Games to be played at Mohegan Sun Arena; Media Credentials for all Events are now Open
UNCASVILLE, CT(September 5, 2024) – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced that tickets for all regular-season college basketball events at Mohegan Sun will go on sale starting Friday, September 6. Tickets for the Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game (exhibition) will go on sale starting Friday, September 13.
The 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena will host 20 college basketball games this upcoming season, making Mohegan Sun the place to be for basketball fans this winter.

Collegiate Event to Feature 40 Teams in 45 Games Over 11 Days
Uncasville, CT – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle Group today announced the complete schedule of matchups for the season-opening event known as “Bubbleville.” Games will be played November 25 – December 5, 2020 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Bubbleville will house several events relocated and reimagined due to COVID-19 and provides a controlled environment with teams and event staff adhering to tribal, government, and NCAA health and safety protocols and testing requirements. At this time, all games are expected to be played without fans in attendance.
The event will feature 45 games in 11 days, showcasing 40 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s teams. The schedule will be headlined by several preseason ranked squads including #2 Baylor, #3 Villanova, #4 Virginia, #18 Arizona State and#20 Oregon for the men and #3 UConn, #5 Louisville and #6 Mississippi State for the women. Select games will be available on ESPN networks. All games airing on ESPN networks will also be available on the ESPN App, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider. All other games will be streamed via FloHoops. The schedule to date is available below, along with broadcast information.
In the coming days, additional games featuring Oregon and Missouri will be added to the schedule on December 2 and 3. Each school will play two games, including one game against each other.
Events taking place in Bubbleville include the Roman Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper, the 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project presented by Continental Tire, the HomeLight Classic, the Air Force Reserve Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament, the Air Force Reserve Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Challenge, the Jimmy V Women’s Classic and several pods and single game contests developed specifically for Bubbleville.

UNCASVILLE, CT (April 29, 2015) — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and brackets for the 2015 Tip-Off Tournament. The annual NCAA men’s exempt tournament sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will take place Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut highlighted by eight schools in two four-team brackets with campus round games taking place around the Mohegan Sun Arena schedule.
Teams scheduled to participate in this year’s Tip-Off Tournament are: University at Buffalo (Mid-American), University of Florida (SEC), Niagara University (MAAC), North Carolina A&T (MEAC), Old Dominion University (CUSA), Purdue University (BIG 10), Saint Joseph’s University (Atlantic 10) and University of Vermont (Am. East).
“The Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at Mohegan Sun has become one of the most acclaimed collegiate tournaments in the month of November,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “Of the teams who participated in 2014, four of them made it to the NCAA Tournament. We hope this competitive atmosphere will serve as a stepping-stone for the teams contending this year as well. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will continue to serve as the host conference for the annual event. The MAAC has developed a strong partnership with the Basketball Hall of Fame, including the addition of a MAAC exhibit in the Hall of Fame museum in Springfield, Massachusetts.”
A pre-sale of tickets to all participating schools will start on May 6th at 10:00am via all Ticketmaster outlets and the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office. General public tickets will go on sale Friday, September 11th. Game times for Mohegan Sun Arena will be announced at a later date.

Mohegan Sun to host Tip-Off Tournament November 23rd and 24th
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 27, 2013) – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and brackets for the 2013 Tip-Off Tournament. The annual NCAA men’s exempt tournament sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will take place on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut highlighted by eight schools in two four-team brackets.
Teams scheduled to participate in this year’s Tip-Off tournament are: University of North Carolina (ACC), University of Louisville (Big East), University of Richmond (A10), Fairfield University (MAAC), Belmont University (Ohio Valley Conference), Hofstra University (CAA), Holy Cross (Patriot League) and University of Hartford (America East). “Once again this year’s Tip-Off Tournament showcases some of the nation’s best college basketball programs,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “We are excited to host the tournament again at the Mohegan Sun, and we are looking forward to seeing the great match-ups in November.”
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will once again serve as the host conference for the annual event.
