Inside The Cabaret Theatre December 8th –10th
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 16, 2017) – In its 16th year at Mohegan Sun and its 56th year bringing Connecticut’s young audience and families to its renown Christmas classic, Albano’s Nutcracker schedules an ambitious 2017 holiday entertainment season. The Hartford-based Albano Ballet Company, in residence at Mohegan Sun as one of its holiday marvels, presents four performances in The Cabaret Theatre to live orchestra beginning Friday, December 8th.
Tickets are $38.00, $35.00 and $32.00 for adults and $32.00, $29.00 and $26.00 for children and are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to Ticketmaster.com or call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Tuesday, October 17th, subject to availability.
Schedule for Albano’s Nutcracker at The Cabaret Theatre:
Friday, December 8th at 7:00pm
Saturday, December 9th at 7:00pm
Sunday, December 10th at 1:00pm and 7:00pm
Albano’s Nutcracker touts full sets, costumes, props and more. Unlike small student recital productions, Albano’s senior company combined with its ever-growing, popular youth ballet, join forces with five of Connecticut’s leading dance academies to showcase and underscore certain Albano variations, giving young dancers from around Connecticut an opportunity and an experience of working alongside professional ballet dancers to live music.
“Serious students of the dance must work with professional performers in order to inspire as well as to expand their technical prowess. Dancing with European guest artists as well enhances our American learning curve,” Albano explains.
Miku Kawamura, prima ballerina from Japan, heads the list portraying the Sugar Plum Fairy, partnered by Eric Cranes, international premier danseur, portraying the Prince, and trained by Albano. Mr. Carnes’ biography includes performances in Italy, Croatia and Greece. Takao from Hong Kong; Yuko Suzuki from Japan; Henry Seth of the New York Ballet; Sabrina Rinaldi, soloist of Ariston Pro Ballet, Italy; Andrea Frisano dancer for the Torino Opera House, Italty; and Olga Aru formerly of the Moscow Ballet, Russia, round out this year’s featured solo performances.
Albano’s Nutcracker relives the holiday story on Christmas Eve, decorating the tree and sharing presents. Uncle Drosselmeyer presents Albano’s signature puppet, Nutcracker, to Clara. Brother Fitz, enraged with choice, breaks it which unfolds the dance drama in an exquisite Land of Snow and then into the Kingdom of Sweets. It is in the Kingdom of Sweets where ballet identifies with the magic, grace and diverse divertissements that defines its essence, especially for Americans.
Albano continues, “It is necessary to feature a full-length ballet with live orchestra; creating the interplay among the dancers and the sound. Of course, the full-scale backdrops also enhance the beauty.”

The Irresponsible Tour live on Saturday, December 30th

UNCASVILLE, CT (October 16, 2017) – Kevin Hart, one of the top comedians, entertainers, authors and businessmen in the industry today, is set to bring The Irresponsible Tour for a stand-up live performance on Saturday, December 30th at 8:00pm at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Tickets are $159.00, $129.00, $99.00 and $79.00 and go on sale Friday, October 20th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to Ticketmaster.com or call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, October 21st, subject to availability.
After an electrifying performance at amateur night in a Philadelphia comedy club, Kevin quit his shoe salesman job and began performing full time at venues such as The Boston Comedy Club, Carolines, Stand-Up NY, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. However, it was his first appearance at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival that led Kevin into roles in feature films.
2017 has already been a banner year for Hart, his memoir I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons debuted at #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list and has remained on the list for nine consecutive weeks. The book also topped records on the Audible platform, selling over 100,000 copies in the first five weeks. Earlier in the year Hart voiced a title character in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. To close 2017, Kevin will appear in the Sony reboot of the classic film Jumanji alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black. In March of 2018, Kevin will star alongside Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman in his first dramatic role in the Untouchables. Hart will soon begin shooting the Feature Comedy Night School for Universal, a film in which he co-wrote under the Hartbeat production banner and will also star in. The comedy follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the longshot chance they’ll pass the GED exam.
Hart’s newest business venture is his digital platform the LOL NETWORK – Laugh Out Loud, the comedy brand and multi-platform network founded by Hart in partnership with global content leader Lionsgate. The streaming video service launched on August 3rd featuring a slate of original scripted and unscripted comedy series, stand-up specials, licensed programming, and live broadcasts. The Laugh Out Loud service also features up and coming comedians curated by Hart through LOL showcases at events, including a partnership with the world’s top comedy festival “Just for Laughs.”
Hart embarked on the multi-city domestic and international WHAT NOW comedy tour. Domestically, he sold out 8 tristate area arenas, including Madison Square Garden, Barclays, Prudential Center and Jones Beach, selling over 100,000 tickets in the NY market. Internationally, he sold out over a dozen arenas in the European market, selling over 150,000 tickets, and sold out arenas across Australia, selling 100,000 tickets. Hart’s hit comedy tour grossed over $100 million worldwide. With his passion for stand-up and entertainment, Hart continues to tour the country to sold-out audiences.
In September, 2011 Hart released Laugh At My Pain the feature film version of his comedy tour (under the same name). The movie grossed over $7 million, and was 2011’s most successful film of those released in less than 300 theaters. The LAMP tour was so successful, it catapulted Hart to 2011’s number one comedian on Ticketmaster, and in February, 2011, he sold out the Nokia Theater for two nights in a row, breaking the record previously set by Eddie Murphy. This lead to the LAMP DVD hitting double platinum in February 2012, after being on sale for only a month.

Cooper was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Phoenix with his family. The Alice Cooper band formed while they were all in high school in Phoenix, and was discovered and signed in 1969 by Frank Zappa in Los Angeles. Their third break-through album Love It to Death which hit the charts in 1971, followed by Killer, School’s Out, Billion Dollar Babies and Muscle of Love. Each new album release was accompanied by a bigger and more elaborate touring stage show. 1974 saw the release of a Greatest Hits album, and then Cooper, in 1975, released his first solo album, Welcome to My Nightmare in 1975, accompanied by the legendary groundbreaking theatrical Welcome to My Nightmare concert tour.
Associated with that album and tour was the ground-breaking network TV special Alice Cooper: The Nightmare. Other film and television appearances include The Muppet Show, Mae West’s last film Sextette, Roadie, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearst Club Band and appearances on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and Tom Snyder’s Tomorrow Show.
Alice’s solo career skyrocketed in the late 1970’s, with a succession of hit singles, including “You & Me,” and classic albums, including Lace And Whiskey and From The Inside, and bigger and even more elaborate concert tours.
In the ‘80’s Cooper explored different sounds, highlighted by the new wavish album Flush The Fashion, the Heavy Metal “Constrictor” and “Raise Your Fist And Yell,” and then 1989’s melodic Hard Rock album Trash, which featured the massive hit single “Poison” and became his biggest selling album and single worldwide. During this period Alice also appeared in the horror films Monster Dog and John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness, and recorded songs for the soundtracks to Roadie, Class of 1984, Friday the 13 Part VI: Jason Lives and Wes Craven’s Shocker.
Cooper’s most memorable movie appearance was as himself in Wayne’s World in 1991. He also played Freddy Krueger’s wicked step-father in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, and appeared on Gene Wilder’s TV series Something Wilder as well as on That ‘70’s Show. The 90’s also saw the release of the albums Hey Stoopid, The Last Temptation and Fistful of Alice.
In the new millenium, Cooper has been very productive and busy, writing, recording and releasing the albums Brutal Planet, Dragon Town, The Eyes of Alice Cooper, Dirty Diamonds, Along Came a Spider, and 2011’s Welcome 2 My Nightmare, plus Old School 1964-1974, a box set celebrating the original band.
He also wrote and published a memoir, Golf Monster, in 2007, which tracked his life from childhood to Rock stardom, and his journey from alcoholic to golf addict. With his influence on Rock & Roll long since acknowledged, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn’t achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.
