Today, Louis Tomlinson announced the North
American tour dates for his headlining world tour, which will kick off at Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:00pm on Friday, May 26th.
Tickets are $99.50, $49.50, $39.50, and $29.50 and go on sale Friday, November 11th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, November 12th, subject to availability.
Yesterday, Louis Tomlinson unveiled one final taste of his upcoming album with the release of “Silver Tongues,” a rousing earworm, bursting at the seams with joyful nostalgic energy. Written with Joe Cross (Lana Del Ray, Courteeners) and Theo Hutchcraft from Hurts, the track is another bold step forward sonically for Louis.
This Friday sees the release of Louis’ long-awaited second album Faith In The Future. The title epitomizes Louis’ optimistic worldview, producing a collection of songs designed for the live environment. After spending the first portion of his adult life working 100 miles per hour, Louis reveled in taking his time to make sure he got his sophomore album right. He’s made Faith In The Future on his watch, and collaborators include Mike Crossey (The 1975, Wolf Alice), Rob Harvey, Dan Grech (The Killers, The Vaccines, Halsey), Nico Rebscher (Alice Merton) and the aforementioned Joe Cross and Theo Hutchcraft.
In celebration of the new album, Louis will perform “Silver Tongues” on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon tomorrow on NBC at 11:35pm. He will also celebrate the album release with a special, one-night only, sold-out show tomorrow night at New York City’s Irving Plaza.
Featuring both the anthemic first single “Bigger Than Me” and Indie Punk fan favorite “Out Of My System,” the album begins in emphatic style with the pounding drums of “The Greatest,” which Tomlinson says is a celebration of the relationship he has amassed with his avid fanbase. Other stand out tracks include Indie floor-filler “Written All Over Your Face,” blissful roof-down summer anthem “Lucky Again,” tearjerkers “Angels Fly” and “Holding On To Heartache,” alongside the retrospective “Common People,” a beautiful and poignant homage to his hometown Doncaster.
There’s a delicate balance to Faith In The Future with Louis exhibiting the full capability of his talents whilst never refraining from sounding unapologetically like him for a nanosecond. “All This Time” sees Louis dip his toes back into Dance music, whilst “She Is Beauty We Are World Class” is a full-blown Dance track perfect for an Iberian sunset, yet still feels genuine and honest.
Tomlinson’s debut album Walls was an album he needed to get off his chest, but he now has uncompromisingly expanded his wings and evolved.
In 2021, Louis was listed in the Guinness Book Of World Records for breaking the record for the most livestreamed concert by a solo male artist. Louis hosted one of the biggest live stream concerts ever held, selling more than 160,000 tickets to fans in more than 110 countries and raising funds for several important charities and touring crew affected by the pandemic. musician Jason Mraz today announced his first US tour dates since the onset of the pandemic. “Look For The Good Live!” kicks off July 30th at Austin’s legendary Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater and makes its way to Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, August 22nd. Mraz enlisted his 13-piece reggae band to hit the road with him, featuring many of the performers from his latest album, Look For The Good. The unique setlist each night will feature songs from that album plus re-imagined Mraz classics and never-before-heard new compositions.
“When we recorded Look For The Good, we knew we had created something special, something uplifting, that needed to be performed in front of live audiences,” said Mraz. “And then, right before our shows began, the world stopped. Like many artists we created quarantine concerts across the internet, but no matter how big the digital reach, it doesn’t compare to being in the same room. We’ve been patiently waiting for this day: when the curtain goes up in Austin — it will be a celebration of life, with a new appreciation for live music, and in-person connections we’ve all been missing.”
In anticipation of the dates, today Mraz released a ska version of his Grammy-winning track “Make It Mine.” The song is the first in a series of re-imagined Mraz classics that he’ll share in the upcoming weeks prior to tour kickoff. The updated classics and three brand new songs will be part of a deluxe re-issue of Look For The Good out July 16th.
In addition to the tour dates, Mraz will make a very special appearance with the San Diego Symphony at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, the Symphony’s new permanent outdoor venue on San Diego Bay, on September 26th.
Look For The Good, released last June, features guest appearances by actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish and reggae icon Sister Carol. Mraz announced on the album’s release day that all of his profits from Look For The Good, including his label advance and subsequent royalties, would be donated to non-profit organizations who serve to advance opportunity and equality for Black lives.

Fans Excited to Return for Major Sports & Shows

Mohegan Sun Arena was named “Innovator of the Year” by Celebrity Access in part due to the transformation that Mohegan Sun Arena underwent during much of the pandemic, becoming a broadcast residency center for sports including MMA, Boxing and College Basketball. ViacomCBS and Mohegan Sun partnered to host the most championship MMA (Bellator) and Boxing fights ever held at a venue in one year, seen by millions around the world. This partnership is also currently the longest running residency in the US. In late 2020, Mohegan Sun Arena was also home to “Bubbleville,” where the Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle Group safely completed 26 Division 1 NCAA Men’s and Women’s games in the span of 10 days.
Just before Mohegan Sun’s temporary closure related to the pandemic last year, Bellator MMA was the last public sporting event held in Mohegan Sun Arena. On Friday, June 11th, they are now planned to be the first to welcome back fans, in limited fashion, when Douglas Lima defends his title against the undefeated and #1 ranked Yaroslav Amosov. This fight will also be on SHOWTIME. A Hall of Fame Tip-Off NCAA Tournament is also being planned at Mohegan Sun Arena for the start of College Basketball later this year. North Carolina, Villanova, Purdue and Tennessee are expected headliners.
Additionally, Mohegan Sun’s award-winning Wolf Den venue inside Casino of the Earth is back. Limited capacity shows returned this month, and upcoming shows include local favorites Crazy on You – A Tribute to Heart, The 60s Explosion Show and Mullett, to name a few.
This past weekend, Mohegan Sun also successfully hosted the nationally televised Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend, celebrating the class of 2020. The likes of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Julius “Dr. J” Erving and other legends were on hand Saturday, May 15th, for the Enshrinement Ceremony inside Mohegan Sun Arena, which hosted 2,000 socially distanced fans. The popular speakeasy style venue reopens as a new luxury lounge concept – featuring live music, a craft cocktail menu, delicious small plates, live table game action and more
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 14, 2020) – novelle, Mohegan Sun’s high-end lounge located in Casino of the Sky, returns this Thursday, October 15th at 1:00pm. The venue reopens with a rebrand, and will now feature live music entertainment every weekend and expanded gaming offerings. Delicious small plates, the perfect craft cocktail menu, world-class private party options, gaming action and more will also be featured in the luxury lounge, novelle. novelle will have full safety precautions implemented upon reopening as well, which includes capacity limits, distancing and plexiglass dividers on table games.
Gaming at novelle will be available 24-7, with unique food and bar service offered Thursday through Monday. dates for its 2020 North American summer tour, which will launch with a two-night stand on June 16th in Uncasville, Connecticut at Mohegan Sun Arena. The headline run will also include two-night stands in Noblesville, IN, Chicago, IL, Saratoga Springs, NY, Gilford, NH, West Palm Beach, FL, Irvine, CA and Durant, OK. Dave Matthews Band is committing to help plant one million trees as a collective effort with The Dreaming Tree Wines and DocuSign.
