UNCASVILLE, CT (October 3, 2019) – Halloweekend gets an early start this year at Mohegan Sun with tricks and treats across property, including costume contests with over $8,000 in prizes, live entertainment, nightlife specials and a special screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Celebrations start Friday, October 25th. All costumes must allow for positive I.D.

The Halloween edition of Famous Fridays at Mohegan Sun’s newest ultra-lounge goes down Friday, October 25th and includes an open costume contest with over $1000 in prizes ready to be dished out. Popular DJ Vito G. will also be in the building to help get the party started. The Story Saturdays open costume contest on October 26th offers $2,500 in prizes with music by DJ Mark Anthony. And finally, Industry Thursdays takes over Halloween night, with $5,000 in prizes given out to the winners of the open costume contest and music by Chase B.

Avalon Nightclub is hosting a Halloween bash to remember on Saturday, October 26th. Doors open at 9:00pm with music by Joe Maz. GAME ON is offering food and drink specials, and themed drinks all night. This venue is open to all ages until 10:00pm.
The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House presents the 7 Day Weekend Halloween Party on Saturday, October 26th starting at 10:00pm. Guests can enjoy live music by 7 Day Weekend and prizes, along with food and drink specials all night long.
The Cabaret Theatre celebrates Halloween night with a viewing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Thursday, October 31st at 8:00pm. Guests can enjoy the Halloween classic with a shadow cast of the film by the Teseracte Players of Boston. Admission is free and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Connecticut native Tim Cote is set to bring Country charm to the Wolf Den with a free show on Thursday, October 31st at 8:00pm. Guests are encouraged to come early, as seating is limited. All guests must be 21 or older to enter the Wolf Den.
Comix Roadhouse keeps the laughs coming with a special Halloween edition of PAT OATES’ HAND PICKED POTATOES on Thursday, October 31st at 10:00pm. Pat was the winner of Comix Roadhouse’s 2015 Last Comix Standing contest, is a writer for Laugh Staff and hosts the Pat Oats is Sad podcast. UNCASVILLE, CT (October 1, 2019) – Lou Gramm, original lead singer of Foreigner, was hospitalized at the Unity Hospital at Park Ridge in Rochester, NY last week with a severe respiratory infection, dehydration and fatigue. He hoped to be ready to appear during the FOREIGNER Double Vision: Then & Now tour and some scheduled shows with Asia. Unfortunately, at his recent follow up appointment, his doctor pronounced him unable to perform at these shows.
Lou Gramm stated “I’m very disappointed about not being able to perform at the FOREIGNER Double Vision: Then & Now shows for all the fans. My doctor insists if I pushed myself to perform, I would be in big trouble. So doctor’s orders, I ride the bench. Rock on!”
Fellow original band member, Mick Jones expressed “We will all miss Lou at our upcoming shows and we join all his family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery.”

Connecticut REALTORS, iHeartMedia and WTNH News 8 team up to help combat opioid use disorder in Connecticut
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 23, 2019) – Every day, at least two people in Connecticut die from an opioid overdose. Connecticut REALTORS, iHeartMedia and WTNH News 8 are teaming up to help reduce that staggering number. Today marks the start of a multi-month campaign to raise money and build awareness surrounding Connecticut’s opioid crisis. The campaign will air on all media platforms including television, radio, digital and social media. The highlight of the campaign will be a concert headlined by Academy of Country Music & Country Music Association “Entertainer of the Year,” Keith Urban. Titled ‘A Concert for Recovery’ at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, November 17th at 7:00pm.

UNCASVILLE, CT (September 23, 2019) – America’s favorite dance show is going back on tour this winter with ‘Dancing with the Stars – Live Tour 2020.’ The longest tour to date will be dancing through Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, January 11th and Sunday, January 12th at 7:30pm. The all-new production will feature fan-favorite professional dancers wowing audiences with every type of dance style as seen on ABC’s hit show Dancing with the Stars.

Touted as ‘the comedian’s comedian” by People, Maniscalco finds himself “at the vanguard of a live comedy revolution” according to Pollstar. And the man NBC Nightly News called “comedy’s new superstar” is showing no signs of slowing down.
“There’s nothing like going to a live show and seeing it in real life,” Maniscalco says in a recent interview with Forbes, who named him as one of the Top 10 highest-grossing stand-up comedians in the world in 2019. “Is there a comedy bubble that’s going to pop soon? Yet to be seen, but as I’ve been in this business, it has gotten progressively better each year and I don’t see it slowing down.”
Not only has the star power of Maniscalco rocketed upward in the past few years thanks to shows described by Billboard as “devastatingly full force comedy,” but also due to his high energy Netflix Original special, Stay Hungry. The special, which was taped over a span of five sold-out shows at the legendary Radio City Music Hall, had Maniscalco playing for a total of 28,312 long-time fans and early believers in his unique comedic voice.

5th annual event benefiting veterans and active duty military
to take place in the Earth Expo & Convention Center
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 23, 2019) – Vets Rock, a free event where Mohegan Sun and the community come together to celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources, returns Friday, November 1st. Special services featured in the Earth Expo & Convention Center include a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes, over 50 veteran service organizations and Save-A-Suit presented by Bozzuto’s.
Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2019 will begin with an opening ceremony hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH in The Shops concourse at 10:00am. The opening ceremony includes a salute to veterans and active duty military personnel during the National Anthem and a performance by the Voices of the Sun choir.
Vets Rock Expo
From 10:00am – 6:00pm, guests are invited to partake in the free Vets Rock Expo in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. The expo features over 50 veteran services organizations and a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes. Save-A-Suit, presented by Bozzuto’s, will also be on-hand, outfitting up to 150 veterans with professional attire. Pre-registration is required to participate in Save-A-Suit.

Charity concert with top Country artist Chris Janson set for Friday, October 25th in the Wolf Den
