Chart-topping band will perform live in Arena on August 31st and September 1st
Zac Brown Band is headed to Mohegan Sun Arena for two nights on Friday, August 31st and Saturday, September 1st at 7:30pm with music featured from their forthcoming album Uncaged (July 10, Atlantic Records/Southern Ground Artists) and a new band member Daniel de los Reyes on percussion. Ever since the early-aughts super-combo of Hybrid Theory and Meteora, Linkin Park has been doing something popular artists just don’t do, going off-menu. Chester Bennington, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda collectively came to the hard decision to deviate from the foundation of their success in search of fresh new sounds and ideas. Reopens with added yardage, numerous redesigned holes, all-new greens and a newly-hired Golf Professional
After taking the 2011 golf season off to make some course wide enhancements, Connecticut’s best kept
secret, Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug, is set to reopen this month. In addition to major modifications to the course, clubhouse and pro shop, Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug has recently named a new golf professional, Andrew Ouellet. The course will reopen for play beginning in mid-May, with a special private grand opening celebration set for Saturday, June 9th.
NEWLY-DESIGNED COURSE
As part of the extensive renovations, Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug has all new greens, redesigned bunkers and has added 125 yards of additional distance to the overall course. Some of the most noticeable changes include the complete rebuild of five of the holes, including the beautifully redesigned par-five on hole 6 that now stretches 495 yards from the black tees with an approach shot that carries over a cascading waterfall and side water hazard.
CLUBHOUSE REVAMPED
The playing field isn’t the only big change at Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug. The clubhouse also underwent renovations including remodeled banquet facilities, new carpet throughout, exterior redesign with Versetta Stone®, new windows, sliders, doors and new Granite-Top bars.

Mohegan Sun recently announced Andrew L. Ouellet as the new Golf Professional at Pautipaug. A graduate of Methodist University with a B.S. in Business Administration and Financial Economics, Ouellet brings vast experience in golf management, teaching and mentoring, coordination of large tournaments, various golf operational concerns and plenty more. His previous work includes Assistant Golf Professional jobs at the likes of Lakewood Country Club in Colorado, Minocqua Country Club in Wisconsin, the Orchard’s Golf Club in South Hadley, MA and Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, MA. Ouellet is a member of the CT PGA Education Committee and was a finalist for the “2011 Connecticut Section Assistant Golf Professional of the Year” award.

One of the hottest bands will take the stage in the Arena to kick off their tour on May 22nd
Since making waves on The U.K.’s The X Factor! Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, who make up one of the most popular bands in the world today, One Direction, will kick off their North American Summer tour live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, May 22nd at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $59.50, $49.50, $39.50 and $29.50 and go on sale Saturday, April 28th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. One Direction made history when their debut album Up All Night entered the US Billboard 200 chart at #1 with over 176,000 copies sold. This makes chart history as the first British group ever to debut at #1 in the US with their debut album release. Up All Night went straight to #1 on the digital chart within minutes of its official release on March 13th.
One Direction gained notoriety in 2010 after appearing on The U.K.’s The X-Factor. Their global smash debut album, Up All Night, entered the charts at #1 in 12 countries and has been certified triple platinum in Ireland, double platinum in the U.K. & Australia and platinum in New Zealand. Their BRIT Award winning debut single “What Makes You Beautiful” entered the charts at #1 in both the U.K. and Ireland. In the U.S., “What Makes You Beautiful” sold more than 131,000 copies in its first week, debuting at #12 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart. One Direction are Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. All of the group hail from the U.K., save for Horan, who is from Ireland. All five of the boys (ages 18-20) auditioned for the U.K.’s The X-Factor in 2010 as solo artists. However, at the suggestion of Simon Cowell, they joined forces as a group, quickly becoming one of the competition’s most popular acts of all time, finishing in the final three and garnering a gigantic fan-base along the way.
