Mohegan’s Corporate PR Team Supports Mohegan Sun, Mohegan Pennsylvania & other Mohegan properties
UNCASVILLE, CT – March 2, 2023 – Mohegan, world-renowned entertainment
and gaming brand formerly known as Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, today announced the promotion of Cody Chapman to Public Relations Director and named Charisse Huff Public Relations Manager. Chapman and Huff will assist on external communication strategies and oversee media relations for Mohegan Sun and other Mohegan properties, with a focus on the Northeast. Mohegan PR is led by VP of Corporate Communications, Jennifer Ballester, who has been with Mohegan since the opening of Mohegan Sun in 1996.
Cody Chapman, a member of the Mohegan Tribe, has been with Mohegan since 2007, where he started as PR Specialist for Mohegan Sun. In 2012, he took on responsibilities as Sports & Entertainment Publicist, a role currently held by Jacqueline LeBlanc. A key responsibility for the S&E Publicist involves media relations for the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena, which hosts more than 100 concerts and sporting events annually. In 2015, Chapman was named PR Manager for Mohegan Sun, a role in which gradually supported more corporate level initiatives for Mohegan. As Director, Chapman will guide the Public Relations team and strategize goals for the department, working closely with corporate leadership, Mohegan Sun leadership, corporate Communications and Mohegan PR firm, Coyne PR.
Charisse Huff joined Mohegan Sun in the fall of 2018 and in her time with the organization she has been a vital asset to the overall Marketing Communications department, serving first as PR Specialist before moving on to Communications Manager in 2021, where she helped synergize and streamline all major promotional efforts across PR, Social Media, Advertising and Internet Marketing. As PR Manager, Charisse will steer the day-to-day PR as well as lead efforts for major announcements, key events and milestones across the flagship property, Mohegan Sun, as well as Mohegan Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ.
Both Chapman and Huff will also provide PR support for Mohegan Digital, which is Mohegan’s iGaming division.
Major events that Chapman and Huff supported in the last two years include Mohegan Sun’s 25th Anniversary, the opening of TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge, the launch of the 11,000 square-foot Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook and the 19th annual Sun Wine & Food Fest this past January, which saw record turn-out for its signature event, The Grand Tasting.
Chapman is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and Huff is a graduate of University of Hartford.

(MGE) has named Nick Gilham Director of Social Media. He will oversee social strategy, marketing, content, monitoring and operations for all MGE properties. Dana Lambersky has been promoted to Director of Convention Services for Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, where she will play a new and vital role in the planning and organization of the growing calendar of meetings, incentives, conference and exhibitions at Mohegan Sun.
“Nick Gilham comes to MGE with a wealth of knowledge and leadership skills in social media, brand strategy and communications,” said George Galinsky, SVP Marketing Communications at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment. “Nick’s management experience with global brands such as LensCrafters, Purina and Stanley Black & Decker will give our guests the most welcoming, relevant and exciting social networks with which to engage.”
Gilham spent the first 10 years of his career working in information technology for companies such as AT&T. After receiving his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, he shifted gears and followed his passion for digital marketing. By 2015, Gilham would be named Marketing Manager for LensCrafters Social Media division where he oversaw social strategy for platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Most recently, Gilham served as Sr. Social Media Strategist and Brand Strategist for Stanley Black & Decker.
In his new role as Social Media Director, Gilham will steer the Social Media operations for the expanding Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) portfolio, which in addition to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, operates integrated entertainment resorts and casino destinations in PA, WA, NJ, LA as well as Canada and in the near future, Las Vegas, NV and South Korea.

Lambersky began her career at Mohegan Sun in 2001 as Convention Services Manager, where she facilitated the key objectives of groups, including corporate, association, consumer shows, B2B trade shows, special events and fundraisers for large capacities in a variety of event spaces. Within her responsibilities was coordinating and organizing all group requirements, including but not limited to food and beverage, hotel accommodations, travel, audio/visual, banquet room sets, event diagrams, entertainment, IT, ticket sales, tenting, security, billing and recreation. This vast range of skills and experience led Lambersky to being named Director of Convention Services in late 2019, where her role is now elevated to oversee all functions of Mohegan Sun’s Convention Services department. Lambersky will also liaise for all major group and event operations with all departments to ensure clear, concise and timely communication and execution of all group needs and logistics.

MGE Appoints Ray Pineault Regional President; Jeffrey Hamilton Assumes Role of President and General Manager of Mohegan Sun Connecticut

integrated entertainment resorts (IER) worldwide today announces two important promotions to further sustain and promote the company’s growth and development as part of its strategic growth plan for Connecticut and beyond. After more than 15 years of service to the Tribe, Ray Pineault has been appointed to Regional President for MGE, while Jeffrey Hamilton has been promoted to President and General Manager at the flagship property, Mohegan Sun Connecticut.

Ray Pineault brings many years of legal and business experience to his new position as Regional President of MGE. Ray will be responsible for ensuring that Mohegan Sun Connecticut, Mohegan Sun Pocono and Paragon Casino Resort meet or exceed operational, employee engagement, guest service, cultural, strategic and fiscal plans, while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance. As former President and General Manager as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mohegan Sun Connecticut, Ray has safeguarded and promoted the legal and commercial interests of the Tribe since 2001 and brings tremendous experience to this new position. Ray joins Chris Block, Regional President, who oversees four of MGE’s nine properties in Canada, South Korea, and Las Vegas. Assisting in the day-to-day operations of Mohegan Sun Connecticut under the guidance of Ray Pineault and senior leadership for four years as Assistant General Manager, Jeff Hamilton is poised to take the helm as President and General Manager of the property with more than 15 years of Mohegan experience. Hot Seat Thursdays run June 28th through August 30th with a chance to win your share of $10,000! Play your favorite slots, tables and stadium games for your chance to win. From 10:00am to 7:00pm, four winners will be randomly selected to win $2,500 CASH! Winners will collect $1,000 on the spot at the winning game and return the next day to collect the remaining $1,500.

Free and Fun Fridays
Each Friday, starting at 9:00am throughout Hot Summer Fun, Mohegan Sun will be giving away free t – shirts to the first 2,000 Momentum members beginning June 29th. T – Shirts will be distributed at the new Play+ Event Center, located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth. A different color shirt will be given each week. Then start the weekend with Party on the Rooftop. This 21 and over event allows guests to enjoy live tribute bands, fire pits, bars and games on top of the Riverview Parking Garage every Friday from 7:00pm – 11:00pm.
