UNCASVILLE, CT (September 29, 2015) – Nothin’ but net is the name of the game for this Momentum Member, free throw shooting challenge. Outlast the competition through three rounds and score $10,000 plus the opportunity to shoot the half-court shot inside Mohegan Sun Arena during the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off Championship!
Round One
Round one is all about the free throws. Momentum Members are invited to take a shot inside The Shops at Mohegan Sun for a chance to advance to the next round. Shots are $5.00 each and unlimited rebuy attempts are permitted during this round. Guests are welcome to test their skills during any of the below times:
- Sunday, November 15th – Saturday, November 21st
Noon – 7:00pm
- Friday, November 20th
3:00pm – 11:00pm
- Saturday, November 21st
10:00am – 2:00pm
Round Two
Round two begins at 2:30pm on Saturday, November 21st. During round two, participants shoot three free throws; two orange basketballs (one point each) and one blue (3 points). Guests will have 30 seconds to shoot the basketballs in any order. At the end of the shootout, all players with a cumulative total points of 4 or more move on to round three.
Round Three
Players who scored 4 or more points in round two continue immediately onto round three for an old fashioned game of knockout! Each guest will take turns shooting one free throw shot. A miss knocks you out; the last player standing wins $10,000 and is invited to shoot the half-court shot during the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off Championship inside Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, November 22nd. The challenge winner, plus four randomly selected players from Round 1, will take a half-court shot during the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Championship. MAKE THE SHOT AND TAKE HOME $25,000!

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Sept. 26, 2015 – Executives with Barrett-Jackson have announced that they will bring the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction® to the Northeastern United States at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, June 23-25, 2016. Mohegan Sun, one of the most spectacular entertainment, gaming, dining and shopping destinations in North America, will host the three-day collector car auction and lifestyle event for visitors from around the world. Coverage of the inaugural Northeast Auction presented by Barrett-Jackson will be broadcast live on the Velocity and Discovery television networks.

The inaugural 2016 Northeast Auction marks the first time that Barrett-Jackson has held an event in the Northeastern United States. Coupled with the 14th Annual Palm Beach Auction in April, it will also be the first time Barrett-Jackson has held two collector car auctions on the East Coast in the same calendar year. Over its 45-year history, Barrett-Jackson has consistently provided a world-class automotive lifestyle experience for its bidders, consignors, sponsors and fans. The auction block will be inside Mohegan Sun Arena, ranked among the top venues in the world according to Billboard Magazine, Pollstar and Venues Today. Mohegan Sun Arena was ranked among the top 10 arenas in the nation, regardless of size.

Treat yourself to a weekend of trivia, cornhole and beer tasting capped off by the exceptional Sunday BrewBrunch.
Beer Trivia Night
The Sun BrewFest fun begins on Friday night during a special beer themed trivia night inside the Uncas Ballroom. Gather your friends and tap into your brew knowledge for just $20.00 per person. Tickets are available through Mohegan Sun Box Office or at the door and include entry plus one free beer. A cash bar will also be open throughout the night!
Saturday Tasting Sessions
Introduce your tastebuds to 200 of the best beers around during one of the two tasting sessions on Saturday, October 3rd. Explore a wide variety of breweries pouring out 2 ounce samples of their favorite beers for guests to enjoy in souvenir, mini pilsner glasses. Try and find your favorite as you taste your way through Craft Beers, Microbrews, Imports, Domestics and ciders. The DC Project Band keeps the entertainment going all day long inside Mohegan Sun’s Uncas Ballroom.
Tickets to the tasting sessions are $25.00 each. The first session runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and the second session runs from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
BrewBrunch
The fun continues to flow on Sunday during a new and improved BrewBrunch sponsored by Goose Island and Absolut from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The BrewBrunch, inside Todd English’s Tuscany, features an array of delicious brunch items, some with a BrewFest twist!
