“This is the beginning of the long goodbye,” says Roger Daltrey of the upcoming tour.
Pete Townshend commented, “Trying to stay young. Not wearing socks. Growing a great big Woodcutter’s beard. Might even wear a check shirt on stage and get a tattoo of a Union Jack. Always a fashion victim. But under no illusions. We are what we are, and extremely good at it, but we’re lucky to be alive and still touring.”
The Who have sold over 100 million records since forming in 1964; they brought together four different personalities and in effect produced a musical hurricane. Each of them was a pioneer. Wildman drummer Keith Moon beat his kit with a chaotic elegance; stoic bassist John Entwistle held down the center with the melodic virtuosity of a solo guitarist; raging intellectual Pete Townshend punctuated the epic universality of his songs with the windmill slamming of his fingers across his guitar strings; and Roger Daltrey roared above it all with an impossibly virile macho swagger. They exploded conventional rhythm and blues structures, challenged pop music conventions, and redefined what was possible on stage, in the recording studio, and on vinyl. As they enter their 50th year, the band is still going strong, winning rave reviews for their performances of Quadrophenia in 2013.

“Full Of Life” campaign celebrates epic experiences
Uncasville, CT – Mohegan Sun is rolling out a new campaign designed to breathe life and energy into the increasingly competitive gaming and entertainment industries. The campaign, ‘Full of Life,’ was designed by NY-based TAXI, INC. and spotlights the Connecticut property’s longstanding brand image of “distinctiveness.” According to Kelton Global Research, June 2014, perceptions of Mohegan Sun always tie back to “impressive and inviting atmosphere.” Unlike most competing destinations, the property features authentically striking and even inspiring spectacles throughout that contribute to its standing in the industry.
Showing off its best amenities at this time positions Mohegan Sun as the one of a kind experience that it has always aimed to be. The new campaign is also an attempt to rise above and beyond the casino business where the operation believes it belongs. The new campaign is on point with key industry trends presented at the recent 2014 Global Gaming Expo (G2E), organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions. Guests are choosing destinations based on complete entertainment offerings and not just gaming. The new communications showcase Mohegan Sun’s endless “To Do” list of sights, shops, restaurants, clubs, concerts, sporting events, hotel accommodations, spa and golf.
The ‘Full of Life” campaign uses fluid, in vogue time-lapse video techniques to demonstrate the excitement and fun of the unique and original experiences offered there.
“We have always positioned Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premiere gaming, and entertainment destination, but ‘Full Of Life’ takes us to the next level,” said George Galinsky, Sr. Vice President of Marketing Communications. “This vibrant campaign shows off our spectacular property full of epic experiences just waiting to be had. We are paying homage to the rich architecture and diverse entertainment that put Mohegan Sun in the small and unique group of the ultimate getaway destinations.”
The new campaign launches this month and coincides with the property’s 18th anniversary.
Two Connecticut firms are also contributors handling the media planning and buying for the new branding effort: Media Storm, South Norwalk, CT and Mintz & Hoke, Avon, Ct. The campaign includes newspapers, television, online advertising, billboards, social media, radio, magazines and more.

Fleetwood Mac is currently performing with their five star lineup including the returning songbird Christine McVie who rejoined the band following a 16 year absence.
RECENT REVIEWS FOR FLEETWOOD MAC’S ON WITH THE SHOW TOUR
The principal emotion during the nearly 2 1/2-hour performance was the joy of having
keyboardist McVie back in this group… She brought high harmonies and several songs,
“including ‘Little Lies,’ ‘You Make Loving Fun’ and the closing ‘Songbird,’ back into the repertoire. Nicks hasn’t sounded this good since the early ‘90’s. What a rhythm machine and what an articulate emotional guitarist Buckingham is.” – Minneapolis Star Tribune
“It’s still magical. Between Buckingham’s epic guitar solos, Mick Fleetwood’s massive drumming, John McVie’s strong bass work, Nicks’ patented spins to punctuate the lovely ‘Gypsy’ and Christine McVie’s lush vocals, Fleetwood Mac looked ready to take on what Buckingham has called ‘the next chapter.’” – Newsday
**** (four stars) – The Guardian (UK)
“Fleetwood Mac has the intricacy, elegance and underlying punch of its songs…” – The New York Times.
“With Christine’s songs back in the set, her calm, angular presence back on the stage, there was an undeniable feeling of rejuvenation… Fleetwood and John McVie on bass reminded concert-goers why the band is named for them… They still put a layer of muscle behind everything the band did… Buckingham was ferocious and tireless as lead guitar. This man is a vital musical presence – the soul of the band. Ditto for the vitality of Nicks, its cauldron-stirring spirit… Her showcase songs, ‘Landslide,’ ‘Gold Dust Woman’ and, especially ‘Silver Springs,’ were the night’s highlights.” – Chicago Tribune
“Drum solos can sometimes seem like an endurance test for a rock audience. It’s a rare joy to witness one wherein the drummer seems to experience as much giddy delight as Mick Fleetwood did. He whooped and howled, coaxing the crowd in call-and-response shouts while demonstrating his singular rhythmic sensibility.” – Chicago Sun Times
