UNCASVILLE, CT (June 3, 2024) – As The Beach Boys mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. The Beach Boys – who have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and an American icon to fans around the world — will bring their Endless Summer Gold tour to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, September 27th for a 7:30pm show.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 7th at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Subject to availability, fans of The Beach Boys can purchase tickets at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Saturday, June 8th.
Since the band’s co-founder, lead-singer and chief lyricist Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin’” (1961), dozens of the bands chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth: “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” and “Kokomo.”
The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards. The Rock And Roll Hall of Famers where also honored at the 2001 Grammy Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach Boys, Capitol/EMI’s 30-track collection of the band’s biggest hits, has achieved triple-platinum success with sales of more than three million copies in the U.S. since its release.
The all-new documentary, “The Beach Boys,” is out now via Disney+. Tracing the band from humble family beginnings, the documentary features never-before-seen footage and all-new interviews with The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, Bruce Johnston, plus other luminaries in the music business, including Lindsey Buckingham, Janelle Monáe, Ryan Tedder, and Don Was. Viewers will also hear from the group’s Carl and Dennis Wilson in their own words, plus view a new interview with Blondie Chaplin and hear audio from Ricky Fataar. A Kennedy/Marshall and White Horse Pictures Production, “The Beach Boys” is directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny and written by Mark Monroe.
Additionally, the group’s only official book, The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys, is out now via Genesis Publications. The book captures the group’s astounding rise from Hawthorne garage band to internationally renowned act, covering the release of their first single, ‘Surfin”, up to their 1980 Independence Day concert at the National Mall in Washington D.C., for an audience of over half a million people.
The Beach Boys are led by lead singer and critically acclaimed chief lyricist Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer continue the legacy of the iconic band. In the 20 years since the global musical sensation’s debut, Celtic Woman has emerged as both a formidable musical presence and a genuine cultural phenomenon. Machine Gun Kelly is a Grammy-nominated artist who is an atomic force in music, entertainment, film and fashion. UNCASVILLE, CT (July 7, 2022) – Special Olympics Connecticut invites thrill-seeking individuals and teams to participate in its annual Over the Edge event at Mohegan Sun on Friday, September 2nd. During Over the Edge, participants will rappel more than 30 floors down Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower to support Special Olympics’ year-round sports, health and fitness programs for athletes of all abilities across the state. Over the Edge participants must raise a minimum of $1,000 to rappel and weigh 100 lbs. or more. No rappelling experience is required.
