The Second Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting, a Coca-Cola Caravan, daily specials, a Gingerbread themed Pop-up Bar in Sky Tower hotel lobby and more is on tap this holiday season at Mohegan Sun!

UNCASVILLE, CT (November 20, 2024) – Guests are invited to get ready to embrace the festive spirit as Mohegan Sun counts down to the most wonderful time of the year!

Countdown to Cheer at Mohegan Sun | Each day in December at Mohegan Sun will bring a new reason to be merry and enjoy the festive season as incredible deals and jolly good times are featured across the resort. Holiday entertainment like Straight No Chaser, special hotel packages, a seasonal pop-up bar with the scent of gingerbread in the air, can’t-miss food & beverage offerings, and more kick-off on Sunday, December 1st!

Mix & Mingle: The Ultimate Big Little Holiday Party | On Friday, December 13th and Friday, December 20th beginning at 5:00pm, guests can sip on festive cocktails, enjoy a delicious holiday-themed dinner buffet, and take in live Jazz music at novelle. This year, Mohegan Sun is adding a  twist – with a Casino 101 event known as Shuffle to Showdown. Guests can learn to play Blackjack with fun money, and then test their skills in a friendly Blackjack tournament, sponsored by Bacardí! Second Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting | Mohegan Sun’s Second Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting on December 15th will have a very special guest, as legendary musician Andrea Bocelli, will help light up a Christmas Tree on the Sun Patio. Additionally, right before the tree lighting, Andrea Bocelli will officially be inducted into Mohegan Sun Arena’s Walk of Fame! This event takes place from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, and is fun for the whole family. Featured at this outdoor holiday gathering will be complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and sweet treats. The Sun Patio Bar will also serve flavorful specialty cocktails crafted by Mohegan Sun’s skilled bartenders. Guests can sing along to their favorite holiday tunes performed by talented carolers, shop at vendor booths and pose for photos with Santa! This event is open to all ages and admission is free. Holiday POP! The Gingerbread Bar | Guests are invited to step into something sweet on select days during Countdown to Cheer! Holiday POP! The Gingerbread Bar, located in the Sky Tower Lobby, is a magical holiday pop-up bar full of warmth, magic, and endless holiday fun. Sip on festive spirits and holiday-inspired cocktails while sitting by the fireplace with friends.

Coca-Cola Caravan | It’s time to share holiday magic! Guests are invited to the Sun Patio on Sunday, December 22nd from 3:00pm – 8:00pm to take free family photos with Santa and have the moment printed on a postcard. Guests can send it via Santa’s Magic Mailbox to loved ones across the country – on Mohegan Sun! Browse gifts at the Giving Shoppe, where each purchase supports Boys & Girls Clubs across America. Wolf Den Holiday Entertainment Lineup | The Wolf Den will also be rockin’ with holiday entertainment throughout December. Guests can check out Christmas with The Nelsons on Friday, December 13th at 8:00pm, Merry Christmas Darling Carpenters’ Christmas starring Michelle Berting Brett on Saturday, December 21st at 8:00pm, The Cartells on Tuesday, December 24th at 7:00pm, and Boogie Wonder Band on Tuesday, December 31st at 8:00pm and 11:00pm. Food & Beverage Offerings| Guests can indulge in mouthwatering food & beverage specials over the course of Countdown to Cheer. Bobby’s Burger Palace Drink of the Month is a special Dulce de Leche Milkshake for $8. Throughout December, The Crafty Stir Café will feature a Frosty Fusions drink of the week for $14; offerings include Pumpkin Cheesecake (December 1st – 7th), Peppermint Hot Chocolate (December 8th – 14th), Melted Snowman (December 15th – 21st), and Cousin Eddie’s Eggnog (December 22nd – 28th). On select days throughout the month, TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge will offer a Pu-Pu Plater for $30 which includes one piece of crispy tuna, satay bass, chicken satay, gyoza, and lollipop wing. From Monday, December 9th through Thursday, December 12th, Todd English’s Tuscany will have a $50 prix fixe menu featuring a Holiday Salad, Short Rib Ravioli, and Pink Peppermint Stick Ice Cream. On Saturday, December 14th, Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook will offer Ginger Snap Wings as a Countdown to Cheer special. Michael Jordan’s Steak House at Mohegan Sun Launches New Steaksmanship Series

The new menu, available on Friday’s & Saturday’s, features premium steak cuts (Wagyu Strip, Bone-in Ribeye & more) in three different flights, ranging from $60.00 to $223.00

UNCASVILLE, CT (October 26th, 2018) – The Steaksmanship Series is now available at Mohegan Sun inside the premier steak house in the region, Michael Jordan’s Steak House. The new special menu features “Chef’s Cuts” starting at $60.00, with the top tier, “The Legendary Flight,” checking in at $223.00. The full Steaksmanship Series can be viewed, here and they are sharable amongst couples and groups.

Starting with the Chef’s Cuts for $60.00, restaurant goers can choose either a 12oz Mishama Reserve Domestic Wagyu Strip with Shishito Pepper Au Poivre or a 14oz Linz Heritage Bone-In Cowgirl Ribeye with Balsamic Rosemary Cipollini. The next tier, “Flight 23,” comes in at $160, and features the above two cuts as well as a 6oz Savage Hill Filet Mignon with Foie Gras Butter! The last flight is aptly titled, “Legendary Flight,” as guests will be served all of the above steak cuts alongside Port Clyde Jonah Crab with Smoked Tomato Butter, Georges Bank Scallops Rockefeller and Maine Lobster with Drawn Butter.

The Steaksmanship Series is an over-the-top dining experience providing an opportunity for guests to indulge in the legendary meal. Available on Friday’s and Saturday’s, the elevated menu encompasses the most exclusive and premier cuts for steak lovers, gastronomes and celebratory dinners.
