Mohegan Sun is excited to announce that for Prince’s trio of performances taking place later this month in Mohegan Sun Arena, two incredible talents have been added to the bill. For the Friday, December 27th and Saturday, December 28th concerts, Grammy Award winning Jazz musician Esperanza Spalding will be the special guest. For the Sunday, December 29th show, the amazingly talented Janelle Monáe will be joining Prince as support.
Tickets for all three of these concerts are $195.00 and $125.00 and are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Monáe has worked with Prince on her critically-acclaimed album The Electric Lady and opened for him on his 2011 tour, Welcome 2 America. Monáe has multiple Grammy nominations already in her short career and is Billboard’s “2013 Women in Music’s Rising Star” award winner. The Electric Lady debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and the single “Q.U.E.E.N” featuring Erykah Badu was ranked #1 on Paste Magazine’s best songs of 2013.
From the beginning of her life to her current success as a creative musician, Esperanza Spalding has charted her own course. Brad Paisley’s Beat This Summer Tour presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® has been extended through the first of March and renamed appropriately Beat This Winter Tour. The tour rolls into Uncasville, CT for a performance in Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, February 14th, kicking off at 7:30pm. Special guests will be Chris Young and Danielle Bradbery.

Mohegan Sun’s all-night New Year’s Eve celebration kicks off on Tuesday, December 31st
UNCASVILLE, CT – Mohegan Sun will be throwing one of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties Connecticut has to offer on Tuesday, December 31st. Exclusive events, live entertainment and plenty of champagne will be available throughout the night, along with an extravagant finale in The Shops concourse as the crowd counts down to Midnight.
MOHEGAN SUN’S PARTY INTO THE NEW YEAR
Mohegan Sun’s “Party into the New Year” sponsored by Moët & Chandon starts at 10:00pm inside the Uncas Ballroom. The cost of entry is $75.00 and includes an open bar, music by Skam Artist DJ Sid Vicious, a champagne toast at Midnight and a breakfast buffet at 2:00am to keep the party going. Tickets are on sale now through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster.
COUNTDOWN IN THE SHOPS COUNCOURSE
Thousands of partygoers will gather at The Shops concourse as the clock strikes 12. Complimentary hats, horns and tiaras will be given out at Summer and Riverview coat checks starting at 5:00pm, available while supplies last. At 9:00pm, DJae Mêlée will begin to spin outside of Todd English’s Tuscany alongside skilled break-dancers. To top it off, a pyrotechnic display at Midnight will truly light up the New Year. Mohegan Sun Arena will be featuring an exclusive Cirque Celebration show at 7:00pm. This 75-minute heart-pounding, non-stop colorful explosion of athleticism, acrobatic audacity and festive imagination will be the perfect way to ring in the New Year. Tickets are $25.00 and are available through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster.
At The Wolf Den, one of the most original 80’s tribute bands of all time, Rubix Kube, will be performing free shows at 8:00pm & 11:00pm. Come early as seating is limited. All guests must be 21 or older.
The Cabaret Theatre will bring the laughs for The Funniest New Year’s Eve in Connecticut as comedian Robert Kelly featuring Marvin Bell with special guest RC Smith take the stage at 10:00pm. Tickets are $44.50 and are available through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster.

Mohegan Sun’s newest nightclub, Avalon, will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party at 9:00pm with music by Clinton Sparks and a champagne toast at Midnight. The internationally renowned super-club is equipped with high-energy audio by EAW, in a stunning 10,000 square-foot setting. The event is for ages 21 and over and the dress code will be strictly enforced.
VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock will be kicking off their New Year’s festivities at 9:00pm with music by Skam Artist DJ Jessica Who. Stick around for a champagne toast at Midnight. The party is for ages 21 and over and the dress code will be strictly enforced.
Over at MIST, the celebration continues with a New Year’s party beginning at 11:00pm with
music by Danny Diggz. The party is for ages 21 and over and guests are encouraged to dress to impress.
