Cultivating rockers bring their hits to the Arena on May 31st
With songs spanning over the past twenty years, Weezer will bring all of their chart-topping hits to Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, May 31st at 7:30pm.

In 1992, Weezer had their first practice session in Los Angeles. Over the course of the next year, the group played the club scene, ultimately scoring a deal with DGC from their demo cassette. To date, they have released nine full-length albums, six EPs and a DVD, selling over nine million records in the United States.
Weezer jumped from Geffen to independent label Epitaph in 2010, debuting Hurley at #6 on the Billboard 200 to make it the band’s sixth top 10 album, as well as their sixth top 10 album in a row. The new album was quickly followed by two additional releases: an expanded deluxe edition of Pinkerton and Death to False Metal. The band then took to the road to play Pinkerton and their eponymous debut “Blue Album” in their entirety, in a tour titled “The Memories Tour,” dubbed “Blinkerton” by fans. In January 2012, Weezer launched the first ever Weezer Cruise aboard Carnival Cruises.

Corey Harrison and Chumlee of History’s Pawn Stars make a stop at Mohegan Sun for Reality Check event on April 21st at 2:00pm
WHAT: Corey Harrison and Chumlee are set to greet fans and sign autographs for an all-new Reality Check taking place on Saturday, April 21st. This special Pawn Stars edition of Reality Check will take place in The Shops at Mohegan Sun and will start with a question & answer session at 2:00pm followed by a signing event at 2:30pm. The whole event comes at a bargain as it’s completely free and open to the public!
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, only specified merchandise will be signed. Because of the popularity of this event, the signing will be bracelet-only. ABOUT CHUMLEE: As Corey’s devoted childhood friend, Chumlee is just like a son to Corey’s father Rick and he’s been around the shop since he was a kid. Everybody loves Chum, but he is often the butt of the boys’ jokes. Part of the reason he isn’t taken seriously is that he constantly begs Corey to buy items that entertain him, like video games and circus paraphernalia, that usually don’t make good business sense. And, although his heart of gold makes him a pro at customer service, it’s continually proven to be bad business for the shop. Chumlee always wants to give his patrons the best deal and often takes their side, a triat that never fails to push Rick’s button. Where did Chumlee get his nickname? Friends in elementary school took the name from cartoon character Tennessee Tuxedo’s sidekick, a walrus named Chumley.

Mohegan Sun restaurants to offer gourmet dishes and desserts for Easter and Passover
Mohegan Sun will feature special menu additions throughout the property for Easter & Passover. The following offerings will be available:
Michael Jordan’s 23.sportcafe is geared up for Easter Sunday with an entrée of Braised Lamb Shank served with White Polenta, Roasted Heirloom Tomatoes and Rosemary Au Jus. This meal will be $24.00 per person.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House will serve Grilled Veal Loin with Roasted Honey Fingerling Potatoes and Gooseberry Gastrique. This dish will be offered at $42.00 per person.
And over at SolToro Tequila Grill, a delicious dish of Pan Roasted Jumbo Scallops will be featured. It will include Flautas Stuffed with Tamarind Mushrooms and Caramelized Shallots as well as Tomato, Chipotle and Mulato Chile Salsa and Crispy Prosciutto. This dish will be served for $29.00 per person.

Ballo Italian Restaurant & Social Club will be serving a special 4-course Easter dinner that will start with a Caesar Salad followed by a choice of Orecchiette, Shrimp & Roasted Fennel or Rigatoni, Sausage, Ragu Pecorino Fonduta. Free Event will Feature Louis Van Amstel of “Dancing with the Stars”
On Wednesday, April 4, 2012, dance enthusiasts worldwide will celebrate 100 years since Arthur Murray began his ballroom teaching career. On this day, Arthur Murray Studios in more than 20 countries will host special events to recognize this milestone and will share live webcast reports from many of those locations.
Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. will host one of the three largest celebrations in the U.S. – and the biggest in the East. The April 4 “Arthur Murray Dance Party Celebration” is free with a variety of activities and performances from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., with most taking place in The Shops at Mohegan Sun. There will also be a large dance stage near the waterfall outside of Todd English’s Tuscany.
Featured throughout the Mohegan Sun celebration will be dance demonstrations, group dance lessons in Waltz, Salsa, Rumba, Tango, Hustle, Fox Trot and Swing, a fashion show of dance apparel, and a dance floor where anyone can step on and take a spin. Event emcees include three-time world dance champion, Emmy-nominated choreographer Louis Van Amstel of “Dancing with the Stars.”
“Our celebration at Mohegan Sun is part of an ‘over 24-hour dance-a-thon’ to start when the sun rises in Australia,” explains Jonathan Stangel, Arthur Murray Studios’ Assistant Area Chairman for the Northeast, and a Co-Owner/Franchisee of the Connecticut dance studios in Glastonbury, Bloomfield, Niantic and Vernon. “Everyone is invited to come whenever they want and celebrate with us. Throughout the day, there will be performances and interactive events, and we will watch live webcasts from dance studios around the world, as well as the two other major U.S. parties in Chicago and Seattle.
Members of Arthur Murray’s own family (several from Connecticut) are expected to attend including his daughter, Phyllis McDowell, and four of his granddaughters. Celebrants will include students and teachers from Arthur Murray Dance Studios throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York.

ABOUT DRITA: Drita D’Avanzo is the wife of Lee D’Avanzo, who federal prosecutors allege is the leader of a Bonanno and Colombo crime family farm team. While Drita’s husband is serving time in prison for bank robbery (for the second time), she is left alone raising their two young girls and freelancing as a make-up artist. Drita was raised in the projects of Staten Island after her family settled there from Albania. Under the aid of her hardnosed father who coached soccer, Drita would be invited to play for the Women’s National Soccer Team until she met her first love and decided against going. After a string of relationships, Drita met and fell in love with Lee. While pregnant with their first child, Lee would be sentenced to 8 years in prison for alleged bank robberies.
Drita realized during this time that she would need something to fall back on and that’s when she started her career as a make-up artist. She has since worked for various high-end cosmetic companies and plans to use her skills and initiative to one day develop her own cosmetic line.

Hilarious comic headlines the Arena on May 26th
One of the most successful comedians in the world today, Jeff Dunham, returns to Mohegan Sun Arena in support of his latest stand-up special Controlled Chaos on Saturday, May 26th at 8:00pm.

His limited-series commitment, The Jeff Dunham Show, premiered as the highest rated series in Comedy Central history with 5.3 million viewers in its initial airing. The DVD was released in May of 2010 and sold more than 100,000 units within the first four weeks.
In late 2010, Dunham released his autobiography, All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed and Me, which immediately landed on the New York Times best-seller list. Dunham’s personal story is often interrupted by his characters who are quick to dispute Dunham’s recollection of their history together.
Dunham has also made many cameo appearances across television and film, from the Emmy-winning comedy series 30 Rock, to the Jay Roach-directed comedy Dinner For Schmucks, starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd.

草蜢樂隊的成立是始於他們的童年，蔡一智和蔡一傑是兄弟，跟住在隔壁的蘇志威是兒時玩伴，由小學直到中學畢業，他們都是好朋友，對音樂及跳舞興趣濃厚。畢業後，蔡一智和蘇志威成為同事，但他們仍沒有放棄對音樂的抱負，當看到了無線舉辦的新秀歌唱大賽，他們便決定參加 —- 草蜢於1985 年正式成軍，在「笫四屆新秀歌唱大賽」中，他們憑一首自己填詞的作品「一起衝」入選決賽，憑著他們突出組合的台風被梅艷芳賞識簽為伴舞。
於1987 至1988 年其間，他們跟隨不少天王巨星如梅艷芳、張國榮及呂方等到世界各地演出，包括台灣、星加坡、澳洲、美國及加拿大等，他們精湛的舞蹈及對演藝事業的熱誠受到寶麗金唱片賞識，於1988 年與他們簽下歌手合約，並出版第一張唱片—- 「草蜢」，草蜢的銀色旅途由此展開。草蜢入行十年的第一個紅館演唱會 – 「草蜢三人主義演唱會」於95 年5 月隆重舉行，演唱會得到完滿的成功，實現了草蜢三人的最大心願也為草蜢的音樂事業邁進了另一階段。草蜢由一隊跳舞偶像組合成功蛻變成為今天的實力創作組合，雖然三人各自於 DJ、唱片監製、戲劇及主持各有所成，但他們對音樂的熱誠一直都未有退減。
2005 年為紀念草蜢入行20 週年，再次踏上紅館舞台，舉行了“草蜢我們的演唱會”，反應空前熱烈，叫好又叫座，還創造了一個「草蜢文化」，就是演唱會由始至終全場觀眾都站立著跟草蜢一起跳舞。 06 及07 年草蜢更欲罷不能於紅館舉行了“FOREVERGRASSHOPPER” Part I 及 Part II 演唱會。演唱會的成功，更奠定草蜢「至尊舞台皇者」的地位，歌迷的熱烈反應，令草蜢更熱愛舞台上的演出。
2009 年4 月再下一城，草蜢於紅館舞台上再創佳績，舉行了一連7 場 “草蜢忘我演唱會”，「草蜢文化」繼續忘我地展現紅館，觀眾反應忘我非常，就算草蜢三度Encore 觀眾依然不肯離場，足見草蜢舞台上的魅力非凡! 完成香港演唱會後，草蜢隨即走遍世界各地展開演唱會巡迴之旅，忘我足跡走遍星加坡、馬來西亞、台灣、澳洲、美加及中國多個城市….等世界各地。
踏入 2010 年，正是草蜢的25 週年，草蜢再現紅館這個舞台與歌迷繼續一起忘我慶祝這重要日子，於10 月舉行了一連8 場 “25 草蜢演唱會”。今次演唱會花盡心思，舞台設計成凸凹不平的斜台，實行挑戰草蜢的體能，但草蜢在這舞台上仍能揮灑自如地勁歌熱舞，實在令人拍案叫絕! 除草蜢的經典歌外, 他們更特別選唱25 首對草蜢有著深遠影響的別人的歌，再配上耳目一新的編曲，與歌迷一起集體回憶這25 年來的真經典。
一向勇於接受新挑戰的草蜢，於 2011 年初試啼聲，首次為TVB 主持遊戲節目 “華麗明星賽”，邀請多位明星好友，透過各種不同遊戲形式，測試一下各位嘉賓的知識和品味，看看他們真的是一位俱有華麗氣質的超級巨星嗎？此節目不但深受廣大觀眾歡迎，草蜢更在TVB「萬千星輝頒獎典禮 2011」勇奪《最佳節目主持》大獎，而 “華麗明星賽” 更成為本年度《最佳綜藝節目》。令草蜢除歌唱事業外，再創新的一頁!

Redfoo and Cherrytree Present: Sorry For Party Rocking Tour live in Arena on June 28th
They shared the stage with Madonna at the Bridgestone Super Bowl halftime show, now LMFAO is ready to take their party rock anthems on the road as Redfoo and Cherrytree Present: Sorry for Party Rocking Tour featuring LMFAO, the Party Rock Crew and special guests Far East Movement, The Quest Crew, Sidney Samson, Eva Simmons and Natalia Kills. The party comes to Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, June 28th at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $65.00 and $45.00 and go on sale Saturday, March 3rd at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. LMFAO’s sophomore album Sorry For Party Rocking was recently certified gold and quickly approaching platinum. The album has produced two #1 singles, “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy And I Know It,” while the third single “Sorry For Party Rocking” is climbing the Top 40 radio charts. The video for “Sorry For Party Rocking” premiered on E! last week and already has over 9 million views on VEVO. The video features LMFAO and the party rock crew in full-on house party mode.
LMFAO has performed on numerous television shows including Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, The American Music Awards and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. LMFAO’s ”Party Rock Anthem” has surpassed 10 million units in total sales worldwide. “Party Rock Anthem” was the #2 top selling song of 2011 on iTunes in the U.S. behind Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” and it was the #1 selling song on iTunes in the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The video has seen over 360 million views on VEVO and was featured by KIA in their award- winning KIA Hamster advertising campaign. LMFAO’s music has been licensed by movie and television shows, including 20th Century Fox’s holiday hit Chipwrecked, Fox’s TV hit Glee! and the top charting game Just Dance 3.
