UNCASVILLE, CT (April 7, 2017) – Get ready for all-day finger-lickin’ fun at Sun BBQFest! On June 3rd and 4th, taste the flavors of the best barbeque around with festivities featuring live music, a beer garden and Tito’s RV, barbeque battles, local vendors, food trucks, fireworks and so much more.
Tickets are $5.00 per day and go on sale Friday, April 7th at 10:00am through the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids 6 and under get in free. The weekend of the event, tickets for entry are available at the gate along with food and drink tickets.

Join the BBQ action and decide who reigns supreme during the People’s Choice Contest all weekend long. $2.00 samples will be available from 20 participating Kansas City BBQ Society teams, and guests can cast their vote for the ultimate best at Sun BBQFest. On Saturday, the competition continues with a rib contest from Noon to 2:30pm, followed by a wing challenge from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. For $5.00, each contest offers a sampling of 5 wings or 5 ribs for fans to indulge and then judge. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Sun BBQFest official charity, Operation BBQ Relief.
BBQFest goers can taste their way through an endless supply of delicious meats and other flavorful options, all from some of the best restaurants and food vendors that can be found in the region. Wash it all down with a refreshing selection of beers that include Bud, Bud Light and Sam Adams. Select cocktails will also be offered for $7.00 – just what might be needed on a hot summer day!

No festival would be complete without live entertainment! The Winter Parking Lot heats up with music, demos and a fireworks show to celebrate summertime and all things BBQ.
Dance all weekend long with live music on the main stage. Jay Dempsey Band, Will Evans Band, Green Tea Band and Southern City Band will be providing the beats for this can’t-miss parking lot party.
End Saturday night with a bang! 20Ride, a Zac Brown Band tribute band, will take the stage leading up the spectacular fireworks display – set to kick off at 9:15pm and guaranteed to be fun for the whole family.

New England’s 18-hole Championship Course to Host International “Caddies Only” Golf Tournament on Monday, August 29
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 1, 2016) – Mohegan Sun Golf Club announced this week that it will be the site for the inaugural World Caddie Matches presented by Beckmen Law. This one-of-kind event will take place on Monday, August 29th, when more than 40 PGA Tour caddies from around the world compete in a one day, two-round “Ryder Cup-style” format matches. The morning will feature modified alternate shot matches, followed by singles in the afternoon. This unique, first-ever World Caddie tournament will be open for the public to watch, and some of the PGA pro golfers are also expected to attend to support their caddies! Proceeds from the event will benefit K9s for Warriors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing service canines to military veterans.
“On behalf of Beckmen Law, we are thrilled to kick-off the inaugural World Caddie Matches at Mohegan Sun Golf Club this summer,” said Scott Beckmen, Founder at Beckmen Law. “This is not only going to be an innovative event in the golf industry, as we are looking to gather the best professional golf caddies, but it will be a fun tournament for the public to watch while supporting a great cause.”
As part of the tournament, PGA Tour caddies from the U.S. and Europe will team up into foursomes which will be drawn at random during a pre-match Draw Party at Mohegan Sun on Sunday, August, 28th. Team captains for the U.S. include Steve Hulka, professional caddie to Brian Davis, “Fluff” Cowan, (Jim Furyk), and Joe LaCava, Tiger Wood’s caddie, as Vice-Captain. Captains representing the International team are Mark Fulcher, (Justin Rose) and Gareth Lord, (Henrik Stenson). Additionally, as at every Barrett-Jackson event, charity was an important part of the weekend: more than $605,000 was raised for a variety of worthy causes through the sale of six charity cars. Carolina Panther Greg Olsen stepped up to the block to sell a 1969 Chevy Camaro for $100,000 to benefit his charity The HEARTest Yard, and the Zac Brown Band sold a custom 2015 Jeep Wrangler to raise $120,000 for Camp Southern Ground.
Barrett-Jackson’s vision to bring a collector car event to the Northeast region was realized with near unparalleled success for a first-time auction. The total number of bidders (over 1,700) surpassed initial projections, with a record-number registering for bidder credentials on-site. Rockers will be in the Arena on August 28th
