Gigantour, the critically acclaimed package festival founded in 2005 by esteemed Metal titans Megadeth, will make its highly anticipated return for the first time since 2008. Megadeth will perform along with Motorhead and special guests Volbeat and Lacuna Coil in Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, January 27th at 6:30pm.

Megadeth’s thirteenth album–appropriately titled TH1RT3EN—was released November 1st via Roadrunner Records. On TH1RT3EN, Dave Mustaine and the band continue to sharpen their attack, taking down leaders who sell false truths; Megadeth taps into the collective paranoia of modern times. The new release follows up 2009’s Endgame, which was one of the most celebrated albums of the pioneering band’s storied career. Anticipation is high and fans are anxious for a taste of new music from the legends who have sold over 25 million albums globally throughout the course of their career. The album’s first single is the volcanic “Public Enemy No. 1.”

Jacksonville, FL melodic-rockers Cold have been forced to postpone their 8:00pm show in the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, October 29th due to illness. Information on the rescheduled concert will be posted to the band’s website www.coldarmy.com when it becomes available.
Doo-Wop and R&B legends, The Brooklyn Bridge, who were already scheduled to appear in the Wolf Den on Sunday, have agreed to come in early and perform on both Saturday and Sunday. The show for Saturday, October 29th night is still scheduled for 8:00pm.
The Brooklyn Bridge was created in 1968 when two bands, The Rhythm Method and The Del-Satins featuring Johnny Maestro, merged. They recorded hit after hit beginning with their first gold record for Jimmy Webb’s, “The Worst That Could Happen.” Other hits include “Welcome Me Love,” “Blessed Is The Rain” and “Your Husband, My Wife.” The Band’s countless television appearances include The Ed Sullivan Show. Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den is bringing in an array of talent this November beginning with the popular 80s cover band Rubix Kube on Thursday, November 3rd, followed by legendary artist Charo on Saturday, November 5th. Blue Oyster Cult bring their chart topping hits to the Wolf Den on Saturday, November 12th. Mohegan Sun is proud to also welcome performer Leon Russell to the Wolf Den stage on Friday, November 18th and The Postelles will cap off the month with a performance on Sunday, November 27th. Friday and Saturday Wolf Den shows begin at 8:00pm and Sunday shows are at 7:00pm unless otherwise noted. Admission is free, but all patrons must be 21 or over.
Rubix Kube is taking the country by storm as the most original 80s cover band of all time. Headquartered in NYC, they perform a one-of-a-kind “Back To The Eighties Show” every Saturday night at Canal Room in the heart of Tribeca. Rubix Kube is more than just a tribute band – it’s a totally awesome, true 80s experience! Every super-charged show takes it to the max, guarantees to set the roof on fire and brings the house down (metaphorically speaking).
Charo is a household name. Instantly recognizable for her witty humor, loveable accent and her mastery of the flamenco guitar. It is Charo’s trademark expression: “Cuchi-Cuchi,” which has endeared her to the world and made the name Charo synonymous with fun and excitement.
New York-based group Blue Oyster Cult has been electrifying audiences for decades with their blend of Hard Rock improvisation. Influencing many of today’s biggest Rock bands, Blue Oyster Cult is a pioneer of the Heavy Metal music scene and they are still going strong.
Leon Russell is a music legend and perhaps the most accomplished and versatile musician in the history of Rock ‘n Roll. In his distinguished and unique 50 year career, he has played on, arranged, written and/or produced some of the best records in popular music including “A Song For You,” “Tight Rope” and “Slippin’ Into Christmas.”
Playing propulsive Pop tunes with a streetwise energy and attitude that’s pure Rock & Roll, The Postelles are a four-piece band born and bred in New York City. In 2007, the Postelles began playing out, and they soon gained a valuable ally in Albert Hammond, Jr., guitarist with the Strokes. Hammond liked The Postelles’ music enough to help produce a six-song EP for the band; the EP earned enthusiastic reviews and some British radio play. The buzz helped The Postelles set up a tour of Europe which included shows in London and Paris, and back home in the States the band was booked into two major summer festivals, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

Uncasville, Connecticut – Mohegan Sun celebrated its 15th anniversary with a star-studded weekend that included a sold out performance by the sensational Jennifer Lopez. Lopez delivered a spectacular show with her popular hits like Love Don’t Cost A Thing, Let’s Get Loud, On The Floor and her new single Papi. Surprise guests Fat Joe and DJ Enuff had the crowd going wild.
Celebrities in attendance throughout the weekend included Glee’s Lea Michele, Terrence Howard, Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo, Donnie Wahlberg, Kenny Wormald, Jaime Pressly, Maria Menounos, Jesse Metcalfe, Hugo Becker, Tinsley Mortimer and Kelly Bensimon. Mohegan Sun kicked off its 15th anniversary celebration weekend by honoring Regis Philbin, an American original who has spent the last half-century entertaining us all.
A special “Tribute to Regis Philbin” took place in the Uncas Ballroom, with red-carpet appearances by such stars as Susan Lucci, Vincent Piazza, Tinsley Mortimer, Hugo Becker, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel and others. A subsequent late-night party in the nightclub Ultra 88 raised the noise level, with a special appearance by MTV’s “The Jersey Shore” castmates Ronnie, Sammi, and Deena.
The weekend celebration continues at Mohegan Sun tomorrow night with a sold-out special concert by the sensational Jennifer Lopez. ABOUT BETH: Beth Shak has been playing poker for seven years, starting out on Full Tilt Poker’s website for fun and gradually using real money when she became more confident with the game. Actress & author to take part in exclusive signing on October 21st as part of Mohegan Sun’s 15th Anniversary festivities
WHAT: Susan Lucci, author, entrepreneur and actress who portrayed Erica Cane on the daytime drama All My Children for over 40 years, takes part in an exclusive Signings & Sightings event in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Friday, October 21st. Susan will be signing copies of her latest book, All My Life: A Memoir at 4:00pm in the Spring Gateway at The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

ABOUT SUSAN: As the most famous face in daytime television history, Susan Lucci has held audiences spellbound for years as the sexy, sassy, beautiful “woman you love to hate,” Erica Kane on ABC’s All My Children. In May 1999, she won the Daytime Emmy Award for “Best Actress,” which was a historic moment not only for Lucci, but for all of television.
