UNCASVILLE, CT (February 25, 2020) – Comedian Dave Chappelle is coming to Mohegan Sun Arena’s stage for back-to-back stand-up shows on Saturday, May 9th at 7:00pm and 10:00pm.

Dave Chappelle is an internationally recognized stand-up comedian and actor known for his trademark wit and sharp, irreverent social commentary. Arguably the most-touring comic on the circuit, Chappelle has performed more than 1,600 concerts worldwide in the past four years, selling out shows within minutes of their announcements.
The past few years have been banner for Chappelle. In 2019, he joined the coveted class of recipients of the Mark Twain Prize for “American Humor,” the highest award in comedy. Additionally, he received Grammy awards for “Best Comedy Album” for his last three Netflix specials: Sticks and Stones (2019), Equanimity & The Bird Revelation (2018), The Age Of Spin & Deep In The Heart Of Texas (2017) which were delivered on vinyl as double-feature albums. In 2017, Chappelle celebrated his 30th year in comedy with a residency at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, selling more than 90,000 tickets and performing 16 shows that included 58 guests representing the biggest names in comedy and music. That year, he also received his first Emmy Award for his debut episode on Saturday Night Live. His memorable, panoramic monologue was the comic relief the country needed following the 2016 Presidential election that reflected our nation’s deep racial divide. Pollstar awarded Chappelle with “Comedy Tour of The Year” in 2014 and 2018 and he captured his second Emmy for “Outstanding Variety Special” with Equanimity in 2018.

Santana, and his band (which also features Santana’s wife, Cindy Blackman Santana) will highlight songs from both his Supernatural and Woodstock eras, as well as newer tracks from his 2019 full-length album Africa Speaks and some incredible surprises.

This past year, Santana celebrated the 20th anniversary of his revolutionary, multiple Grammy award-winning album Supernatural, along with the 50th anniversary of his Woodstock performance. Santana’s 1999 album Supernatural featured the back-to-back #1 singles “Smooth” and “Maria Maria” and sold over 30 million copies worldwide, topping the charts in over a dozen countries and sweeping the 2000 Grammy Awards.

At Mohegan Sun Arena on May 23rd with special guest Jesse Ahern
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 20, 2020) – This May, Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will hit the road together for the first time since 2017, for the co-headlining Boston To Berkeley II Tour with special guest Jesse Ahern supporting. On Saturday, May 23rd at Mohegan Sun Arena, Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will end the night on stage together for a joint encore. As was the case on the original From Boston To Berkeley run in 2017, the final band of the night will vary by date, with either Dropkick Murphys or Rancid as the closing act.

Rancid and Dropkick Murphys have a long and important history together. Back in 1997, Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen came across a copy of Dropkick Murphys’ original EP at a friend’s house. He turned it over to his bandmate and Hellcat Records president Tim Armstrong, who quickly snatched up the band for his new label.

Emerging from the blue-collar swamps of Berkeley, California, Rancid has now been a living, breathing Punk Rock band for over a quarter century.
