Nine-time Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling artist John Legend will continue his highly acclaimed 2014 North American tour with new summer dates beginning in Highland, CA on July 17th. The highly anticipated tour comes on the heels of Legend’s #1 smash single “All of Me,” from his critically acclaimed fourth studio album Love in the Future, which recently claimed the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart. The single marks Legend’s highest selling and charting single of his career to date, with sales over 3 million in the US. John Legend plays Mohegan Sun Arena for the first time on Friday, August 1st for a 7:30pm show. Special guest for this show will be R&B singer Marsha Ambrosius.

Legend’s current tour, “An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour,” wraps June 28th in Woodinville, WA and features John in an intimate and acoustic setting, highlighted by guitar/vocal accompaniment as well as a string quartet. Ohio-born John Legend is a critically acclaimed, multi-award winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter. He’s sold an impressive seven million albums worldwide. His work has garnered him nine Grammy Awards, three Soul Train Awards, the BET Award for “Best New Artist” and the special “Starlight Award” from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. A graduate of University of Pennsylvania where he studied English and African-American literature, Legend participated in a wide range of musical activities while in college. Lyndon was previously the Vice President of Player Development/New Markets for Mohegan Sun. In his new role as the Vice President of Casino Marketing, Lyndon’s responsibilities include the overall management and leadership of all Casino Marketing departments. The industry veteran has worked for several well recognized casinos such as Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino, Harrah’s Marina Hotel & Casino and Caesars World International Corp. Lyndon spent much of his professional career with Kerzner International (Atlantis Resort) on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Uncasville, CT – The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority is pleased to welcome Thomas P. Burke as President of Mohegan Gaming Advisors (MGA). In this role, Burke will be responsible for overseeing all management contracts, seeking various business opportunities and supporting the planning efforts relative to future operations being developed for MGA.

Burke has over 35 years of experience within the gaming industry. He started his career at Resorts International Casino Hotel, before taking on multiple promotions and opportunities with such organizations as Tropicana, Trump and Majestic Star, among others. In 1996, Burke was named General Manager of Ameristar Casinos where he managed their Kansas City property.
Most recently, Burke served as Senior Vice President of Regional Operations for Penn National Gaming where he oversaw operations for eight properties in Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Kansas.
