Extraordinary dancing production comes to Mohegan Sun Arena on April 7th
Generations of audiences, more than 60 million people from 68 countries, have seen Michael Flatley’s Lord of The Dance presented by MagicSpace Entertainment and Global Entertainment Group. The tour arrives at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, April 7th at 8:00pm.

Flatley says, “We have fresh wardrobes and an exciting new set featuring elements from the successful international tour I performed in last year – we sold out more than 20 dates in the UK. Fans will see technological highlights like video incorporated into an LED wall, as well as a number of changes to the overall lighting and set designs.” Flatley, who retired from dancing in 2011, is Artistic Director of Lord of the Dance and oversees all aspects of the production. “We are really excited to introduce our fans to the new visual experience that complements our show.” Flatley added that new interest in dancing sparked by primetime shows like Dancing with the Stars has fans anxious to see more Lord of the Dance style shows. Flatley was a special guest on Dancing with the Stars in the seventh season and performed on the show in 2007 and 2008.

Alternative rockers set to play Human Clay at Mohegan Sun Arena on April 21st
Grammy-winning Rock giants Creed have added more dates as part of their U.S. tour this spring and will perform their album Human Clay along with other hits at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, April 21st at 8:00pm.

Reality Fighting returns to Mohegan Sun Arena on February 25th
Reality Fighting returns to Mohegan Sun Arena for another night of action-packed mixed martial arts (MMA) thrills on Saturday, February 25th at 8:00pm.

The event will feature two championship fights in the Middleweight and Welterweight Divisions. Middleweight Champion Alexandre “Vaca” Moreno (11-2, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt), will make his first title defense after his title win by armbar in February 2011 against Domenic Gagliardi (4-1, Bristol, CT), who is coming off a recent win by knockout. The Welterweight Championship will be decided when Nate Lamotte (12-5, Manchester, NH) faces off against Brett Oteri (8-3, Dedham, MA). Lamotte is a former title holder and is looking to get the belt back while Oteri has two big wins in Reality Fighting and has risen to the number one contender spot.
The main card is stacked from top to bottom with some of the best New England talent. Connecticut’s Chris Simmons returns to the cage to face Massachusetts’ Joe DeChaves and John Naples of Uncasville, CT faces Steve Carr in a featherweight fight.
Also fighting are knockout artist Dwight Grant (won last two fights by KO), submission wizard Jeremy Ross, Massachusetts’ wrestling champion Joe McGann and more.

January 6th performance will be rescheduled at a later date
The Quiet Riot show that had been set for January 6th in the Wolf Den has now been postponed due to a personal matter with the band. Mohegan Sun and Quiet Riot apologize for the inconvenience and will reschedule a date in the near future.
Wolf Den performances are free and open to the public, must be 21 years or older to attend.

New Edition was formed in the Roxbury section of Boston, Massachusetts by Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Bobby Brown, who began singing together in 1978 while still in elementary school, hoping to perform for pocket cash. They eventually recruited friend Ralph Tresvant as a fourth member and after winning a talent show in 1980, also added Ronnie DeVoe. More talent show victories followed, including a prestigious gig at the local Strand Theatre, where they performed the Jackson 5’s “The Love You Save.” They were discovered by writer/producer/impresario Maurice Starr, who signed the group to his small Streetwise label in hopes of launching a Jackson 5 phenomenon for the 80s.
“Candy Girl,” a song Starr co-wrote for the group, was released as their first single in 1983, when the members ranged in age from 13 to 15. Despite a lack of major-label interest in the group, “Candy Girl” was a smash, topping the R&B charts. Their debut album, also titled Candy Girl, spawned two more R&B hits in “Popcorn Love” and “Is This the End?” and MCA offered the group a deal.
They would go on to have successful hits in the 90s and then temporarily separated to focus on solo endeavors. The group returned in the 2000s when P. Diddy signed them to his Bad Boy label for the release of their 2004 comeback album, One Love.

Sun WineFest 2012’s lineup of celebrity chefs and winemakers will feature top personalities in both industries at Mohegan Sun on Friday, January 27th ; Saturday, January 28th; and Sunday, January 29th. Northeast’s premier entertainment destination transforms into a tropical paradise this January
UNCASVILLE, CT – There’s no need to hop a seaplane or go aboard a ferry to island hop this winter. Just head over to

On Saturday, January 14th, escape the winter blues with Mohegan Sun’s Island Hop party- where the 130,000 square-foot Shops concourse will be transformed into a tropical paradise complete with a tiki bar, steel drummers, Island Oasis signature drinks, a live DJ and more. Aspiring comedians from all across New England to compete for coveted title
One of the best stand-up comedy competitions in New England returns to The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun in 2012. Treehouse Comedy Productions and Mohegan Sun are proud to announce “The Funniest Comic in New England Contest,” which officially kicks off on Friday, February 17th when forty of New England’s funniest will compete for the title.
