7th annual event benefiting veterans and active duty military to take place in the Uncas Ballroom
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 11, 2021) – Vets Rock, a free event where Mohegan Sun and the community come together to celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources, returns Saturday, November 13th. Special services featured in the Uncas Ballroom include a career fair presented by Mohegan Sun, Veteran Service Organizations, Educational Services, Save-A-Suit, and companies looking to provide benefits to veterans and military members.
Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2021 will begin with an opening ceremony hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH in The Shops concourse at 11:00am. The opening ceremony includes a salute to veterans and active duty military personnel remarks by invited dignitaries, and a display by the Tribal Colour Guard.
Vets Rock Expo
From 12:00pm – 6:00pm, guests are invited to partake in the free Vets Rock Expo in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. The expo features over 50 veteran services organizations and a career fair hosted by Mohegan Sun. The Save-A-Suit program will also be on-hand, outfitting up to 100 veterans with professional attire. Pre-registration through the website is required to participate in Save-A-Suit. Guests can also donate professional attire at the entrance of the Uncas Ballroom.

As a thank you to our troops, both past and present, Mohegan Sun regularly offers a military discount to all active duty military personnel, veterans and military dependents at more than 40 shops and dining locations across property.
The Mohegan Tribe also provided 100 seats to the Mohegan Sun Arena’s Dashboard Confessional event. If you’re a veteran or active duty member looking for tickets to the Saturday night event, go to the website and register. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prior to the excitement on Saturday, there will be a Veterans Day key chain distribution at the Winter, Summer & Riverview entrances on Thursday November 11th.

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 13, 2019) – The 17th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest presented by MSC Cruises is switching up the brunch game with two brand new events: Brunch Battle and Champagne Brunch, both taking place on Sunday, January 26th. Tickets to all events are on sale now via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. Prices may be subject to increase if purchased the day of the event.
Brunch Battle
This year, Sun Wine & Food Fest presented by MSC Cruises kicks brunch up a notch with an epic battle! Two local chefs will go head-to-head in the Uncas Ballroom with only 30 minutes to create the best brunch to present to celebrity judges Aarón Sanchez, Amanda Freitag, Maneet Chauhan and Marc Murphy. The “Brunch Battle Champion” will win a $1,000 Mohegan Sun gift card and have their brunch featured as a special menu item at Todd English’s Tuscany. Ralphie Aversa of DISH Network’s DISH Studio will host the event, giving the play-by-play of each exciting moment between the two talented chefs. Additionally, guests can enjoy a brunch buffet with complimentary cocktails as the competition heats up! Chefs can submit their applications to the Mohegan Sun website. The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 13th at Noon.
The Brunch Battle is from 10:00am – 1:00pm in the Uncas Ballroom on Sunday, January 26th. Tickets are $90.
Champagne Brunch
Join Mohegan Sun’s newest ultra-lounge novelle for Champagne Brunch to wrap up the Sun Wine & Food Fest Weekend! Guests will have the chance to mix and mingle with celebrities while Brandi Cyrus spins a live DJ set. Tickets are $20 and food is available for purchase separately from an á la carte brunch menu. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend the event.

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 2, 2019) – Mohegan Sun is set to celebrate Mother’s Day in style. Spoil Mom all day on Sunday, May 12th with dining specials across property, special gift offers and deals featured by Carlo’s Bakery, Coach, Yankee Candle, and Splendeur – A Luxury Boutique.
Various restaurants across property are celebrating Mom with some delicious dining specials!
At Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House featured items include a warm spinach and artichoke dip served with house-fried tortilla chips and a summer salad, complete with a bed of mixed greens topped with grilled chicken breast, Granny Smith apples, fresh strawberries and goat cheese and served with balsamic vinaigrette. The entrée is pan-seared scallop primavera – fresh made zucchini and squash noodles tossed with pancetta and sautéed vegetables topped with pan-seared scallops. Moms get a free dessert with the purchase of an entrée.
Treat Mom to a three-course meal at Jasper White’s Summer Shack for $40.00. For an appetizer, choose between cocktail shrimp, a cup of chowder, or a mixed greens salad. The entrée is a choice between shack shrimp scampi with lemon sauce, spinach, and tomatoes, grilled salmon with a cool cucumber sauce, brown rice and asparagus, or aged top sirloin with garlic butter, home-fried potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. Dessert is a house-made daily selection. Add a glass of red or white wine for $5.00.
Over at Hash House A Go Go, celebrate with selections from the menu or try food and drink specials only a mother could love. Elle’s famous crab cakes and eggs has two all blue crab cakes topped with chili mayo, served with mashed potatoes, sliced tomato, a fresh buttermilk biscuit, and a choice of eggs for $18.99. Other specials include Hash House A Go Go’s famous blueberry pancake topped with sweet lemon curd, powdered sugar and whipped cream for $9.99 and House Roasted Chicken Benedict with sliced mushrooms, served on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, a split biscuit, spinach, sliced tomato and topped with basted eggs and a basil pesto cream for $15.99. Michael Jordan’s 23.sportcafe is featuring a special dinner for Mom that includes a sugar and spice salmon with rice pilaf for $26.00.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House has extended hours from 1:00pm – 9:00pm for Mother’s Day. Specials include Chilean sea bass, Pinot syrup, and a pomme purée for $38.00. Moms will also receive a complimentary “Mom-osa”.

UNCASVILLE, CT (January 14, 2019) – Two of Country’s biggest stars, Martina McBride and Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town, team up with Food Network’s Anne Burrell to bring Southern charm to Sun Wine & Food Fest’s Sunday Brunch on January 27th from 11:00am – 2:00pm in the Uncas Ballroom. Guests will enjoy country brunch food while watching live demonstrations as Martina, Kimberly and Anne share their favorite recipes. A DJ set during brunch will be by Questlove, famous band front man and Southern cuisine connoisseur.
