World tour features new music from Lorde for the first time in four years
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 21, 2021) – In a surprise move, GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum artist Lorde released new song “Solar Power.” The song, which appropriately dropped timed to the only solar eclipse of the year, came alongside the announcement of her highly anticipated third studio album of the same name, Solar Power. Today, the artist additionally revealed the album release date as August 20th and announced her 2022 World tour dates. The 40+ show tour, promoted by AEG Presents in the US and Canada, stops at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 7:30pm.

“Solar Power” debuted to fan and critical acclaim, with Billboard stating, “Solar Power” is a fresh chapter in a riveting book, and Lorde fans should be thrilled to meet this new author.” The Guardian called the song, “… a distinct reinvention, one that gleefully puts a gap between Lorde and everyone else in terms of her creativity,” while noting, “Lorde’s comeback single is a lesson in letting Pop stars take their time.”
Of the album Lorde says, “The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors. New brunch concept features exclusive food offerings and customizable cocktails every Sunday
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 11, 2021) – Mohegan Sun’s luxury lounge, novelle, is excited to announce an all-new Sunday dining series for brunch lovers everywhere. At Bubbles, Brunch & Beats, guests can dine in luxury with new and delicious food options, sip and experiment with unique cocktail blends and vibe to music provided by a live DJ. Bubbles Brunch & Beats will take place every Sunday starting February 14th from 11:00am – 5:00pm.
In addition to small plate favorites like steak frites, sweet heat chicken & waffles and the lavish charcuterie board, Bubbles Brunch & Beats will feature new menu items like fried lobster mac & cheese, house-made donuts with ice cream, and dry aged sliders with onions, bacon jam, arugula and private stock cheddar, with a side of kettle chips.
Guests will also be able to add their own twist to some staple brunch cocktails. Bloody Marys can be made traditionally, or with a variety of gins or tequilas. Garnishes include shrimp, bacon, cheese, pickles and jalapeños. Mimosas can be made with prosecco and orange juice, or remixed to include peach schnapps, pineapple juice or cranberry juice. The popular speakeasy style venue reopens as a new luxury lounge concept – featuring live music, a craft cocktail menu, delicious small plates, live table game action and more
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 14, 2020) – novelle, Mohegan Sun’s high-end lounge located in Casino of the Sky, returns this Thursday, October 15th at 1:00pm. The venue reopens with a rebrand, and will now feature live music entertainment every weekend and expanded gaming offerings. Delicious small plates, the perfect craft cocktail menu, world-class private party options, gaming action and more will also be featured in the luxury lounge, novelle. novelle will have full safety precautions implemented upon reopening as well, which includes capacity limits, distancing and plexiglass dividers on table games.
Gaming at novelle will be available 24-7, with unique food and bar service offered Thursday through Monday. The exciting return of novelle also brings a regular lineup of live music, beginning with talented singer and guitarist based out of New London, CT, Tony Marshall at 7:30pm on Friday, October 16th. A special music competition that will award up to $5,000 takes place in the Wolf Den November 6th – December 11th
WHAT: Local acts with big dreams of performing in an award-winning venue where Luke Bryan, Barenaked Ladies, Pentatonix and more have taken the stage will have their shot this fall. Mohegan Sun & Hall Communications are excited to present Locals Live 2019 inside the Wolf Den – one lucky band or musician could be chosen to perform live at Mohegan Sun, win a grand prize of $5,000 cash and earn the title of Locals Live 2019 Champion! Submissions can be made online through the WCTY website.
WHEN/WHERE: Every Wednesday from November 6th – December 11th (excluding November 27th) from 8:00pm – 10:00pm in the Wolf Den.
IN DETAIL:
Locals Live is back! Mohegan Sun & Hall Communications are hosting another exciting five-week music competition every Wednesday from November 6th – December 11th (excluding November 27th) from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Sixteen local bands and musicians – four per week – will compete live at the Wolf Den. The four bands/musicians that receive the most overall votes from the audience will advance to the finals on December 11th, where they will perform in front of expert judges to vie for the $5,000 grand prize and the title of Locals Live 2019 Champion. Second place receives $1,000.
Guests are encouraged to come out to the Wolf Den and vote for their favorite! The first rounds will include a text-to-vote competition from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Voters can text in their vote up to a maximum of five times, and the talent who receives the most votes on a given performance night will proceed to the final round on December 11th. During the finals, there will be a guest and celebrity judges to assist in determining the winner in addition to the text-to-vote influence. The winner will be announced on December 11th. Admission to Locals Live is free, and guests can enjoy $3.00 Miller Lite and Coors Light. Must be 21+ to attend.

All rules subject to change/management interpretation.
