Performing at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday and Sunday, December 7th & 8th
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 16, 2019) – Three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist, Pentatonix, announced the release of a new holiday album, The Best Of Pentatonix Christmas. The best-of album will feature four new songs, in addition to the quintet’s biggest and best-selling songs and collaborations from their past four holiday albums. The collection will be released on October 25th via RCA Records.
In addition to the album, Pentatonix will embark on the 16-date A Pentatonix Christmas Tour 2019, presented by SiriusXM, which will stop at Mohegan Sun Arena for two nights, on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th at 7:30pm.

ABOUT PENTATONIX
Pentatonix has sold 10 million albums in worldwide consumption and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold out shows across the globe. IN DETAIL: Come on down to Mohegan Sun Tuesday, September 17th, where a casting call for WFSB’s popular game show, The Price is Right, takes place from 2:00pm – 6:00pm in The Shops concourse. Each applicant will be interviewed on camera for approximately 30 seconds to decide if they’re the perfect candidate to make it to an official taping of the show. Two semi-finalists will travel to Los Angeles for a final interview, and the grand prize winner will be named during the filming of the episode they attend.

A special music competition that will award up to $5,000 takes place in the Wolf Den November 6th – December 11th
WHAT: Local acts with big dreams of performing in an award-winning venue where Luke Bryan, Barenaked Ladies, Pentatonix and more have taken the stage will have their shot this fall. Mohegan Sun & Hall Communications are excited to present Locals Live 2019 inside the Wolf Den – one lucky band or musician could be chosen to perform live at Mohegan Sun, win a grand prize of $5,000 cash and earn the title of Locals Live 2019 Champion! Submissions can be made online through the WCTY website.
WHEN/WHERE: Every Wednesday from November 6th – December 11th (excluding November 27th) from 8:00pm – 10:00pm in the Wolf Den.
IN DETAIL:
Locals Live is back! Mohegan Sun & Hall Communications are hosting another exciting five-week music competition every Wednesday from November 6th – December 11th (excluding November 27th) from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Sixteen local bands and musicians – four per week – will compete live at the Wolf Den. The four bands/musicians that receive the most overall votes from the audience will advance to the finals on December 11th, where they will perform in front of expert judges to vie for the $5,000 grand prize and the title of Locals Live 2019 Champion. Second place receives $1,000.
Guests are encouraged to come out to the Wolf Den and vote for their favorite! The first rounds will include a text-to-vote competition from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Voters can text in their vote up to a maximum of five times, and the talent who receives the most votes on a given performance night will proceed to the final round on December 11th. During the finals, there will be a guest and celebrity judges to assist in determining the winner in addition to the text-to-vote influence. The winner will be announced on December 11th. Admission to Locals Live is free, and guests can enjoy $3.00 Miller Lite and Coors Light. Must be 21+ to attend.

now for Over the Edge – a fundraiser hosted by Mohegan Sun to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut that will take place on Friday, September 6th. Those who accept the challenge raise funds online for the opportunity to rappel over 30 stories down Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower and enjoy amazing views and an exciting and unforgettable experience. NBC to Telecast Live on Thursday, December 19th from Mohegan Sun Arena
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 23, 2019) – NBC’s “The 2020 Miss America Competition” will telecast live on Thursday, December 19th at 8:00pm in Mohegan Sun Arena. The competition follows 51 compelling candidates as they compete for life-changing scholarships to be used to continue their efforts towards community service and education. The show will continue to highlight a diverse group of young students and professionals who are advancing the message of female strength, independence, and empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact. The Miss America Organization has ushered in a new era of progressiveness and inclusiveness, led by an all-female leadership team.
Over the last two years, the Miss America Organization and its state competitions have awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships. At the end of the telecast, one candidate will be chosen for the job of Miss America 2020 to build upon the work of Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin. Over the past year, Franklin has been promoting her social impact initiative, “Advocating for the Arts” through appearances at colleges and universities and has taken part in many other events, including making numerous visits to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
