Weekend filled with spectacular culinary events and celebrity chef appearances
Sun WineFest 2012’s lineup of celebrity chefs and winemakers will feature top personalities in both industries at Mohegan Sun on Friday, January 27th ; Saturday, January 28th; and Sunday, January 29th. Celebrity chefs in attendance will include Bobby Flay of Bar Americain and Bobby’s Burger Palace, Todd English of Todd English’s Tuscany and Jasper White of Jasper White’s Summer Shack and Summer Shack Express, all located at Mohegan Sun, along with chefs Govind Armstrong, Donatella Arpaia, Kim Canteenwalla, Mary Ann Esposito, Elizabeth Falkner, Ben Ford, Marc Forgione, Larry Forgione, Bryan Forgione, Betty Fraser, Michael Ginor, Ihsan Gurdal, Andy Husbands, Robert Irvine, Susur Lee, Emily Luchetti, Daisy Martinez, Douglas Rodriguez, Jason Santos, Jacques Torres and Marcela Valladolid as well as winemakers Neil Bernardi, Jim Bernau, Aurélie Botton, Nicoletta Canella, Bob Iantosca, Kate MacMurray, Derek Rohlffs and Greg Winter. The lineup will also include spirit and beer producers Bernie Lubbers, Fergal Murray and Hugh Sisson.
Mohegan Sun Executive Pastry Chef and Guinness World Record Holder for “World’s Largest Wedding Cake” Lynn Mansel and his exceptional culinary team will also take part in the weekend events.
Chefs Bobby Flay, Todd English, Marc Forgione, Donatella Arpaia and Robert Irvine will participate in live demonstrations throughout the day during the Grand Tasting on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm as well as in the Celebrity Chef Dine Around presented by Moët & Chandon on Saturday at 8:00pm where they will be joined by the full lineup of celebrity chefs.
The Celebrity Chef Dine Around features an unrivaled epicurean feast prepared by world-renowned chefs and accompanied by superb libations including fine wines and smooth spirits. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the chefs, winemakers and spirit producers. Elaborate dessert displays presented by Chocolatier Jacques Torres, Emily Luchetti, recognized around the world for her award-winning sweet creations and the author of five cookbooks and Mohegan Sun’s Executive Pastry Chef Lynn Mansel will be complemented with the exceptional collection of Hennessy Cognacs.

Uncasville, Connecticut – Mohegan Sun celebrated its 15th anniversary with a star-studded weekend that included a sold out performance by the sensational Jennifer Lopez. Lopez delivered a spectacular show with her popular hits like Love Don’t Cost A Thing, Let’s Get Loud, On The Floor and her new single Papi. Surprise guests Fat Joe and DJ Enuff had the crowd going wild.
Celebrities in attendance throughout the weekend included Glee’s Lea Michele, Terrence Howard, Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo, Donnie Wahlberg, Kenny Wormald, Jaime Pressly, Maria Menounos, Jesse Metcalfe, Hugo Becker, Tinsley Mortimer and Kelly Bensimon. Appearances by Chefs Todd English, Bobby Flay, Jasper White, and Buddy Valastro, Dancing with the Stars Mary Murphy, Regis and Joy Philbin, Susan Lucci, poker extraordinaire Beth Shak, and performances by Stephen Stills, Port Chuck, and Dierks Bentley. Famed restaurateurs to take part in exclusive signings on October 22nd as part of Mohegan Sun’s 15th anniversary celebration
WHAT: Mohegan Sun is cooking up two can’t-miss 15th anniversary Signings & Sightings events with the nation’s foremost chefs & restaurateurs, Bobby Flay and Todd English. Both personal appearances and signings will take place in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, October 22nd. Flay will be signing copies of his newest book, Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain Cookbook: Celebrate America’s Great Flavors from 11:00am until Noon and English will be signing his successful cookbook Cooking In Everyday English: The ABCs of Great Flavor at Home from 3:00pm – 4:00pm. Both books will be available at Spin Street.

Celebrities ‘crystallized’ to appear include cast members of Jersey Shore, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance and others
UNCASVILLE, CT – Mohegan Sun’s Crystal Anniversary keeps shining with more and more stars scheduled to appear at the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination during its anniversary weekend October 21st – 23rd including cast members from Jersey Shore, So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy with dancers Gev Manoukian and Jonathan “Legacy” Perez, Season 9 American Idol contestant and Connecticut native Katie Stevens and celebrity chefs and restaurateurs Bobby Flay and Todd English, among others. East Coast Gaming Destination Marks 15 Years with Month-Long Festivities
Uncasville, CT (August 25, 2011) – Mohegan Sun, one of the world’s largest and most spectacular gaming destinations, is getting ready to celebrate its 15th anniversary and is planning to do it in style. The festivities at the East Coast’s top entertainment hot spot will take place throughout the entire month of October but will culminate with a Gala Weekend October 21st – 23rd highlighted by a one-time-only special performance by Jennifer Lopez in Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 22nd created especially for this celebration. Ticket pricing and an on-sale date will be announced shortly.
The weekend will also feature a celebrity salute to Regis Philbin. Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Stephen Stills and Country star Dierks Bentley will also be performing free concerts in Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den on October 21st & 22nd, while the General Hospital soap stars of Port Chuck rock the house in The Cabaret Theatre on October 22nd.
