Cirque Dreams Celebration
The New Year celebration kicks off on Wednesday, December 28th inside the Mohegan Sun Arena as the Cirque Dreams Celebration’s acclaimed and whimsical holiday spectacular will dazzle guests with a three-part show! As the nation’s premiere family holiday tradition, Cirque Dreams Celebration conveys the magic of the holiday season through a Broadway-style production infused with contemporary circus arts. Cirque Dreams Celebration will headline Mohegan Sun Arena for three nights straight, beginning December 28th.

Wolf Den Lineup
Kicking off the action on Friday, December 30th inside Mohegan Sun’s legendary Wolf Den will be one of Connecticut’s premier five-piece tribute bands, Raise Your Hands: a Bon Jovi Tribute. Make your way to the Wolf Den at 8:00pm for a night full of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits including Livin on a Prayer, Bed of Roses, and You Give Love a Bad Name. Catch the best band in Rhode Island Blurred Vision on the Wolf Den stage Saturday, December 31st for two sets at 8:00pm and 11:00pm as they rock the crowd into the new year! This award-winning eight-piece band plays a wide variety of music to keep the energy going.

Yesterday, Louis Tomlinson unveiled one final taste of his upcoming album with the release of “Silver Tongues,” a rousing earworm, bursting at the seams with joyful nostalgic energy. Written with Joe Cross (Lana Del Ray, Courteeners) and Theo Hutchcraft from Hurts, the track is another bold step forward sonically for Louis.
This Friday sees the release of Louis’ long-awaited second album Faith In The Future. The title epitomizes Louis’ optimistic worldview, producing a collection of songs designed for the live environment. After spending the first portion of his adult life working 100 miles per hour, Louis reveled in taking his time to make sure he got his sophomore album right. He’s made Faith In The Future on his watch, and collaborators include Mike Crossey (The 1975, Wolf Alice), Rob Harvey, Dan Grech (The Killers, The Vaccines, Halsey), Nico Rebscher (Alice Merton) and the aforementioned Joe Cross and Theo Hutchcraft.
In celebration of the new album, Louis will perform “Silver Tongues” on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon tomorrow on NBC at 11:35pm. He will also celebrate the album release with a special, one-night only, sold-out show tomorrow night at New York City’s Irving Plaza.
Featuring both the anthemic first single “Bigger Than Me” and Indie Punk fan favorite “Out Of My System,” the album begins in emphatic style with the pounding drums of “The Greatest,” which Tomlinson says is a celebration of the relationship he has amassed with his avid fanbase. Superstar Country singer is the 38th inductee
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 8, 2022) – Before back-to-back, sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena this weekend, Luke Combs was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame. Greg Romeyn, Director of Sports and Entertainment for Mohegan, presented Combs with the honor in a private ceremony backstage before Combs’ first show on Friday night. The Country superstar and reigning Country Music Awards “Entertainer of the Year” is the 38th inductee into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame.
Combs performed to 9,300 fans on both Friday and Saturday night as part of his The Middle of Somewhere Tour. He has now performed three sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena since making his debut in Uncasville in 2019.
After Combs’ show on Saturday, he made a surprise appearance at novelle’s Luke Combs after party to give away an autographed guitar to one lucky fan. Combs also took the time to sign the iconic autograph wall backstage at Mohegan Sun Arena, which has collected hundreds of autographs from famous performers and entertainers over the years.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry and a six-time CMA, three-time ACM, three-time Billboard Music Award winner, Combs is in the midst of a record-setting and historic series of years. His previous release, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Anthrax & Black Label Society with special guest Exodus will visit Mohegan Sun Arena for one spectacular night of Heavy Metal at 6:30pm on Friday, February 3, 2023.

Anthrax is composed of Scott Ian (guitars), Frank Bello (bass), Charlie Benante (drums), Joey Belladonna (vocals) and Jonathan Donias (guitars). Anthrax celebrated its 40th anniversary in July 2021. In the span of 40 years, the band has released 11 studio albums, earned multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, received six Grammy nominations along with a host of other accolades from the media, music industry, and fans.
In 1991, the band helped break down race and genre barriers when they collaborated with Public Enemy on the track “Bring The Noise” and were the first Metal band to have its music heard on Mars when NASA played “Got The Time” to wake up the Mars Rover in 2012. Along with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, Anthrax is a card-carrying member of The Big Four, the four bands that defined the Speed/Thrash/Metal genre.
Everything about Black Label Society begins with the riff. A dedicated disciple of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple, Zakk Wylde looks to the massive guitar hooks in classics like “Whole Lotta Love,” “Into the Void,” and “Smoke On the Water” as guiding lights. “The main ingredient in any Black Label soup is the riff,” says the larger-than-life front man.
Black Label Society builds their music on this simple truth – truth as self-evident on Back in Black as on the dozen songs comprising Doom Crew Inc. – the 11th album from the dependable stalwarts. Doom Crew Inc. is both a tribute to the band’s “first to bleed, last to leave” road crew and a salute to the legion whose support, stretching back to 1998, rivals that of the KISS Army. A charismatic Heavy Metal marauder recognized worldwide as a living legend, Wylde rose to prominence when Ozzy Osbourne chose him as his loyal axe-man, based on a cassette he mailed in as a teen. Guitar World put him on their cover more than a dozen times in recognition of his work on multiplatinum albums by the icon he calls “the Boss” and the two decades of music made by BLS.
Doom Crew Inc. sees Zakk trading solos and twin-guitar parts with Dario Lorina, backed by the rumble of longtime bassist John “J.D.” DeServio and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb. Like every BLS album since 2010, the band tracked Doom Crew Inc. at Zakk’s home studio, aka the Black Vatican.
The beautiful simplicity of BLS bangers owe everything to the lessons Wylde first heard on Black Sabbath’s We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll. “Less is more with everything,” he says. “Except the guitar solos.”

Mohegan Sun Delivers More Than $2.2 Billion in Local Economic Activity to Connecticut
UNCASVILLE, CT, October 25, 2022 – Mohegan,
world renowned entertainment and gaming entity, today announced its North America properties generated a total of $5.2 billion in local economic activity over a one-year period, according to the brand’s first-ever Economic Impact Report. Analyzing data for 2019 (the most recent representative year), the report details Mohegan’s significant, positive impact on employment, household income, direct visitor spending, as well as state and local tax support. Mohegan commissioned Oxford Economics, the world’s foremost independent economic advisory firm, to conduct the study.
The analysis utilized a widely recognized approach to determining economic impact and examined all Mohegan properties in operation in 2019: Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut; Mohegan Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre; ilani in Ridgefield, Washington; Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Niagara Casinos in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
“Mohegan is deeply-rooted in supporting the communities in which we operate and serve, and this new report makes clear the true scale of that impact across our critical partnerships, charitable giving, sustainability initiatives, funding infrastructure, and direct contributions to state and local government revenues,” said James Gessner Jr., Chairman of the Mohegan Tribe. “We are guided by our core values and our centuries-old philosophy, ‘Spirit of Aquai’ – living the importance of cultivating productive and long-term relationships. The $5.2 billion in economic activity includes:
- Nearly 35,000 total jobs created
- More than $2.7 billion in revenues generated onsite and off-property by the 15.7 million visitors to U.S./Canada-based Mohegan destinations in 2019
- $759.3 million paid in state and local taxes, including gaming contributions, supported by Mohegan
- $639.2 million in business purchases by Mohegan to contribute to operations, supporting networks of local businesses of all sizes in the communities and regions in which Mohegan operates

Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 28th
Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the Rock and Roll era,” Chicago – the legendary Rock and Roll band with horns – returns to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:30pm on Friday, April 14th.

The tour comes on the heels of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Chicago’s 38th studio album, Born For This Moment, which was released in July. Featuring the signature sounds Chicago fans have come to love, Born For This Moment captures the true heart of this legendary band. Over the entire course of 14 vibrant new songs, Born For This Moment encapsulates the unique blend of award-winning and personal songwriting, multilayered harmonic vocalizations, and world-class arrangements that have been electrifying audiences across the globe for decades.
In September, Gravitas Ventures released Chicago’s documentary The Last Band on Stage, directed by Peter Curtis Pardini and narrated by the band’s longtime friend and actor Joe Mantegna. The Last Band on Stage tells the incredible story of how the 55-year-old band survived a pandemic that stopped the world in its tracks.
“Chicago has faced many obstacles in lasting 55 years, but the pandemic was possibly their greatest challenge. I’m excited for people to see the story of how they got back to the stage to continue performing,” Pardini said.
Chicago’s lifetime achievements include two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, Founding Artists of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Chicago street dedicated in their honor, and keys to and proclamations from an impressive list of U.S. cities. Record sales top the 100 million mark, and include 21 Top 10 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, 11 No. 1 singles, and five Gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 38 albums have been certified Platinum, and the band has a total of 48 Gold and Platinum awards.
Chicago have toured every year since the beginning; they’ve never missed a year. The original three band members are Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals and James Pankow on trombone. The band lineup also includes Wally Reyes, Jr. on drums, Tony Obrohta on guitar, Loren Gold on keyboards and vocals, Ray Herrmann on sax and flute, Neil Donell on vocals, Eric Baines on bass, and Ramon “Ray” Yslas on percussion.

Fans of fine wine and food can indulge their appetites for both during the 19th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest (SWFF) beginning Thursday, January 26th and lasting through Sunday, January 29th. Sun Wine & Food Fest is one of the largest and most popular wine festivals in the Northeast, treating guests to a vast selection of wines and no shortage of delicious food pairings. Across the four-day SWFF 2023 there are 14 total events, including the return of the Grand Tasting, Celebrity Chef Dine Around, and Vintage Cru. New events this year include the Pappy Van Winkle Tasting where guests can taste one of the most sought-after bourbons of Pappy Van Winkle with a special, infused Macanudo cigar inside the Clay Pipe Cigar Bar. Grand Tasting Preview
Guests can get a sneak peek of the Grand Tasting, one of Sun Wine & Food Fest’s signature showcases. This preview is held at the Earth Expo Center, and guests can sample a variety of wine, beer, and spirits while pairing their favorites with delectable dishes from some of the region’s top restaurants. The Grand Tasting Preview offers the opportunity to experience an exclusive preview of SWFF’s largest event while also getting an early peek at celebrity chefs showing off their skills.
On Friday, January 27th from 8:00pm to 10:00pm the Grand Tasting Preview will take place. Ticket prices are $100 in advance and $125 at the door. Tickets for designated drivers cost $40.
Grand Tasting
Sun Wine & Food Fest’s main event features over 1,000 different types of wine, beer, and spirits for guests to sample inside the 125,000 square-foot Earth Expo Center! Foodies can also taste dishes from award-winning restaurants throughout the region and select bites from elite chefs.
