun Arena on August 29th
UNCASVILLE, CT (April 9, 2018) – With the spring 5 Seconds Of Summer (5SOS) tour completely sold out, the band is making good on its promise to fans for a more extensive outing, including larger venues and amphitheaters across the run. The Meet You There Tour, produced by Live Nation, will launch on August 27th in Toronto, ON and include a show at Mohegan Sun Arena on Wednesday, August 29th starting at 7:30pm. The 25-city North American headline trek will conclude on October 12th with a concert at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Each ticket purchased for the Meet You There Tour also includes a copy of the forthcoming album.
Tickets are $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50 and go on sale Friday, April 13th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. On Youngblood, 5SOS expands its musical parameters while retaining the hooks and trademark DNA that’s always been a massive part of the band’s appeal. The 6th Annual Sun BBQ Fest Returns on June 2nd & 3rd, Rain or Shine
UNCASVILLE, CT (April 6, 2018) – It’s time to get messy at Sun BBQ Fest presented by King’s Hawaiian, Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd at Mohegan Sun. Festival goers will be able to sink their teeth into barbecue-smothered favorites, full plate meals, ribs, wings and more! Live music and cooking challenges will also take place throughout the weekend for the whole family to enjoy.
Admission is $5.00 per day and now on sale through the Mohegan Sun Box Office or available at the festival door. Kids 6 and under get in free. The weekend of the event, $1.00 tickets for food and beverage will be available inside the festival.
Grills Heated Up – Wings, Ribs & More
The Winter Parking Lot will be smokin’ with the best BBQ for guests to sink their teeth into. Experience the BBQ action and decide who reigns supreme during the People’s Choice Contest all weekend long. $2.00 samples will be available from 20 participating Kansas City BBQ Society teams, and guests can cast their vote for the ultimate best at Sun BBQ Fest. On Saturday, the competition continues with a rib contest from Noon to 2:30pm, followed by a wing challenge from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. For $5.00, each contest offers a sampling of 5 wings or 5 ribs for fans to indulge and then judge. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Sun BBQ Fest official charity, Operation BBQ Relief.
BBQ Fest goers can taste their way through an endless supply of delicious meats and other flavorful options, all from some of the best restaurants and food vendors that can be found in the region. SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 1st, 2018) – Yesterday at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in San Antonio, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced a ten-year partnership extension with Connecticut-based entertainment venue Mohegan Sun. The Hall of Fame and Mohegan Sun have enjoyed an 11 year partnership and this announcement will continue the relationship for the long term.
“We are very appreciative of our partnership with Mohegan Sun and the memories we’ve been able to create together over the years,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “Our partnership with Mohegan Sun has been a game changer for the Hall of Fame and we very much appreciate Mohegan Sun’s desire to remain a big part of the Hall of Fame family for many years to come.”
The partnership will continue to include several annual college basketball events at Mohegan Sun Arena including the Tip-Off Tournament in November. Mohegan Sun will remain the exclusive sponsor of Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement weekend, hosting the Class of 2018 for the annual Hall of Fame Induction Celebration and Ring Presentation at their resort in Uncasville, Connecticut.
“In the many years of working with the Naismith Hall of Fame, Mohegan Sun has helped host annual enshrinement ceremonies, honoring some of biggest legends in the game of basketball. The partnership has also grown to routinely showcase incredible basketball games and tournaments at the highest collegiate level inside Mohegan Sun Arena,” said Ray Pineault, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun. “We’re proud to have been a part of so many of these great memories and are truly thrilled that it’s going to continue well into the future.”
In addition to their partnership extension, Mohegan Sun has made a significant contribution to the Basketball Hall of Fame’s capital campaign to support complete renovation of the museum. With the donation from Mohegan Sun, the Basketball Hall of Fame has surpassed its $30 million campaign goal; the Hall’s campaign will continue however until its scheduled end date of December 2018. In acknowledgement of Mohegan Sun’s generous gift the organization will receive prominent recognition in the newly renovated guest welcome center at the Hall known as ‘The Tip Off Pavilion.’
“Three years ago, we set out on a capital campaign to financially secure the Hall’s endowment and renovate our museum to the level of quality our Hall of Famers and fans of the game deserve,” said Jerry Colangelo, Chairman of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Board. “Through the generosity of our incredible partners like Mohegan Sun, I’m happy to say we have exceeded our goals. As a team, we won’t let up. We are going to continue forward with our fundraising until all who want to participate have that chance by year end. The capital campaign has been silently making headway over the last three years with generous backing from many in the global basketball community including Junior Bridgeman, Jerry Colangelo, Grant Hill, Mannie Jackson, Michael Jordan, Phil Knight, Nancy Lieberman, George Raveling, Adam Silver and Elaine Wynn, as well as several NBA ownership groups.
