Tickets on sale Friday, October 27th
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 23, 2023) –– Comedian, actor, writer and producer, Nick Swardson is bringing all the laughs to Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theatre for two shows on Friday, April 5th at 7:00pm and 11:00pm.
Tickets to see the Reno 911 star go on sale Friday, October 27th at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Subject to availability, tickets can also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Saturday, October 28th.
As a standup, Swardson’s Too Many Smells 2018 Tour visited theaters in 40 cities from April through June. Swardson also tours regularly on a bill with Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider. Swardson’s latest special can be seen on Netflix as part of COMEDIANS of the World where he was one of four comedians selected to represent the United States. He starred in two one-hour specials for Comedy Central, Nick Swardson: Taste It (2015) and Nick Swardson: Seriously, Who Farted (2010), a half-hour Comedy Central Presents special (2006), and his first comedy album, Party (2007), was certified Platinum.
Swardson was co-creator, co-Executive Producer, co-writer and star of the hit Comedy Central web series, Typical Rick. The series ran for two seasons chronicling the lives of struggling actors, Gary (Swardson) and Rick (Simon Rex), as they try to make it in Hollywood.
On the small screen, Swardson created and starred in Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time (2010), which ran for two seasons on Comedy Central. He voiced the character of Troy in the FX series, CHOZEN (2014), and played the role of Terry on the hit Comedy Central series, Reno 911! (2003-2009).
After catching the attention of Happy Madison Productions, Swardson quickly became a fixture in the company’s films. He co-produced and was seen in Sandy Wexler (2017); Executive Produced and was seen in The Do Over (2016) and The Ridiculous Six (2015); starred with Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari in 30 Minutes Or Less (2011); wrote, produced and starred in Grandma’s Boy (2006); and wrote and starred in Benchwarmers (2006).

Up to $2,000 in signing bonuses will be available for new hires!
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 18, 2021) – Taking place on Thursday, May 26th from 10:00am – 4:00pm in the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun, a new hiring event is planned with opportunities available in Food & Beverage, Event Support, Security, Marketing, VIP, Accounting, Hotel, Retail and more. Culinary positions will offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus and some Steward Positions will also offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus. $500 sign-on bonuses will also be offered for Baristas (Starbucks & The Crafty Stir Café), Support Specialists, Guest Room Attendants, Event Operations, Mohegan Sun Arena concessions and more. Bonuses will be paid out in increments.

Taking place in Mohegan Sun next month, December 15th -19th, 51 candidates will compete for the job of Miss America 2020; A special tribute show with current Miss America, Nia Franklin, is also scheduled
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 5, 2019) – Mohegan Sun will become only the third destination to host Miss America in its 99-year history next month and tickets are now on-sale at Missamerica.org/tickets and on-site at the Mohegan Sun Box Office.
The finals will be broadcast on NBC live from Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 8:00pm EST.
Leading up to the finals and taking place in Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center, Miss America 2020 will also feature two preliminary competitions as well as a special Tribute Show in Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theatre, where the Miss America Organization (MAO) will say thank you to Nia Franklin (Miss America 2019) for a successful year. Guests will be able to enjoy music that Franklin has composed during the past year and join other Miss America’s as they entertain and share where their lives have led over the past year. NBC’s The 2020 Miss America Competition will follow 51 compelling candidates as they compete for life-changing scholarships to be used to continue their efforts towards community service and education. The show will highlight a diverse group of young students and professionals who are advancing the message of female strength, independence, and empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact. The candidates’ official arrival ceremony will be on December 12th at 5:00pm at Mohegan Sun and will be free and open to the public. Other events throughout the week can be found at Missamerica.org. It will be an exciting week of competition, special events and community engagement, all capped off with an incredible final event on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 8:00pm on NBC. Scheduled for Thursday, August 6th, the ballet classic heads to The Cabaret Theatre
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 15, 2015) — The Hartford-based, Albano Ballet Company will be performing its Summer Dance featuring Joseph Albano’s Swan Lake World Premiere in the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun on Thursday, August 6th at 7:00pm. The performance is set to feature a backdrop designed and painted in an art deco style by Broadway’s Leo Meyer. Swan Lake will showcase all new choreography by Albano, encapsulating the definite elements of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet.
Tightening up the standard commedia del arte gesturing with kinetic pantomime and dance, Albano weaves the original story of a swan under the spell of an evil wizard with dramatic communication and contemporary theatrical stylistics. “Updating this signature ballet to today’s audiences is what my creation is all about,” Albano adds.
Only the love of Prince Siegfried can free the swan who is indeed a woman. The delicate, fragile swan bird is the image for ballet since this art form originated.
Hanna Holcomb, who made her European debut on the famed Ariston stage in San Remo, Italy in 2014 in Albano’s Symphonic Dances to music by Rachmaninoff, is dancing the ballerina role of the Swan Queen.
“Its nuances from swan to woman and vice-versa,” she says, “requires the ultimate in both technical and emotional transfer.”
“Only 18 years old, and a sophomore at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Hanna is the epitome of the gentle, graceful swan,” Albano declares.
Prince Siegfried, around whom the dramatic action evolves is portrayed by Eric Carnes, a principal dancer with the Albano Company. He is accompanied by Henry Seth, a 15-year veteran of the New York City Ballet, and others of the impressive male contingent in the Albano troupe.
The Ishtar Ballet opens the program with impressionistic music by Vincent D’Indy. A Babylonian myth, the goddess, Ishtar gives birth to life.
Leo Meyer designed and painted the historic Gates of Ishtar as the backdrop. Involved masks and headpieces embellish this theatrical vision.
Honoring the late New London composer, Dr. Charles Frink, who wrote the music for the Minister’s Black Veil, a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne, details a modern ballet dance drama.
The Minister’s Black Veil premiered last season to critical acclaim. Now, residents in the greater New London region will see both Frink’s and Albano’s collaboration. Both are native to New London.
